Today something I've made a few weeks ago, like I said I am so behind with posting. I actually did this when the challenge in AIS was saran wrap, but never posted them...lol :)
Base P2 Far East So close LE 030 Bluish green, saran wrapped with Catrice 400 Blue Cara Ciao. On my ring finger just the P2 polish with a layer of Barry M confetti effect Bubblegum. Stamped with Cheeky Jumbo 2 Tropical Holiday and Konad SN white.
And as you all know by know I love making a matching pedi in the Summer :)
And some swatches of just the P2 base polish.
And a pic of the saran wrap base and the Barry M confetti ring finger.
I entered a contest (not nail related) on facebook it was in honor of Father's Day. All you had to do was answer if your dad was more a rocker or an opera fan. And I said he was a rocker. You could win a VIP night out with your dad and I was one of the lucky winners...woohoo so funny I could not believe it. And I won member (sort of VIP) tickets for Rod Stewart in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Some other girls won a night out to the opera. It was also very last minute cause the tickets were mailed tuesday and the concert was wednesday so we were hoping they made it in time. But I had a nice early Father's Day present for my dad :) and it was really fun. Also to be among the rich people in the members area and lounge haha but if I am honest I like being in the regular area better. A lot of those members were constantly talking not even about Rod Stewart but also about business, and my dad and I actually wanted to listen to the music ;)
I am still not well at all but really wanted to go and also wanted to do my nails so I did them really quick. I won the tickets from Herome so I thought it would be nice to use one of their nail polishes too :)
Base Herome W.I.C. Rome, stamped with Konad SN black and BM301 for the sort of gradient speckled effect. Cheeky CH30 for the music notes and Konad M58.
Also some pics of my dad and I at the concert :)
In front of the Ziggo Dome, we could use the members entrance so no waiting..lol. And don't mind my too dark hair color, something went wrong with dyeing, but hopefully I will be able to fix it later this week. Cause in the front it almost looks black :(
The purple (not Red) carpet route to the members lounge.
In the back you see the stage of the support act Moya.
The nice bar tender asked if he should take a pic of us.
Moya, she was really good too.
Here a little video not good quality but to get an idea ;)
Changing the stage.
Rod Stewart's opening song.
At the end of each song you saw the title and from which album it came.
He had a lot of musicians with him and also a guest orchestra.
Still a lot energy for a 68 years old man ;) He could not sit still.
The background singers also sang very good!
Balloons fell from the sky ;)
Here also a video from Rod Stewart.
We had a lovely night out my dad and I :) but I still feel like shit :P
On May 5th we celebrate our Liberation Day, that means big music parties all over our country :) There are 14 Liberation festival across the country (at least one in each of our 12 province), with lots of stages with bands, music, drinks, food. And hopefully some nice sunny weather :) The logo of the Liberation fesitval is a blue torch with red flame see this inspired by the colors of our Dutch flag, red, white and blue. The Liberation fire is everywhere. So I wanted to do something with fire and our flag colors too (although I don't really like that color combo) But I did my best to make it look cool hahaha. Tomorrow on May 4th it's Remembrance Day.
Base a white polish from Essence with a layer of Glitter Gal Light as a Feather. Stamped with Konad SN red and SN blue and Cheeky CH52 (I stamped both parts separately) On my thumb I made a torch from the baseball bat from CH35 and fire from BM07 stamped with SN dark orange, SN yellow and SN blue. Made the word 5 mei (which means May 5th) from letters of MM03 and the platenumber of a Konad plate.
Another pic without the thumb.
And my whole hand.
I am hoping for some nice weather, cause I really love music festivals but not so much when it's raining :P
For all the Dutch people who read my blog..did you make any Liberation nails? And are you going to a Liberation Festival?
Remember my previous post that I said those black and white nails were a fail to me? I just wasn't feeling them, they made me depressed, not happy, so I really needed something bright. So I went for a neon gradient :) not very rocky for music band night but I so needed happy nails.
White base from P2 and on top a gradient with China Glaze Beach Cruise-r, Hang Ten-Toes, Towel Boy Toy, I'm With The Lifeguard and Sun-Kissed. On top a layer of China Glaze Wireless Holographic topcoat. Stamped with Konad SN black using Cheeky CH31 and the headphone is from one of the newest Essence plates and I made a stamping decal (see Messy Mansion's tutorial ) of it coloring it with white and silver.
And some pics of just the neon gradient base :)
I also had a birthday that weekend of one of my friends who turned 30 so later I added little 30 numbers on my index finger next to the headphones. I only have a cellphone picture of that and it all is a bit blue. It was fun teasing him, cause he did not like turning 30 years old ;)
This weekend I had a birthday party of one of my friends who turned 30 :) And it were the finals of our local open (rock)band night in the city I live. So I wanted to do something music themed. Cause I love watching live music. But somehow I did not liked these nails, and removed them the same evening and made something colorful instead (will show those later this week). I don't know why I think they were a fail to me, I just wasn't feeling it. They did not make me happy..lol.
A Konad SN black and SN white mixed sponged base with Spectraflair topcoat. Stamped with Konad M63, Cheeky CH30 and CH31 using SN white and SN black.
And another pic.
I guess they would have been okay for a rocky music band night, but I just did not like them (don't know why). I needed something colorful to cheer me up ;)
I was sure I already posted these on my blog but I can't find them, so maybe I did not posted them since I was busy with all the V-day mani's last month. But I made these in February. I went bowling with my family and my dad's new girlfriend and her family. So since they already knew me as a crazy nail lady (from stories my dad told them) I thought let's make a mani that is perfect for bowling. I had just received my Cheeky 2012 set that was my prize from the lovely Wacky Laki. I knew there was a bowling image on them. I also got some striping tape recently and really wanted to use that too, so I combined them.
A white base from Essence with Kleancolor metallic white on top, added striping tape and sponged over it with Kleancolor metallic black (and white) and I removed the tape again :) Stamped with Cheeky CH35 and Kleancolor metallic black.
Here a pic of just the tape mani. Since it was my first time using striping tape I wanted to play with it and did each nail differently.
I was really happy with my first striping tape mani.
Today something I've madebefore the weekend, it was snowing again so I thought let's make another Winter mani :) And I have wanted to do this for a while now, ever since I got that Traces plate :)
Base Kiko 401 (a gorgeous blue holo, I am in love with it :)) Stamped with Konad SN white and SN black. The snow at my cuticles is stamped with the sort of gradient image from BM301 (it's perfect for stuff like this :)), the little snowflakes are from HB23, the tree is from Cheeky XL L, the traces and wolf/fox are from Nailways Snowwhite-Traces A-NW00003, the snow dots are made with a dotting tool.
And here of course a lot of swatches of this pretty base color.
I really love this color, as you know I just have a thing for blue polish :)
The photos uploading problem isn't fixed yet but I did find it way to upload photos again directly from my computer. Somehow the button where you can choose files isn't showing in Explorer but it does show in Chrome. So I guess I use Chrome now for typing a blog. (although I am not a fan of that, because it has automatically grammar control so everything I typ gets a red line underneath...since it isn't Dutch ;)) Oh wait while I am typing this I find a way to set it for English instead of Dutch or completely stop it yeey :)
Today I'll show you something I did really quick and easy. A holo base with holo stamping :) I still had some of the China Glaze OMG holo collection untried on my nails as a full mani...shame on me ;)
China Glaze IDK a gorgeous lilac holo. Stamped with Color Club Wild at Heart. Both images are from Cheeky XL (or should I say Jumbo?) plate L (but the site said K2 when I ordered it for Christmas but the plate itself says L) So I will call it XL plate L.
And some more pictures of this :)
And of course some swatches of this pretty lilac holo polish.
