Halloween 2015: Bloody Gore

Hi Everyone,

Remember I did something similar last year based on a tutorial from PackAPunch Polish for a group challenge. I remember having fun doing it so I thought I'll give it a try this year on my shorties too :)

Base a red from Colorama, over that a nude from P2 that I've made matte with China Glaze Magic matte. And played with my dotting tool scratching it. Stamped with BM-H06 the blood drops on my skin.

This is so much fun to do.

Dry Brush with roses

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post for the weekend. This is my current weekend mani. It was the second time I tried the dry brush technique. The first time was with my Elvis blue suede shoes mani I did last month. I really needed something quick but fun so here it is.

Dry Brush base with a white (Essence), grey (Catrice) and red (Colorama) stamped the roses with MdU black and bornprettystore BP-03.

Have a nice weekend!

Thanks for reading.

Japanese dolls from Stampaholics ST04

Hi Everyone,

Today a mani I did last week. I really wanted to use the cute Stampaholics ST04 plate again. So I did some subtle full nail stamping with cute Japanese dolls. Do you remember the story behind this plate called 1000 paper cranes? Such a touching story.

Base is Colorama Rosa Mosqueta, stamped the full nail with Konad SN dark red and the dolls SN black and colored them (stamping decals) with China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle and That's Shore Bright. All images are from ST04.

And also a swatch from the polish.
You can buy the Stampaholics plates here.

Bloody mess

Hi everyone,

The challenge for the Bundle Monster Challenge was open wounds. But also in one of my FB groups it was zombie squish technique. I used the tutorial from PackAPunch Polish to create this look.

Base a red from Colorama, over that a nude from P2 that I've made matte with China Glaze Magic matte. And played with my dotting tool scratching it. Stamped with BM-H06 the blood drops on my skin.

And another picture.

I just kept playing with this and peeling parts from it ahaha, so later took another picture when it looked even more bloody :P

This was so fun to do and later also used this technique for another mani....a ripped open zebra haha. Will post that soon too :)

Thanks for reading :)

MPP with Hello Kitty and Keroppi FUN10

Hi everyone,

Every month in WON there is a monthly palette project (MPP), we have to use at least 2 colors. And every month there are different rules...for example using tape, doing a gradient, stamping (or no stamping which is hard for me haha) etc. This month we had to do a gradient. For me I always make it a challenge to use all the colors in the palette or at least as many as I can find.

Last week I also got the most amazing nail mail ever, FUN plates and stampers. So I wanted to do a thank you mani for Fab Ur Nails and Kelly who shipped me this amazing nail mail. They both are so sweet and back in WON we have nicknames Fab is Muffin and Kelly is Cupcake (they decided to call me Cookie lol). So I decided to make a Hello Kitty muffin for Fab cause she loves HK and a Keroppi cupcake for Kelly cause she loves frogs. And ofcourse I just wanted to play with my new plates too :)

The base is Opi Fiercly Fiona and sponged with that too and China Glaze Tree Hugger, Colorama Nutriverniz Rosa Mosqueta, Colorama Artistica Azul Royal and H&M U Must Have This. Added a spectraflair topcoat on top.

All stamped using my new FUN10 plate :)  Used W.I.C by Herome Trondheim (Norway collection), Konad SN white, Konad SN pastel yellow, China Glaze Tree Hugger, Colorama Nutriverniz Rosa Mosqueta, H&M U Must Have This for coloring and stamping.

Here a pic of my nails, the base, the color palette for this month and the colors I've used :)

And a pic of just the gradient base.

Also a funny pic when I got my epic nail mail. The little flip flop thingy is a coin purse made in the Phillipines (also had that written on it) I called it a keepsake and decided it will be my lucky charm, hung it in my nail room so I'll be just as good as Fab Ur Nails and all the other awesome nail artists from the Phillipines :)

Thanks for reading, sorry I haven't blogged in a while but we are really busy at home (decorating, cleaning, moving etc)

Christmas 2011: My freehand Santa :)

Hi Everyone,

I made these nails last year during my blogging break. I almost never do freehand (except some dotting or simple lines) but last year I saw these cute Santa nails on the Polish Aholic and really wanted to try that.

I still am a stamping girl so of course I also stamped ;) It isn't perfect but I was very happy with how my Santa turned out :)

Normally I do my nails so I can see them, but with freehand that is a lot harder ;)

Base Colorama (verniz & cor) 40 GRAUS, and on my ring finger also P2 680 glamour and Essence 50's Girls Reloaded 01 AHOY! Santa made with brush and dotting tool. Rest is stamped with M79 and Konad SN white.

Here another picture.

Freehand isn't really my thing (I suck at it and I just love stamping) but I do like making (or try making :P lol ) a freehand accent finger :)

Here also some Christmas sample I made in 2010.
Don't mind the freehand Rudolph and the lights haha lol. Some of these designs I actually had on my nails.

Here some all stamping Christmas designs from 2009 all Konad plates except the red flowers.

Maybe some nice info for my followers:
Konad Ireland is having a Christmas competition. You can all enter until sunday it's open to everyone. But you must use some Konad. Just post a picture on her wall saying it is for the competition and you can win a Konad kit :)

All I want for Christmas...a kitty ;)

Hey Everyone,
Today I'll show you my nails for the 2nd week of Nail Polish Canada's Holiday Challenge. Last week the theme was Snow and I made my Snowy Owl nails. This week the theme is Gifts, Presents, Stockings, anything related to you getting the awesome things you want.
My parents, my sis, our boyfriends and I used to celebrate Christmas with presents under the tree and my mom would be busy wrapping the presents for weeks. The closer Christmas was, the bigger the pile of presents grew ;) She always wrapped them in other boxes or strange things otherwise we would know immediatele what was inside. It was really fun, she always said when we couldn't come up, because she was wrapping them in the attic.

But as you know last year we spent Christmas and the week before in the hospital, while my mom was in a coma and could die any moment..stupid Cancer had won. She died 2nd Christmas day :( So I really don't look foward to Christmas, because it will never be like that again, and I don't think we will ever do presents again like that :( I so really miss my mom :( these days even more.

My biggest wish for Christmas is to have my mom back, but I know that isn't possible :(
Of course I also would love to get some holo polishes (Color  Club, Jade, Hits No Olimpo or other brands) and many more new plates (both Cheeky sets, MASH, Gals, Nailz Craze, Messy Mansion, MJ plates, FUN, Sugar Bubbles, Moyou and more and more if I write down all the plates I wish for this post would be really long ;))
My boyfriend and I talked about a new kitten too. I said I wanted distraction with Christmas and I love animals. We took care in the Springtime for two 18 years old cats, that belong to my best friend and I knew them for over 9 years. He was moving and couldn't take them with them, so they lived the last weeks of their lives with us :) I was really sad when they also died, so many loses in a year. But my bf said maybe someday we will have new cats.
So that is why I decided to make present stocking gift wrap nails with on my ring finger Chococat in a stocking...isn't he cute?
Base is Colorama Nutriverniz Melancia (from Brazil) and on my ring finger Essence 50's girls reloaded 01 Ahoy!. Full nail bows stamped with Konad SN wine red and the Christmas imageplate from the Nailways Snowwhite collection they call it A-NW00002. I also stamped part of that full nail image over my red french tip on my ring finger. And the presents and stockings are also from that plate, stamped those with Konad SN white. Chococat in the stocking is a self made water decal.
Some more pictures. I still miss my own camera. But I do my best to take decent pics.
 My whole hand.
 Different settings.
 Different settings.
The bow full nail stamp and my self made Chococat in stocking water decal :)
Here just the bow full nail stamp.
Here a swatch of the Colorama Melancia. A very bright red creme.
You can see all the amazing entries here and you can also still sign up for this weeks challenge and the next week. If you want to vote for your favorite entry you can also do it there, if you like mine you can vote on mine too by selecting my blog name D.I.A.N.A and fill in your name and email :)

Sea nails on P2 Deep Water Love ♥

Some of you will remember my Under the Sea nails that I made last year, this year I also really wanted to make sea nails again :) So I did. I want to cut my nails but left them long for this creation :) Long means more room for fishies ;)

P2 currently has a LE called Deep Water Love, there are 4 gorgeous nail polish colors, a dark purple, a light pink, a sea blue and a green turquoise. I got the last 2 from my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago, the pink one was sold out and I thought the purple was something I already have. The green one called 020 Green Lagoon I used as a base for this.

Base P2 Who Cares? and P2 LE Deep Water Love 020 Green Lagoon (this is really sheer so I needed something underneath it)  It's a bit more greener in real life see the swatch and photo without flash. It's a color that my camera really couldn't capture the right way.

What did I used for this:

Polishes for stamping and coloring: Konad PSN blue pearl, PSN jungle green, SN black pearl, SN royal blue, SN green, SN brown, SN pastel blue, SN white, SN red, SN yellow. Colorama Artística Azul royal and Verde palmeira. Konad silver glitter striper. CG Sun Worshipper and Nfu Oh 65. Stripers from Flormar NA08, NA04 and NA02.

Imageplates: Konad M21, M27, M34, M35 and H29, H20, H19, H10 and HB16, HB46 and GCOCL B01, and Essence plates and BM12.

I'm no star in coloring the images, but I'm happy with the result, from a distance people can't see I colored outside the lines a bit ;)

Photo without flash, here you can see the base color better.

With flash under artificial light.

With flash.

Ofcourse I also wanted to make some sort of matching toes again :)

On my toes just some bubbles and on my big toe also some fishes.

Here a swatch of P2 Deep Water love 020 Green Lagoon (over P2 Who Cares?)
Like I said this really is a difficult color so I only have one photo, on this the color is most accurate.

I just love summer and sea nails ♥

Have a nice weekend!

Brazil: my other Brazilian polishes

Like I said this week, when I showed you my new Brazilian polishes that I got, I have some more polishes that I got last year.

My first Brazilian polishes were a souvenir.
Two sets of nail polishes and a pair of glow in the dark Havaianas for me and a pair for my boyfriend. I also loveeee Havaianas ♥♥♥

Risqué nail polish in the color of the Brazilian flag. Yellow is Amarelo Real, green is Verde Esmeralda and blue Azul Hortensia.

A little bag with some great neon polishes from Impala.

Impala matte fluors from left to right: Club (purple), Shock (pink), Tech (orange), Fluors (yellow) and Spirit(green). Top with flash, bottom without flash.

Like I said before when my friend was in Brazil she took a photo of the store and from that photo I chose some polishes. When she was back I paid her ofcourse for these.

They are all Impala polishes, from left to right: Matte magenta (a really bright matte polish with blue shimmer), Rio doce ( a pink cream), Pipa (a coral cream), Gaivota (a nude cream) and Pier (a gray shimmer).

I few weeks after she came back it was my birthday and I got even more polishes, sooooo sweet ♥.

From left to right: Colorama  Marinho (a beautiful dark blue with pink shimmer), Colorama Note Quente (a purple cream), Colorama Azul Royal (a blue they call it artistica don't know what that means but it looks like a cream), Colorama Verde Palmeira (grass green same as the blue one), Impala Rocket (beautiful zilver shimmer glossy) and my favorite Imapla Pin up (pink with silver shimmer glossy... I don't know but it is sooo pretty)

Like I said I have quite a few Brazilian polishes and a really love them.

I got some presents....nail polish from Brazil ♥

My friend is from Brazil (she is the girlfriend of my best friend) and sometimes she goes back to Brazil, a couple of weeks ago she went there for a wedding and the carnival. She already said to me that maybe she was going to buy some polish for me. When she was back her boyfriend told me that she had presents for me...and this weekend a saw them and she gave me the presents.....it felt like my birthday or christmas :)

Look it's a paper bag.

A paper bag filled with polishhhhhhhhh :)

Look how many she got me, I'm so happy thank you Debora thank you ♥ I got 10 new colors and 5 neons (in the back of the photo) that I already have but she knows I like them and sometimes use them as prize for a giveaway or contest (I did that last summer she already got me the neons again for a contest) I'll show you the neon photos and swatches later ;)

Now let's see them closer ;)

These 3 are from Impala (I love this brand and the shape of their bottles). They are specially made for São Paulo Fashion Week (see the  holograpgic logo SPFW) and are inspired by a millitary theme. There were 5 colors made, these are 3 of them. The first one is really special I love it sooooo much, it's called Na Mira 3D and it's a holograpghic one ♥ The second one is a dark shimmer called Metal Glam and the third is a blue/purple/blurple cream polish called Azul Aviador.

These 4 are from the brand Hits Speciallità, new for me but I like them, they cover really well. The last 3 are way more brighter in real life, look almost like pastel neons. The first one is Passeio 412, the second one is Sorvete 402, the third is Caipirinha 415 and the last is Edição Limitada 205.

The first two are from Ana Hickmann (a Brazilian model who distributes her own cosmetics line). It's a red/orange cream called Salsa and a purple shimmer called Techno. The last one is from Colorama Nutriverniz, Rosa Mosqueta pink with shimmer the color is darker in real life (see photo below).

My 10 new lovely polishes :)
From left to right: Impala Na Mira 3D, Impala Metal Glam, Impala Azul Aviador,  Hits Speciallità Passeio 412,  Hits Speciallità Sorvete 402, Hits Speciallità Caipirinha 415, Hits Speciallità Edição Limitada 205, Ana Hickmann Salsa, Ana Hickmann Techno and Colorama Rosa Mosqueta.

Swatches on a wheel same order of polishes as above. Top with flash under without flash (you can see better how bright the pink one is)

I got quite a few Brazilian polishes brands such as Impala ♥, Risque, Colorama and Hits Speciallità. The first ones I got were a souvenir last summer when my best friend went to visit her in Brazil (she was there for a few months) while she was there she also took a photo in the store and I chose some colors I liked, so she bought a few for me. When she was back in Holland I paid them. A few weeks after that it was my birthday and I got some more Brazilian polish and now these 10 new ones. So I think I'll start Brazil week on my blog and show you all my polishes and some swatches and creations I have made so far.

♥ Debora thanks again for getting me and giving me all those great polishes ♥
