Valentines Day 2016: Love Letters

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for not blogging for a while, lots have been going on. But I have been doing my nails ofcourse :) maybe not as much as before. I have a lot to catch up but I'll start with my most recent mani. Will post my older ones later too.

I did these for a Valentines contest on IG and the theme was Love Letters. With on my ring finger a love letter and on the rest of my nails birds delivering the letters, roses and hearts.

Base Sixteen matte 646 did a saran wrap with Konad white MdU 25 and 55. And on my ringfinger I used a little grey too Catrice C01 Pebble Beach. Stamped with Catrice Rock-O-Co C01 L'Ombre A Sanssouci, BPS black, MdU 55, 8, 32 and Konad white. Plates MoYou London Scholar 02 (writing and feathered pen), Suki 03 (the letters and small hearts), Mother Nature 01 (hearts and birds) and Mother Nature 05 (roses, leaves, branches, birds and fountain).

I later made it matte with China Glaze Magic matte.

I think I liked it better matte what do you think?

Halloween 2015: Horror Movies The Grudge

Hi Everyone,

One of the themes of the BM challenge was Horror Movies. It made me think of The Grudge so I used the movie poster as my inspiration.

This is not the first time I used my own hair for nail art hahaha :)

Base Catrice Rock-O-Co C01 L´Ombre À Sanssouci. Freehanded the eye and eyebrow and added my own hair on it to make it look like the movie poster of The Grudge. And stamped the other nails with Sinful Colors Black on Black and BM301...no topcoat.

This was really fun to do :)

Thanks for reading and sorry for just posting a lot of short blogs.

Dry Brush with roses

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post for the weekend. This is my current weekend mani. It was the second time I tried the dry brush technique. The first time was with my Elvis blue suede shoes mani I did last month. I really needed something quick but fun so here it is.

Dry Brush base with a white (Essence), grey (Catrice) and red (Colorama) stamped the roses with MdU black and bornprettystore BP-03.

Have a nice weekend!

Tiger nails with MoYou Nails 303

Hi Everyone,

Today something quick I did a few weeks ago. In one of the fb groups the challenge color was Bronze. So I thought this pretty Bronze from Catrice would be great. And this color really asked for tiger images on it haha, so I could use one of the new concept plates from MoYou nails.

Base Catrice C03 Spiced Bronze stamped with MoYou 303.

And here some swatches.

This is from an older limeted edition from Catrice I think I bought it like 5 years ago in 2010.

And here again the MoYou plate I used.

Use this discount code: Diana to get 20% off your entire order (can't use this code in combination with other codes)

Flowers and butterflies

Hi Everyone,

For this weekend I did a matching pedi and mani. I am going swimming so I love to do a matching pedi. And it is inspired by the colors of my bikini.

It was hard to photograph the pink flowers are better showing in real life ;)

Catrice LE Rock-O-Co C04 Apricoco. Stamped with BP-34 the flowers and Mundo de Uñas Avocado and Tulip and stamped with Catrice Rock-O-Co C01 L'Ombre A Sanssouci the grey butterflies from Born Pretty BP-22.

And my matching pedi.

I really love this base polish, it is actually a matte.

This is 3 thin coats and it dried really fast.

Have a nice weekend.

MoYou Nails entire Concept collection + Tink mani/pedi

Hi Everyone,

Today I have an exciting and long blog post for you. I have the entire MoYou Nails Concept Collection to show you. This collection contains of 10 round plates that are fully etched and each one has it's own different theme. Like music, fairytales, Christmas/winter, summer, romantique, Halloween, animal (print) and more. So there is something in it for everyone and you can buy these as a set but also individually. I will show plate scans I've made, pictures, some details and my first mani and machting pedi done with these plates.

I know everbody loves a discount so when you use the code: Diana you will get 20 % off your entire order when shopping online. You can't use this code/ coupon together with any other codes/ coupons. Also valid on their US website, so this is great news for my US readers :)

* I used my own scans to make this.

I got all 10 plates together with a stamper, plastic scraper and their 2015 Catalogue.

Let's show the individual scans I've made of the plates.

Plate 300 music themed. You can use parts or go for full nail stamping but also single out images like the music noted and stars.

Plate 301 fairytales, how adorable is Tinker Bell I just had to use her for my first mani and pedi. This plate has this magical feel to it with the twinkle stars and unicorns and beautiful roses.

Plate 302 Christmas/ Winter themed. I love how this plate has small and bigger images. Like the snowman I can use as full nail coverage but it also has these smaller images to make winter sceneries. I almost feel like doing a Christmas in May mani ;)

Plate 303 animals and animal print. How cute is it that this plate animal heads and their print pattern.

Plate 304 Halloween. Even though Halloween isn't really celebrated here I love this Holiday and always do many Halloween mani's. I see myself using this a lot in October looks great for making sceneries (and that happen to be one of my favorite kind of mani's to do ;)) The Happy Halloween can be spread across 2 fingers and I just love the bats. I also see myself using the trees for non Halloween mani's like an Autumn scenery.

Plate 305 "Nibble, nibble, like a mouse, Who is nibbling at my house?" when I saw this plate it reminded me of Hansel and Gretel because of the house and the candy. I love that you can use the images as full nail but also single out the candy and other parts. This has lots of potential to get creative with, like french tip stamping or diagonal stamping.

Plate 306 Love/ Valentine themed. I like the text and all the cute hearts. Cupid is adorable too, but he is a little big for my nails but ofcourse I can use parts of it. And as you know I like doing pedi's too, so some of the bigger hearts are great for my big too.

Plate 307 Summer!!! Summer is my favorite season. I am born the day the Summer starts here, also the longest day...June 21st. The palm trees are so pretty and look at all those cute icecream images and shells. Yes I think I'll use this plate for my next mani :)

Plate 308 Ankh, crosses, spiders, bats and a skull. I think the crosses are pretty cool ands the spiders and web too. The Ankh is too big to stamp on his own but maybe for those with really really long nails or you can stamp it on something other then nails like your phone case.

Plate 309 Wedding themed. Look at those champagne glasses and the wedding cake. I think you can easily single out images to stamp but also would look good as a full nail design. For me personally the rings are too big, that is little downside, even using the shrinking method these won't fit. But there are other ways to use parts of this like for stamping a plain french tip.

I think this is a beautiful collection that has something to offer for everyone. People with long/width nails and also small/narrow nails or even kids nails. On most of the plates you can easily single out images too (not that easy on plate 308). I like these kind of plates because you can just stamp parts of it too and it can also challenge you to be creative and think outside the box. There are more ways too use a plate then just stamp what your stamper picks up or what you see at first glance :)

Like I said I find it a little sad the Cupid, the Ankh, Tink and the Wedding rings are too big to stamp entirely on a nail, but you can use parts of it. And I did use Tinker Bell on my mani see pictures below. My nails aren't that big they vary from 1,2 cm pinkie to 1,7 cm thumb. I've seen other bloggers and Tink fits way better on their nails ;) But even though see does not fit me completely I still liked how she looked.

Here a scan of a page of their Catalogue with the Concept collection on it.

And some pictures of the plates.

Now ofcourse you want to see how they stamp too. I have done a mani and a matching pedi using plate 301. The qualilty of these plates are super good.
Base Catrice (S)wimbledon triple stamped the stars with Mundo de Uñas black, white and lilac. Made a stamping decal of Tink and used Konad black for her and colored with regular polishes.

Also did a matching pedi.
Like I said my nails vary from 1,2 cm pinkie to 1,7 cm thumb so you can get an idea of the size. The image from Tink completely is about 2,1 cm in length.

And a swatch of this pretty base color.

I had a lot of fun doing this mani and pedi. And I promise to make many more mani's (pedi's) with these plates soon :)

Some more information:

- The plates are 5,5 cm.
- They have a nice backing with the website printed on so no sharp edges.
- There are small and big images on these plates, like Tinker Bell is about 2,1 cm long but there are also images that are only 0,6 cm (snowmen) so it really is fun for everyone.
- You can also find MoYou nails on Instagram and Facebook.
- You can buy them for £39.99 as a set of ten on their website or £4.99 each.
- Shipping costs depends on where you live but you can calculate them while you view your cart with items.
- Use the code: Diana to get 20% off your entire order (can't use this code in combination with other codes)

Have a lovely day.

Enchanting Fairytales

Hi Everyone,

I did this mani for a guest blog over at The Beauty Of Nail Polish. You can read the full post there :) I was really honored when Tara invited me.

I did a Fairytale mani a few years ago using Moyou plates. And this mani is inspired by that one,  I really wanted to do another one with Nailways Darker Period – Fairy Tales plate.

For the base I did a gradient with Lime Crime Once in a Blue Mousse, Lime Crime Lavendairy and China Glaze Neon & On & On. On top I did Catrice C08 Have an ice day topcoat for the holo sparkles. I stamped the images from Nailways Darker Period – Fairy Tales plate using Konad black. And the yellow stars are from Konad M34 using Konad pastel yellow. The white stars are from Konad M3 using Born Pretty stamping polish white. Painted the black near my cuticles and the door and path to the castle.

Looking at my nails I really want to go to Disneyland….I have never been there and it is one of my dreams.

Here also some pictures of my gradient base with holo glitters.

Happy Birthday in Heaven!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday (January 14th) we would have been celebrating my mom's birthday. So I made Happy Birthday in Heaven nails with winged balloons :)  I always like doing something special for her on special dates (like the day she died (Christmas), her birthday and Mothers Day).

Base a gradient with CATRICE cosmetics C01 Electrix Blue, C02 ApHolo 7 and C03 Holo in One. Stamped the clouds wiht Konad M79, the words Happy Birthday and balloons from Nailways Spring Time- Birthday Cake, the little wings on the balloons are from HB29 and the words I heart emoticon Mom from Fab Ur Nails FUN12. Used Konad SN white and black for stamping and colored the balloons with paint.

Also some pictures of the gradient holo base.

I really like these holo polishes from Catrice.

Real feathered peacock

Hi everyone,

In one of the FB groups the challenge is using real feathers. I used a real feather and painted it with polish (Flormar 46,47,50) and paste it on my nail/finger. So now my peacock really has a feathered tail.

Gradient base with Catrice C03 Hole In One. Hole In One, Catrice C02 ApHolo 7, Jade Hypnose and Jade Energy. Stamped with Moyou Suki 01 the peacock and Moyou Tourist 14 for the peacock feathers on my tips.

I was inspired by Dess who always does fun and amazing freehand 3D art.

Here another picture.

Have a nice weekend.

Holo gradient with Halloween ST02 plate

Hi Everyone,

Ofcoure I had to do a mani with my favorite Halloween plate too. I know most of my mani's now I used Bundle Monster plates because of their challenge. But Stampaholics ST02 is such a wonderful Halloween plate..I love everything on this plate. Remember last year I did quite a few mani's with this plate see here. You can also read and see more info in those blogposts.

I used Stampaholics ST02 and Essence stampy black (love it that it is matte) over a gradient holo base with Catrice ApHolo 7, Nubar Absolute and Color Club Revvvolution.

Here a picture of the gradient base.

Hi Everyone,

I am back from my vacation, so I will have some Greek vacation mani's for you. But also some Halloween and Fall/Autumn mani's too. I still have to upload my vacation pictures, so today an older mani I did last year but never showed on my blog yet.

Base Catrice C03 Spiced Bronze, stamped with BM04 and Konad SN green, SN yellow, SN pastel orange, SN red and SN brown. On my ring finger I've made a stamping decal with BM H11 stamped with Konad SN brown and colored them with all the other colors.

And some more pictures.

I forgot to take a swatch picture, I already had my stamping decal on my ring finger, but here you can still see a lot of the base color too.

Mermaids

Hi everyone,

This mani I did in June I am so behind with blogging. I remember I could not get a good picture of this base polish..it was so shimmery. I believe I used my bf's phone instead of my camera.

Base Catrice C02 Never green before (such a gorgeous color). Stamped full nail swirls with Flormar Supershine 47 and Moyou Sailor 07. The 4 mermaids are from Vivid Lacquer VL23 stamped. And the 5th mermaid on my thumb is from Moyou Sailor 01 all stamped with Konad SN white.

Also did a sort of matching pedi  Also Catrice C02 Never green before and stamped the bubbles and starfish from Moyou Sailor 01 using Konad SN white.

Thank you for reading!

Have a great day :)
