Snowflake toes in the snow!

Hi Everyone,

I made these nails 2 weeks ago, when we went to a subtropical pool and there was a lot of snow that day here in Holland. Too bad the snow is now gone :( My boyfriend bought us a new camera, one that also can get wet :) So we took it with us to the pool..had soo much fun that day taking crazy pics under water and outside in the snow in our bikini's /swim shorts. The outside pool was very warm and when we climbed out to play in the snow it wasn't even that cold and then jumping in the water was soooo hot. Not going to post my snowy bikini pics here..lol but did made pics of my toes in the outside pool with the snowy trees in the background.

Because of the warm water and the outside temperature below zero the pool was very steamy/foggy. Especially when it was dark you couldn't see a thing :) This made the wildwater track even more fun :)

Base Teeez Cool (a pretty blue holographic) and stamped with XL plate O (that is a dupe of XL K) with Konad SN white.

It was such a nice day.

Here a close up of my foot.

The dark days before Christmas!

Hi Everyone,

Today I'll show you something I made last year in me blogging break. It were the dark days before Christmas....not knowing Christmas it self would be even darker and my mom would actually die on 2nd Christmas day :( I know most of you know she died last year and I really find it difficult to handle especially these days and that Christmas is coming closer. So I'll just distract my self with blogging, doing my nails more often ;) and entering challenges/contest for the fun :)

But for today a creation from last year :)

Base Color Club Totaly Mystery. Sponged with Konad SN white. The little houses and trees are stamped with HB33 and the tiny snowflakes come from HB23, all stamped with Konad SN white.

Here some swatches of this beautiful blue base, I got it from a friend.

Although I don't really feel like celebrating Christmas, we did buy 2 Christmas trees today, one for us and one for at my parents place. My mom really loved Christmas, so I do want to decorate our houses. I always love the lights and stuff. And maybe she is a Christmas angel watching down and she would like to see our houses decorated :)

Christmas 2009: Disney babies ♥

Hello Everyone,

I want to thank everyone who voted for me the last 3 weeks in the Nail Polish Canada holiday challenge. I can't actually win anything since I am not in the US or Canada but I did had fun and appreciated your votes :)

Today I'll show you something old :) I made these in 2009. Not so good cleaned up, but like I said several times I do like sharing my older creations too. And despite the bit messy cutticles I still think these are cute ;) (only my nails are a bit too long).

Base is China Glaze Snow with Nfu Oh 38 flakies. Stamped with Konad M12 the holly and the words Merry Christmas. Using SN wine red and SN green. The Disney Christmas babies are selfmade water decals :)

With different light, you see the flakies a bit better.

And of course a swatch of just the white base with flakies.
China Glaze Snow with Nfu Oh 38.

Thanks for reading :) I still have a lot of other older Christmas creations to show you :)

Decorated Christmas Tree nails

Hi Everyone.

Today I'll show you my 3rd and final entry for the Nail Polish Canada Holiday challenge. I had so much fun entering all these 3 weeks, and I am very happy and honored they invited me to join :)

This week the theme is: Trim the Tree (Holiday Decorations): lights, ornaments, tinsel, frosting, heck, even popcorn on a string if that's your thing. Let's see your nails all dolled up like a Christmas Tree!

So I decided to make my nails look like decorated Christmas trees with a green base and all kinds of cute Christmas balls, ornaments and of course my barbed wire Christmas candle lights on my ring finger :) At my parents place we have lights shaped like real candles so I really wanted to do that too and I used the barbed wire to represent the power cord..LOL. The candle shaped Christmas lights remind me of the nice Christmas days we had as a family with my mom :(

Base a green holo franken made with a lot of polishes (too manu to mention) and Spectraflair. Stamped with Nailways' Snowwhite Christmas plate A-NW00002 (the balls, candles, present, ginger bread, tree, teddy bear, candy cane) with Konad SN blue, SN sky blue, SN white, SN yellow, SN green, SN brown, SN red. A Essence plate for the SN red ribbons. And BM323 for the barbed wire under the candles with SN black. I drew the black lines.

Another pic with different light.

It is snowing a lot here in Holland so I took a pic from our bedroom, you see our garden and view...everything is white :) The water in the ditch is a bit frozen, luckily our own little pond isn't.

Here some swatches of my green holo franken base.

I really like this green holo :)

With different light.

These aren't my favorite/prettiest nails I have ever made, but I had fun doing these :)

You can see all this weeks entries here and of course you can all vote again this week for you favorite. There is also still time to join yourself :) If you like mine you can also vote for me, by selecting my blog name D.I.A.N.A and fill in your name and email. Voting closes December 12.

The prizes are open to US and Canada only so I can't win, but I do appreciate your votes :)

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Thanks for reading.

Christmas 2011: My freehand Santa :)

Hi Everyone,

I made these nails last year during my blogging break. I almost never do freehand (except some dotting or simple lines) but last year I saw these cute Santa nails on the Polish Aholic and really wanted to try that.

I still am a stamping girl so of course I also stamped ;) It isn't perfect but I was very happy with how my Santa turned out :)

Normally I do my nails so I can see them, but with freehand that is a lot harder ;)

Base Colorama (verniz & cor) 40 GRAUS, and on my ring finger also P2 680 glamour and Essence 50's Girls Reloaded 01 AHOY! Santa made with brush and dotting tool. Rest is stamped with M79 and Konad SN white.

Here another picture.

Freehand isn't really my thing (I suck at it and I just love stamping) but I do like making (or try making :P lol ) a freehand accent finger :)

Here also some Christmas sample I made in 2010.
Don't mind the freehand Rudolph and the lights haha lol. Some of these designs I actually had on my nails.

Here some all stamping Christmas designs from 2009 all Konad plates except the red flowers.

Maybe some nice info for my followers:
Konad Ireland is having a Christmas competition. You can all enter until sunday it's open to everyone. But you must use some Konad. Just post a picture on her wall saying it is for the competition and you can win a Konad kit :)

Thanks for reading.

It's a snowy day!

Hi Everyone,

I made these nails last week, before I I made them a bit shorter ;) I realy love making themed nails. They predicted snow this weekend so I decided to make an ice cold winter snowy day on my nails.

Base Essence 50's girls reloaded 01 Ahoy with a gradient of Essence You Rock 05 Speed of light blue, China Glaze Towel Boy Toy and China Glaze Splish Splash. Topcoat Catrice C06 Godfather of pearl for the blue shimmer/glitter. Stamped with XL O (it's a dupe from XL K), Nailways' own Christmas plate (snowwhite collection) A-NW00002, BM318, BM319, HB012, HB23, M11 and M12. Stamped with Konad SN white and Nfu Oh 65 (light blue holo).

Different light.

And some pictures of the gradient base. I really liked this gradient :)

I really like blue :)

This weekend I went to Germany to a Christmas Fair with my sis and my boyfriend. I got some nice cheap polishes for Christmas already :) 3 Flormars and one holo from Kiko...I was soo happy loveee holo.

It was already nine o'clock in the evening. But the shops and the market were open until 10.

Me and my sis at the Christmas fair/market or how you call it ;)

Here you see a crazy pic of me at the Christmas fair with my Chococat nails. It was snowing really hard, it was wet snow but did stayed on my hair and sleeve.

If you look closely you see the snow falling. It was sooo cold and we were soaked, so went inside the shopping mall again for some hot choco ;)

I got this cute warm microwave stuffed animal from boyfriend. If you put it in the microwave it becomes really warm...perfect for cold days. They had many kinds but I loved the black sheep...I sometimes also feel like a black sheep ;)

Me and my black sheep after the long cold snowy Christmas market shopping day.

Christmas 2008: Happy Snowmen

Hi Everyone,

Today another oldie from 2008. Hope you do like seeing my older mani's?

Again I took a picture of my right hand, so I really think I had a broken nail on my left hand. Because normally I really take pics of my left hand or show both of them, never just my right hand ;)

A silver base (no idea what brand could be P2 but I do know I don't have it anymore) Stamped with Konad M12 and M40 using PSN gold black and SN red.

I really find it funny to see all my older mani's some are really not well cleaned up, sometimes my nails shape is different or shorter or reallllly long, it's funny and I do like the designs.

Christmas trees from 2008 :)

Hi everyone,

Today I have a real oldie for you haha, I made during Christmas time in 2008. I also like sharing my oldies with you, I wasn't very good in clean up back then..did not had a brush. But I don't mind sharing them. This was in me first year of stamping and I like looking at my oldies too :)

Not really sure why I took pics of my right hand?? I guess I had a broken nail on my left hand back then ;)

Base a pink pearl polish (don't know the brand any more but I suspect Catrice since I did not had many polishes back then) with a white french. Stamped with Konad M3, M12 and M35 and SN green, SN yellow, SN red, SN white and PSN chocolate brown. On my index a blue star glitter or rhinestone or something.

This was the original photo when you saw part of the Christmas tree, but I zoomed a bit so you could see the nails better.

Hope you like seeing my oldies too?

Christmas nails 2011: Forever Friends Reindeer

Hi Everyone,

As I told you I still have some Christmas nails to show you from last year while I had a blogging break because of my mom's disease. I also have some more from before I started blogging. So in between my new mani's I'll will show all of these too.

I made these in December last year.

Base China Glaze Touch of Glamour. Stamped with Konad SN red and imageplate M59 (big snowflakes) and HB23 smaller red snowflakes. The golden snowflakes are stamped with China Glaze 2030 and Konad M11. The Forever Friends Reindeer are self made water decals. Later added a layer of China Glaze Wireless holographic topcoat, the flash and light made the effect stronger then it really was. In real life you only saw some glitter sometimes.

 With different light.

Without the holo topcoat, you see the decals better. But like I said in real life the decals were very clear with the topcoat too, it was the flash and light that made it soo holo ;)

Some swatches of China Glaze Touch of Glamour.

I know it is not even December yet, but I have some more Christmas nails to show you, so that is why I already start with it now ;)

Thanks for reading.

Snowy owl at dusk

Hi Everyone :)

Let's start by saying a really miss my camera :( Hope to have a good new one for nail pics soon.

A few weeks ago I got an email from Nail Polish Canada, they invited me to enter their 3 weeks holiday themed challenge. I always love taking part in a challenge or contest...love that kind of fun and distraction (this upcoming month even more you'll know why :( ). I also felt really honored that they invited me :) especially when I saw all the names of the amazing bloggers that also take part :) But I really love to join. This first week the theme is SNOW, so that means anything snow related.

I really love stamping and also like to combine that with some self made decals, so I decided to make Snowy owl at dusk nails :) Too bad the camera made the black a bit blue.

A white, grey, black tip gradient with P2 Ship Ahoi! 010 Pure white, Catrice C01 Pebble Beach and P2 Eternal. And Catrice C08 Have an icy day on top for the holo glitter. Stamped the big snow flakes /ice crystals with XL plate O (it's a dupe from XL plate K) the small snowflakes are from HB 23. Stamped with Konad SN white and SN black The Snowy owls on the branches are self made water decals.

Here a pic made with my boyfriends phone.
It is moreblue with that camera.

Another one from my hand (with the camera that was from my mom).

Also some pictures of the gradient tips with holo glitter topcoat.

A bit blurry so you can see the glitter.

You can still enter this challenge. And if you want to do that or see all the beautiful SNOW entries click HERE. You can also vote for your favorite entry there until November 28 :)

I am curious what the theme for next week will be :)

Thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend!

Orange snowflakes for the World Cup speed ice skating

Hi Everyone,

Saturday I went to the World Cup speed ice skating in the Thialf stadion. And of course I wanted to support our country. So that means doing something orange...since orange is our national color. And red white and blue are the colors of the flag. So I chose do make orange snowflakes/ ice crystals on my nails.

In the back ground you see the stadion. Base is a white from a LE from Essence and on top Orly Gogo (white with fine silver glitter). Stamped with one of Konad's newer stamping polishes SN orange pearl (pretty orange with lots of shimmer and part of the full nail image of BM323. I did not want it to fill my entire nail, because that was too orange ;) Added some red, white and blue dots on my ring finger.

You can really see the shimmer in the stamping polish.

Sunday's challenge on AIS was an aspect of matte so I made them matte with my Essie matte about you topcoat.
I am not a big matte fan, but I kinda liked this matte :)

Also some picture of our fun day at the World Cup speed ice skating.

 Warming up.

The 6 of us :) before it started. My dad, my best friend, another good friend, my sis, me and my boyfriend.

Go to the start....ready...go.

Making the ice smooth.

Family and friends in their orange outfits, the purple scarf and hats we got for free from the sponsor.

Me and my sis, with my funny hat that says "Zet 'm op" that means "Go for it/ Do your best" or something like that :)

Go Holland ;)

All 6 of us together, picture taken by the sponsors photographer for their facebook page, so we had to put the purple scrafs and hats on.

 Dave and I <3

The team pursuit...that the Dutch men won :)

We had a fun day there.
