Summer with MoYou Nails 307

Hi Everyone,

It is very hot here in The Netherlands, so I thought it was fun to show some Summer nails I did a few weeks ago. I used the  MoYou Nails Concept Collection for this mani.

I know everbody loves a discount so when you use the code: Diana you will get 20 % off your entire order when shopping online. You can't use this code/ coupon together with any other codes/ coupons. Also valid on their US website, so this is great news for my US readers :)

Base Essence 28 Hello Sunshine and China Glaze Surfin' For Boys. Stamped with Konad SN white the waves and with Konad SN black the letters. I really liked this mani :)

And some pictures of just the gradient.

And also a swatch of this matte yellow polish from Essence.

Here you can see all the plates again.

And remember my name Diana is a 20% off discount code for their website valid on the .com and the .us website.

Have a nice weekend.

Freehand: Beach scenery

Hi Everyone,

Here my 3rd attempt at a freehand mani...a Sunset beach scenery. With islands, palm trees, dolphins, a hammock, a boat etc. I did these about 3 months ago.

For the gradient base I used a blue, yellow, orange, pink and purple holo from Teeez and Catherine Arley. And painted with acrylic paint.

And here the gradient base.

For these kind of sceneries I'll stick to stamping  lol...a bit of fail with the messy palm trees and all, but I did like the base ;)

Giving 2 little girls a mani and pedi

Hi Everyone,

This Summer the granddaughters of my dads girlfriend came to visit me for a mani and pedi. It was right before they went on holiday. The 6 years old girl wanted fairytale style and the 7 years old girl wanted vacation nails with a caravan cause they went on vacation with their own caravan. They had such tiny nails and it was hard for them to sit still, so not the greatest clean up.  But they were happy with them :) And I had so much fun doing their nails. I also did the nails of their grandma.

I used plates from Nailways, Moyou, Stampaholics, Konad, Cheeky etc. Don't remember exactly which ones.

They also wanted a nail tip with glow in the dark polish with their names on it and some studs/stones.

Princess nails.

Vacation nails.

Princess pedi.

Vacation pedi.

Hands and feet together.

Their mani's were inspired my some of my own mani's :)

And the nails of their grandma.

Thanks Myrte, Britt and Ria for the fun day and letting me do your nails.

Thanks for reading.

MoYou Nails: Dachshunds in love

Hi Everyone,

Remember I few weeks ago I posted the Dinosaur nails and showed you the plates I got from Moyou Nails I then promised to do another mani with both these plates. Well here it is, I did this earlier but did not had time to blog about them yet.

The base a subtle yellow gradient with Boulevard Ice Cream polish yellow, OPI Need Sunglasses and Essence Cherry Blossom Girl 01 Fortune Cookie.  Stamped the black Dachshunds with Moyou nails 66 and the red and orange flowers from Moyou nails 216. Added some dots in the flowers and dotted the little hearts .Used Konad stamping polishes. I mirror stamped one Dachshund (from stamper to stamper and then on the nail).

Here some pics of the gradient base.

My sister has a wire haired Dachshund and know that these ones aren't the same but still I had to do this Dachshund mani :)

Like I said in my Dinosaur post the plates stamp really well and so does the stamper. The quality is great! Make sure to check out their site for more great plates. And they also have facebook and instagram and twitter for those who have that ;)

Thanks for reading :)

Penguins at the beach :)

Hi Everyone,

Last week the challenge in one of the groups was penguin nails, since the weather is really warm here I also wanted to do something for the Summer. The theme at the Nail Polish Canada challenge is also Summer. So I've send these in there. You can see all the fun summer mani's and vote by clicking the link.

As most of you know by now I love making scenery/landscape nails and I often also write a story with the mani haha.  Fab Ur Nails and I sometimes do story nails together and we talked about doing them again with this theme too. But later so many others joined too it was so fun.

First my part of the story:

 “Tropical Holiday”
Once upon a time there was this cute little penguin girl her name was Sara. Sara did not liked living in Antarctica and wanted a new adventure, so she decided to go on holiday to some place warm. During her holiday she often went to the beach, lying there with a beautiful view on the lighthouse. Swimming in the ocean, cuddling the starfish, making sandcastles, playing with the beach ball and her kite. One day something amazing happened and she saw this super hot penguin "beach" guy.... He noticed her too and it was love at first sight <3

Base Sinful Colors Snow me White, sponged with OPI Sand in my suit, P2 Blue's time and P2 Who cares? Added some white for the waves. The rest is all stamped. Lighthouse and starfish are from Moyou Sailor 01, palm trees, sandcastle, sun, kite, beach ball are from Nailways Vive la Vie- Beach baby, birds from Stampaholics ST01 and the penguins from FUN8, the flower is Konad M32.

Like I said we started thinking it was just us 2 so here also the pic of my mani and Johanne aka Fab Ur Nails her mani. Her episode was at the beach in the evening. But I'll paste the complete story below :) Since a few other chapters were added between ours.

Like I said more people joined so I wrote the rest of the storiy too and paste it all together.
 The complete story:

“Tropical Holiday”
Once upon a time there was this cute little penguin girl her name was Sara. Sara did not liked living in Antarctica and wanted a new adventure, so she decided to go on holiday to some place warm. During her holiday she often went to the beach, lying there with a beautiful view on the lighthouse. Swimming in the ocean, cuddling the starfish, making sandcastles, playing with the beach ball and her kite. One day something amazing happened and she saw this super hot penguin "beach" guy.... He noticed her too and it was love at first sight <3 (mani made by Diana van Nisselroy)

“Taking a Swim”
Sara went for a walk on the beach and visited a great beach shop where she bought a new bikini. She wanted to look at her best for the beach guy. She immediately put it on and it looked so good  on her. After her swim in the ocean she walked around the beach collecting beautiful shells. But her mind was still at the hot guy she saw earlier. (mani made by Laurie Nievin)

“Catch a Wave”
The beach guy saw this super cute girl on the beach, but later she was gone and he decided to grab his board and catch some waves. During the sunset the sky turned this amazing orange color but all he could think about was that girl and hoping he would  could see her again. (mani made by Notty Norma)

"Magic of Moonlight"
After the long day and full of fun in the beach Sara was a little shy and believe it or not the hot beach guy was shy too. He thought she was soo beautiful he just did not had the guts to talk to her. When the night fell he finally talked to her. Sara found out his name was James They enjoyed a romantic evening at the beach under the full moon. Listening in the smooth breeze of the sea.. On that romantic evening the penguin love story started .(mani made by Johanne DG aka Fab Ur Nails)

 “Going tthe Jungle”
Sara and James were completely in love, both never expected they would find love outside Antarctica. They decided to go the jungle together. That was such a great adventure, seeing purple monkeys, a big frog and a beautiful tiger. They also saw this cute Toucan bird hiding in the bushes. It was such a great day. (mani made by Pamela Feader)

“Visiting the Pyramids”
Their journey did not end in the jungle, cause they also went to Egypt to visit the pyramids. The tropical holiday was really warm for a penguin, both compared to the heat in the desert that was nothing. They were extremely hot, but luckily they found a nice oasis. So they could cool down. From the oasis they had a beautiful view on the pyramids. After they cooled down they also went on a camel ride through the desert back to the hotel. (mani made by Sara Sue Sams)

Is this where to story ends or will there be more chapters?

After this more people did an episode of the penguin story. I will post the rest someday too ;)

Thanks for reading and if you like you can vote or/and still entered the Nail Polish Canada challenge too.

Under the Sea 2014

Hi Everyone,

The weather here is very warm, so for this weekend I had to do a fun Summer mani. I did a Under the Sea themed mani again :) (I do at least one under the sea mani once a year). I went to the beach saturday and my Under the Sea hands and feet had fun swimming in the ocean :)

Subtle gradient base with China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise, China Glaze Towel Boy Toy and China Glaze Splish Splash (over Sinful Colors Snow me white).

All stamped with Moyou Sailor 01 and Sailor 08.Stamped some seaweed, plants, coral. First stamped the pearl shell in white then colored it white and stamped over it with black and added a pearl rhinestone in the middle. Stamped the jelly fish in black colored it pink and stamped the top again with black. The starfish is stamped in white and over it stamped again with the peachy color. The crab is stamped in white too, but colored that with a little brush and red and dotted some eyes. The pufferfish is stamped in yellow colored it yellow and stamped over it with black. The shell and anker just stamped in white. And at the end stamped some light blue and white bubbles. All done using Konad stamping polishes and some mixes of those.

As you know I love doing matching pedi's (especially in the Summer) so here are my toesies :)
A subtle gradient with China Glaze Towel Boy Toy and China Glaze Splish Splash. Made a stamping decal of the octopus from Moyou Sailor 08 for my big toes. And stamped the same bubbles on the rest of my toes.

Thought some might also like to see my other hand. I always try to make it match but taking a normal pic from that hand is hard :P

And a picture of both hand and foot together.

Thanks for reading!

Terschelling, World Cup and Oerol festival

Hi Everyone,

As many of you know I love going to Terschelling, one of the Dutch Wadden Island. I love the nature and feeling there, it always feels like home when I am there. We used to go there when we were little too. Every in June there is the Oerol festival there, this means music, theater, plays etc. There are sooo many people on the island and and it is always fun. This year we are also there and just like other years I wanted to do a Terschelling scenery but the World Cup is also now and I also always love to do something for that too....so I combined those things...

Terschelling is turning orange for the World Cup during the Oerol festival...with soccer balls all over the island and a beautiful orange sunset sky ;)

Holo base using many holo's from Golden Rose Paris, DA, Catherine Arley, Nail Nation. Self made water decals of the seagull on the pole, the seals, seagull, the lighthouse Brandaris, the flag from Terschelling, the Oerol logo, the boat. Painted the back white on some decals to make them pop. And stamped the soccer balls from Moyou Tourist 14 and Konad M49 first in white then colored them and stamped over the in black, stamped the green grass from Konad M66 and M29, and the flying seagulls are from Stampaholis ST01. Using Konad SN black, green and white.

Another picture with different light.

Also did a pedi ofcourse. Base Impala Tech with Hits Demeter (both Brazilian brands so hopefully they will bring us luck in Brazil ;)) The soccer balls from Konad M49 and self made water decals from the Terschelling flag and Oerol logo.

And my hand with my toes together. A bumped my toe while it was still wet so the ball is not round anymore haha, tried to fix it.

I usually also post some pictures of our vacation there. But I will do that in another post since I planned this post, and I haven't been on the computer since my vacation so those pictures aren't on the computer yet.

Thanks for reading.

Origami birds with the new Stampaholics ST04 plate

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a very happy Summer mani and pedi to show you. And my review about the the new Stampaholics ST04 plate that I used to make these. I received that plate this week and had to use it immediately. I think it is such a lovely plate. And the weather is really nice here too, so what is better then to stamp my finger and my toe nails :) I always love a matching mani/pedi. First I'll show the nail art picture and at the end the pictures of the plate. So I have a lot of pics for you.

A gradient base with China Glaze Son of a Peach and China Glaze That's Shore Bright. Stamped with Konad SN white the full nail origami image and used Konad SN black for the origami birds (paper cranes).

And here my mani with the matching pedi.

And a picture of both my feet.

Ana from Stampaholics included a little origami paper so I could fold my own paper crane. My peace crane will get a nice place in my nail room :)

Also a picture of just the full nail stamping.

And some pics of the gradient base.

I really love these colors together.

Ofcourse I also have swatches of just the base color China Glaze Son of a Peach.

I really like this color, I did needed lots of coats to even it out and make it opague but it dries really fast so that wasn't a problem.

Now some pictures of the 4th Stampaholics plate 1000 paper cranes.

Here is the story she posted together with this promo picture.

1000 paper cranes Sadako Sasaki was two years old when the bomb was dropped on her home city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Sadako seemed to escape any ill effects after her exposure to the bomb, until, ten years later, she developed leukemia, "the atom bomb disease."
When she was in the hospital, her friend Chizuko brought her a folded paper crane and told her the story about it. According to Japanese legend, the crane lives for a thousand years, and a sick person who folds a thousand cranes will become well again.
Sadako folded cranes throughout her illness. The flock hung above her bed on strings. When she died at the age of twelve, Sadako had folded six hundred and forty-four cranes. Classmates folded the remaining three hundred and fifty-six cranes, so that one thousand were buried with Sadako. In 1958, with contributions from school children, a statue was erected in Hiroshima Peace Park, dedicated to Sadako and to all children who were killed by the atom bomb.

Each year on August 6, Peace Day, thousands of paper cranes are placed beneath Sadako's statue by people who wish to remember Hiroshima and express their hopes for a peaceful world. Their prayer is engraved on the base of the statue: This is our cry, this is our prayer; Peace in the world "Peace Crane, I will write peace on your wings and you will fly all over the world." Sadako Sasaki, age 12

Look at all those cute images ^_^

And some quick paper swacthes.
Just like the other ST plates I love this one too. I love that is has full nail images (2,0 cm by 1,5 cm) and single images. And it stamps great.

You can order this plate by sending her a mesage on her facebook Stampaholics or visiting her store

Thanks for reading!

Have a nice weekend.
