Carnival Bunny nails

Last weekend I celebrated Carnival....my outfit was totally wrong ;) I was a "sexy" sort of playboy bunny. And my motto was: Who says playboy bunny's have to be pretty, skinny and blonde....? Why can't it be a plus size brunette ;) haha. No this is bullshit it wasn't my motto, I did say something like that but it was more to give me some self-convidence and courage to go out. I can be really insecure and I'm not this pretty skinny girl, and I often call myself fat but that is just me always negative about who I am and what I look like :P The important thing was I got my outfit from my boyfriend and he liked the way I looked. And during Carnival everbody can be something/someone else ;) And it wasn't even that sexy because I wore a lot of clothes over/ under it, so hardly any skin was showing ;) and the bunny dress was knee length.  But for me it felt wrong but also fun...I know I doesn't make sense right? But most important is that we had a lot of fun :)

Anyway I love matching nails with outfits so I made bunny nails.
Base OPI Alpine Snow with one coat of Orly Gogo for the silver small glitters. French made of Golden Rose Magic Paris color 321. I stamped small bunny feet with Konad SN black and HB38, also some Konad SN psyche pink bunny's from HB38. I had a hard time taking pictures because the bunny's turned purple on the photo, but on this photo it looks real they are the same color as my french.

Me as a bunny ;)

My boyfriend was this Japanese/Chinese guy oh I had so much fun putting make up on his face hahaha.
He looks so sad and serious ;) but we were laughing all the time.

Bunny and Japanese/Chinese guy before going out.

My big butt and bunny tail.

Together dancing in a bar.
So this was my wrong carnival blog *lol*

I made my own water decals of the Alice in Wonderland characters and stamped with Konad SN blue pearl and M34. Photo withou flash under artificial light.

China Glaze OMG week: OMG (with OPI Absolutely Alice)

I know I promised you a swatch of China Glaze OMG - OMG but I can't seem to find the swatch photo :( I only have this one with a blue glitter french made with OPI Absolutely Alice. This photo is from April 2010.

But despite of the blue glitter french you can still see the color of OMG and it's holo effect.

China Glaze 2NITE with XL plate B and F

I finally picked up my XL plates B and F :)  (see photo's New Goodies) ofcourse I had to test them. The full nail designs are bigger then the full nails from Konad but my nails are still just a little bit to long and I didn't want to cut them yet. So I used a full nail design in a different way.

It is a bit hard sometimes to take a good photo of the nail art on a holo polish, so I have a couple of photo's. Base China Glaze 2NITE stamped with XL plate B and OPI Blue my mind. The flowers are from XL plate F stamped with Konad SN pastel blue and pastel violet. In the flowers some OPI Blue my mind dots made  with a dotting tool. Photo with flash.

Photo without flash under artificial light.

A bit strange colors but you can see the nail art the best here. Photo without flash and some weird settings ;)

I love these new XL plates and the XL stamp is nice too.

Like I said in my previous blog China Glaze 2NITE was my first holo polish but back then I didn't made a swatch photo of it. I do have some photo's of my nail art on it :) These are from April 2009.

Some big SN white and SN violet pearl stars, imageplate M15. And some little stars in between M3 SN pastel violet, right grey and pastel blue. On my ring finger 2 rhinestones a blue and purple one. Photo without flash in sunlight.

For my boyfriend, Valentine's Day ideas part 7

For Valentines Day I made special nails for my boyfriend Dave :)

Base W.I.C by Herome Valencia, white french OPI Alpine Snow and a shimmer coat of W.I.C Moscow. I made my own water decals of Chococat on top of a heart and in those hearts the letters of my boyfriends name. Stamped with Konad SN red and imageplate M80. The french stamp isn't that pretty it was a bit to small but too bad. Photo with flash under artificial light.

Here a photo of just the base.

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. I got some really cute presents from my boyfriend

Valentine's Day ideas part 6

Today another lovely Valentine creation. But I'm really bummed, I just couldn't get this normal on a photo. The flash made the holo effect too strong and then I couldn't see the metallic stamps anymore. But without flash it became blurry...so sorry for these bad pictures.

On the first photo you can see the colors the best and on the second photo you can see the design better.

Base China Glaze QT from the OMG Collection. Stamped with China Glaze Admire and imageplate BM11 and China Glaze Emotion and Konad imageplates M3 and M18. On my ring finger a light pink heartshaped rhinestone.

And some older Valentine's Day creations :) This one I made in 2010 for Valentine's Day.

China Glaze Lubu Heels with China Glaze Long Kiss roses stamped from M65. Pink hearts from M2 with China Glaze Admire.

The next one I didn't made for Valentine but it could be something you could wear at Valentine's Day ;) This is from the beginning of 2009.

The base is a french with some pearly polish don't know the brand any more, stamped with Konad SN red and green imageplate M40.

This I actually made for my boyfriends birthday in September 2009. It was his choice the base color and design. I find it also something romantic so it's also a good idea for Valentine's Day.
Base OPI Rosy Mistletoe-sies stamped with M65 and China Glaze Admire.

I'm planning one more creation for V-day, something special voor my boyfriend

I'm from Holland, can you tell?

For the Show us your country challenge on Parokeets I have made some typical Dutch nails :)
My inspiration were the typical things that are used to make my country recognizable for foreign people, the images that are used on postcards or you can see in souvenir shops. So I made my own water decals of those things.

My country is well known for their cheese so I have a piece of cheese on my pinkie. On my ring finger I have a farmer girl in traditinal clothing on wooden shoes holding a mill. A lot of foreign people think that everyone in my country walks on wooden shoes (clogs) but it is just a part of the old fashioned traditional clothing, of course there are still people who walk on wooden shoes, but that is mostly in the country life. My country is also famous for their tulips, so I have wooden shoes and a red tulip on my middle finger. On my index finger I have a mill, that is also something that can't be missing. My thumb has a black and white cow on it. You can identify my country by these five things, they all have a connection. You often see them together on photo's or postcards. Then you see a scenery of tulips with cows, mills and farmer people on wooden shoes. And the milk from the cows is used to make cheese.

On the tip of my nails I've stamped the colors of my coutry's flag. Konad SN blue, red and M44. The base is OPI Alpine Snow with a layer of P2 Divine.

So this is my way to show you my country ;)

Can you tell by looking only at my nails that I'm from Holland?

Valentine's Day ideas part 1

I know it is still China Glaze Kaleidoscope week at my blog, but I wanted to show my current creation. Valentine's Day is coming up so I thought it would me nice to make and show some romantic/love nails the next few weeks. After this blog I will continue with the Kaleidoscope week first. And in between I will also show my entry for the "Show us you country challenge" at Parokeets. But for today a love creation ;)

OPI Chapel of love, with metallic decals and I stamped with Konad SN blue pearl and imageplate M3.

Although I make my own water decals, I love buying different kinds of decals. These decals are metallic and a regular printer doesn't have metallic silver or gold ink ;) so I love buying special decals.

I bought these decals on Ebay, seller Chicasware they were very nice. One sheet was wrong, the protection frame wasn't printed on it, so when I used it the decals dissolved. And I contacted Chicasware and they were so nice the sent me a few new sheets, while only one sheet was wrong. So that was really great service :) way to kind but I really appreciate it.

My nails in a different position, the decals are really metallic so they reflect the flash of the camera.

The nailpolish color isn't accurate but here you can see the decals better. (you can also see the gold shimmer in the polish a bit better)

Greece Chios week 3

The weather is really bad here in Holland it's rainy and there is a really strong wind. I almost forgot to post the creation of my third and final week of my vacation. So now is the perfect time because I sure can use a few summer pictures to remember to good sunny times ;) The theme on my nails this vacation week was flowers, I took pictures of them everywhere, with a flower, in the sea and at the beach.

As a base I'm wearing OPI Don't Socra Tease Me I stamped with Manhatten Black and Konad PSN White used plate M75. I made yellow and pink dots in the flowers (Konad SN yellow and psyche pink), I didn't bring a dotting tool so I had to improvise and used the tip of a fork :) hahahaha.

My hand and foot at the beach.

My hand in front of the sea.

My feet lying at the beach.

My hand with a soda can of Mast, a real Chios soda drink with natural mastic in it. The island is famous for their mastic. Mastic is resin (don't know if you call it like that I would say wax or something haha) from the Mastic tree, that only grows on Chios. They use it in food, candy, gum, drinks, cosmetics etc. I also have a wonderful hand cream with mastic. Mastic is also known for several medical purposes.

My hands under water.
My feet under water. I also made a picture like this last year, but I find it so funny how everything deforms under water.

And then suddenly my nailart and foot was ruined :( I stepped in some oil on the beach.

It was soooo nasty and really thick, my boyfriend and I scraped some of it off with stones. But I couldn't even wear my flip flop because that was made of white fabric and I didn't want to make it dirty as well. So I walked on one bare foot and one flip flop to the quad/ATV and we had to drive more then one hour to our apartment. So I was holding my flip flop and sitting there with one bare foot, not the most safest footwear for a quad/ATV ;) Not that flip flops are safe but then I felt like I at least had something under my foot.

Luckily the owner of the apartments could help me and had something to clean it up with. So here you see me happy cleaning my foot :) And my toes and nailart became visable again.
