I got some awards :)

Hello Everyone,

This blogpost is about some awards I got. I always feel sooo honored when I get one. I always find it hard to nominate other bloggers…it’s hard to choose there are so many great bloggers. Of course I have some favorite bloggers but they often already got it. I always do my best to give it to people who haven’t got it or to bloggers who haven’t been blogging for a long time.

The first one is from the lovely Lillibit. It is Spanish but she has told me the meaning. You should totally check out her blog, even though she writes in Spanish we all speak “nail language” right ;)

5 strange thing about me:

Hmm where do I start I am just a strange person..lol.

• Before I stopped biting my nails I still sucked on my thumb when I was tired or stressed it calmed me. Now that I have long nails it just doesn’t fit anymore and feels weird.
• I always match the color of my clothes to my nail polish. So If I have red polish on my nails I wear red t-shirts, if I have pink on my nails I wear pink ones etc. 
• I also like to match my flower happy earrings with my clothes and polish.
• I have an exteme fear of failure (that is why I am jobless) A lot of people find this strange because they say I am always so spontaneous and talk easy, and I gave presentations to big groups of people before. So they don’t get it.
• When I go to truck events with my BF I always like to watch the special paint trucks. Then I see a lot of nail art /decal inspiration. Often walking somewhere seeing stuff or car colors I say that would be great on my nails, or I’d love to make something like that on my nails.

The second is from Lacquer or Leave Her! and is called 'Por Tu Naturalidad' translates to 'for being natural and putting enjoyment before competitiveness.' I sooo love this award and it means a lot to me. Of course I enter contests and challenges but I don’t care if I win or not (winning is great don’t get me wrong but not the most important) I love the joy of making something and sharing. And as many of you know I need that distraction because I still miss mom. And found it difficult to deal with her death. I could totally been thinking of a creation for days for a contest or challenge sometimes I draw it on paper too. Love being busy with my nails.

What makes me hooked on following a blog:
Well I don’t really know, I follow all kinds of nail blogs but love the ones where people stamp too the most. I love looking at freehand designs too, but I could never do something like that. So stamping blogs inspire me more ;) Also really like it if they share other stuff and tell a story not just a pic with no words. It is nice to get to know people a little more through their blog. I also love blogs that show new nail polishes or stamping plates before they are released. Love to drool on them ;) And yes I also love pet pictures :)


The third one I got from http://purrrpolish.blogspot.nl/ The versatile blogger award. I believe I already got this once and told 7 things about me before. So I won’t do it again. But I still wanted to mention it, because I feel honored.

Purple holo with nail art

Today an older simple creation for you all :) I made these nails in August 2011 during my blogging break. I've made them for a festival week that was in the village I live in. It's every year at the end of August when the heather is blossoming and it's called Heideweek (Heather week).

I used Teeez Outta Contral as a base and stamped some plants that looked like heather on them with XL plate F and SN violet pearl.

Ofcourse I like to make matching toes in the Summer :)

I also wanted to mention that I got the Versatile Blogger Award from the lovely Emily from Macabre Manicures I believe I already got this award and told 7 things about myself. So I'm not going to pass it again. But I did wanted mention it because every time someone gives me an award I feel so honered ♥ Almost all the blogs I follow already got this award. Tag: What's in your purse/bag?

A couple of weeks ago the lovely and funny Miki from ♥ OneChicBella ♥ tagged me. This tag is to show you what is in your purse/bag.

For this tag it's okay to do a video or make photos of your purse/bag, no cheating ;) I don't know if there are any more rules some blogs have a few questions with this tag but I did not get those. I think the rules are like the most tags/awards, thank the person who gave it to you, write a blog post about what is in your purse/bag and give this tag the other bloggers (don't know how many it varies on blogs but I say 10  ;))

I took some photos of my bag it isn't that interesting.

I have a brown leather bag it is not very big, I got it from my mom and dad a couple of years ago for my birthday. They bought it on Lanzarote (one of the Canarian Islands) It's a spanish brand I think called...... The zipper is broken and can't close anymore but I don't want a new bag, I'm attached to this one ;)

My hands are not that big so you can see the size of my bag it think it's about 25 cm.

My bag goes everywhere with me so it's a bit discolored as you can see in the midde it's darker.

Look at my cute Monchichi monkey that hangs at my bag ♥

Inside my bag: my manly wallet, my old phone (with Hello Kitty sock) and my keys. Normally my camera is inside too but I needed that one for the photos ;)

Inside my wallet my cuteeeee debit card (is that the correct word?) with my rabbit Nero on it (he died a couple of years ago and now I carry him with me all the time. I just had to share this photo with you :)

Some chewing gum and old make up and lip care products.

Some pens, a hairbrush, a lighter (I don't smoke but you never know when you might need some fire ;)) batteries (normally I have a mp3 player inside too but it wasn't there so it's probably at my mom and dads place) and a cute Hello Kitty jar with some LUSH Lemony Flutter.

Also a coin that you can put in the shopping carts instead of a real money coin.

And the final stuff: my girly pocket knife (it's pink and it's for girls, because next to a knife and scissors it also has a nailfile, nail clippers, toothpick and tweezers), some paracetamol, an extra SD memory card for my camera, a glass nailfile from Herome, some teeth floss and the key to my boyfriends place :)

Don't know where all the other stuff like tampons and sanitary stuff were I did not cheat normally they are in there ;) guess I must have used them and forget to put them in my bag again ;)

Awards, awards and more awards :)

I'm sorry for not blogging for a week :( My own laptop died almost a year ago, since then I used my boyfriends laptop. But that one crashed after some necessary updates from Windows Vista. I lost all my pictures since April 2011. And all my decals from August 2010 :( My dad and I wil try to get some files back hope it will work.

Anyway in the last couple of weeks I received some great awards ♥ I always feel soooo honored.

1. Favorite color: That is really difficult because I don't really have a favorite color I really like all colors, but if I have to choose I think blue.
2. Favorite animal: I really suck in questions like these, I also love all kinds of animals, but I think I have to say Hamster and Rats because I have those 2 as pets ;) I also really have a thing for dolphins.

4. What perfume am I using right now? Escada Taj Sunset, I have a lot of perfumes also more from Escada but this one I got from my boyfriend last week for my birthday.
5. Something you always wear with you and identifies you: My silver Greek necklace with the Meandros sign that I got almost 10 years ago from my mom and dad. I love silver and Greece and almost never wear any other necklace.
6. What’s your passion? My passion???? Uhmm nails and nail art ;)
7. Getting or giving presents? I'm really weird with that, I do like to get presents but sometimes also feel kind of embarressed or something so I have to say giving. Love to give things even if they are small.
8. What was the last eyeshadow you used? My 4 colored older brown palette from Catrice and my 88 color palette.
9. Favorite day of the week:  Saturday, I love hanging out with my boyfriend and doing something fun.
10. Are your nails painted right now? Yes they are almost never without nail polish (only if I just removed it) I'm wearing P2 Into Lace LE 010 Sensuality right now.

2. China Glaze Octa Gone Wild: the best purple holographic polish ;)
3. Garnier Pure Skin Shine Control Moisturizer: my day cream since my teen years and I still like it.
4. P2 nail polish remover: the old green one with that nice Thai green coconut smell.
5. Catrice 4 colored eyeshadow palette: before they renewed their assortment they had a pretty brown set.
6. Max Factor cream puff powder: also my powder since my teen years ;)
7. Greek hand creams: no particular brand but I love the Greek hand creams with Mastic or Olives in it. Most of them are made locally on the Greek Islands.
8. Garnier Nutrisse creme no 40: my hair dye. It is just a little bit darker and more red then my natrural hair color. So you hardly see any outgrowth.
9. P2 Diamond Shine 3 in 1: a nice base coat and also a topcoat and it is even also a nail hardner (but that I don't really need)
10. My 88 shimmer palette: don't know if it has a brand but I love colors, and this one is really pigmented.

China Glaze Monte Carlo with nail art

This was one of my first China Glaze polishes but I never used it (I did marbled with it sometimes). It is a beautiful pink polish. I did some quick nail art on it after a "killed" Keroppi :(

Base China Glaze Monte Carlo, stamped with Konad SN pink pearl and imageplate M69. White flowers stamped with SN white and imageplate M7. In the white flowers some SN pastel pink dots made with a dotting tool.

Here some swatches, it looks like I still have a visable nail line on these photo's.....that wasn't showing in real life. But I guess I could have used a third coat ;)

Green and Glitter nails + Liebster Blog award

Ever since I bought the glitter Essence Twin duo 06 Edward I was thinking that it would look great over China Glaze Four Leaf Clover (that looks a bit like Essence Bella that belongs with Edward). So last week I decided to try that out.

Base China Glaze Refresh-mint and a french of China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. On top of the french Essence Twins duo 06 Edward. I stamped with China Glaze Four Leaf Clover and Konad imageplate M57. On my ring finger Istamped a flower from M31 also with China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, in the middle a silver rhinestone.

My camera had a bit of trouble to take a photo of the true color of Four Leaf Clover. The french and stamps really looked the same color in real life ;)

I received the Liebster Blog again, I know I already got it but I feel so honored so I would love to mention it again. And I thought I is also a great opportunity to give it away to 3 other bloggers too, because there are a lot of lovely blog out there who deserve more attention ;)

Part of my stash + another award ♥

I asked my dad a couple of times if he can make me a nail polish wall display. But he had other things on his mind. Two weeks ago I had Konad Easter Workshop at my place and I really wanted that display before that. Because my glass case was really full and I had no idea where to leave the rest of my polishes. So it was a race against time, but my dad finally made me this wonderfull display. At first I had to pay only for the materials but now it is an early birthday present which is next month.

This is how it look like filled with all different kinds of bottles...there are more then 250 bottles of nail polish in it :) I still have some other polishes and sets in my glass case, along with (special) topcoats and nail art stuff.

Here it is empty hanging in my own nail/workshop room at my boyfriend's place.

The top rows are filled with my bottles of China Glaze.

The rest of my stash a plastic dresser with stuff such as remover, table towels, cotton pads, my extry stamps and scrapers for when I have a workshop etc. On top my Konad suitcase and a box filled with some topcoats and spare polishes. My glass case with my boxes of stamping polish on top, other polishes and sets, nail art and more stuff.

The glass case in the back is filled with stuff I still have for sale. So people can buy some goodies when then come to my place for a workshop.

I'm really happy with the wall display my dad made for me, thank you daddy ♥

Oh wow 10 things about myself...lets see:

1. I have two places I call home ;) I officially live with my parents, but most of the time I live with my boyfriend especially during the week, in the weekend we are mostly at my parents place because I like that city better ;) It's about 25 minutes car drive between both homes.

2. I don't have my driving license, I don't think I will ever get that. Im affraid of driving (not be a passenger but driving myself) I grew up without a car (my parents didn't and still don't have a car) and I'm used to travel with public transport (especially before I met my boyfriend who is a driver).

3. I was born on the day the summer starts (June 21) That means it is the longest day with the most daylight hours.

4. I have freckles which I really don't like, when I was little I really hated them, but now I've "accepted" them as part of me being a summer child.

5. My hamster is more then 2 years old (they live to be 2-3 years old) and everyday I get up and check if he's still alive (he is still very active though but I'm just affraid of losing him so I check it ;))

His name is Bowser isn't he cute?

6. I still sometimes find it hard to imagine that I stopped biting my nails and now have long natural nails.

7. I don't have one favourite color, I always match some black clothes with something colorfull and ofcourse my clothes have to match my nails ;)

8. I love my boyfriend Dave for many reasons, one of them is that he loves shopping. Most of the time we shop clothes for him :) He also drives to Germany regularly to shop there, and he drives me and my nail friends there so we can go nail shopping. He doesn't mind that at all and sometimes even helpes us looking and choosing ;)

9. I love to drink fruit drinks, next to that my favourite soft drink is 7-up or cassis (when I go out I drink that or very occasionally a beer)

10. I love nail polish (that is totally new info right ;)) and all my lovely followers, thank you so much for following my blog ♥

Blogger award and Color Club - Pucci-licious + Essence Black and White topcoat + nailart

Sorry for not blogging for a week. My next blog will be about making your own water decals, but for today I have some swatches of Color Club Pucci-licious.

These are 2 coats without topcoat. I really love this color but don't really like the plastic finish. Photo with flash.

Saturday I went shopping in Germany and I bought the Essence Black and White topcoat. It's called Make me holo, but there is nothing holo about it. I already knew that because I've seen the swatches on Parokeets but I still liked it. It's a blue shimmer topcoat and I did it on top of Color Club Pucci-licious.

I'm personally not a huge fan of crème polishes, so I made Pucci-licious more my taste with the Essence topcoat :)

I really love the blue shimmer on that purple color.

Ofcourse I wanted to do some nailart on it, but that didn't turned out the way I wanted. I bought some nice metallic water decals on Ebay but one sheet was wrong and the decals turned into a dusty glittery kind of thing when I made the back of the paper wet. So I was planning to do a decal on each finger but that wasn't possible anymore. I totally messed it everything up but I took a picture before doing that (only my thumb was really bad at this moment but that doesn't show in the picture).

I stamped with Konad SN pastel blue and M15 and on my ringfinger a metallic decal (one that did work).

1. I stopped biting my nails more then 3,5 years ago.

(cute hamster huh ;) but this is what my nails look liked a couple of years ago, hard to imagine. Also very difficult to find a picture from my nails then)

2. A lot of people think I have fake nails and it makes me proud to say they're all natural :)

3. I have about 375 bottles of nails polish (topcoats not included)

4. I have one older sister she is 3 years older then me, also bites nails :( so I can't share my addiction with her.

5. I love going on vacation especially to Greece.

6. I really love animals (have one hamster and 2 rats) so my favorite tv channel is Animal Planet.

7. I have a boyfriend his name is Dave and I love him very much.

I always find it hard to give it to 15 new bloggers because the new bloggers I follow already received it or aren't new and have received this award for like a million times ;)
