Neon Sunset Summer nails :)

Hi Everyone,

I made this last week and I am soooo happy with them. I love these kind of nails. So when I saw the new plates from Nailways I just had to have them. I love scenery /landscape nails and I just love Summer time.

Also I am sick again :( I am really sick of being sick, my snotty cold was finally away for a week. But now it's back really bad, hopefully it will go away soon. I was in the hospital Monday for something else and later that day I felt really bad, snotty, sneezing, glowing red cheeks :( Maybe I got something from the hospital, anyway I hope it will be gone soon.

I still have this on my nails today, cause I was sooo happy with them :)

Base China Glaze Snow, sponged with CG Towel Boy Toy, CG Splish Splash, CG Sun Kissed, CG Orange you Hot?, CG Love's a Beach and Color Club Puccilicious. A Spectraflair topcoat. Stamped with Konad SN black and the new images plates from Nailways: A-NW00010 Vive La Vie - Beach Baby, A-NW00011 Vive La Vie - On the Water and A-NW00012 Vive La Vie - Vacation (for the little plane on my thumb) The waves are stamped with Sally Hansen Blue it and also from those plates. Also colored the light from the lighthouse with Snow and Sun Kissed.

Another picture (this is actually the first a took the rest I took a few days later)

The sort of gradient sunset base.

Another picture without flash.

A picture of both my hands, my friend Judith made this of my nails when I was at her place to show some of her friends :)

And playing with a little UV light, I love it how bright neons look with UV light :)

I was sooo happy with this mani, these kind of nails are so my thing (not all the time cause I do like simple nails too but I just love making these every now and then) And in the hospital I got lost of compliments that was soo fun cause I hardly get any compliments in real life :)

I also got the Sunshine award from the lovely Mishka (Michelle) from Lacquer or Leave Her! I always feel soooo honored to receive an award, I already got this a while ago so not gonna do everything again (part of me wants too, the other part just feels too sick :( ) But I did want to mention her and her awesome blog, so you should all check it out if you haven't already.

Thanks for reading

Dolphin Sunset nails

Hi everyone who reads this :)

The weather here in Holland is finally really like Summer and I loveeeee warm sunny weather. So I just had to make summer nails (again). And love how they turned out. I was inspired by a wooden painted dolphin statue, you can see it on the pictures below.

Everything is stamped even the little islands ;) only the blue/white waves aren't stamped.

A white P2 base, sponged with China Glaze Towel Boy Toy, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise, OPI I Need Sunglasses, Essence 01 BBC Pink Heat, OPI Purple with a Purpose and China Glaze Beach Cruise-R. Added China Glaze Wireless Holographic topcoat on top. Stamped with HB46 (parts of shells for the islands),  BM315, BM320, H10, H18, M29 and S2. The white/blue waves are made with a small brush.

I love making summer nails especially sunset summer nails on the beach with palm trees :) I also plan on entering these nails in the summer contest of Nails and Stuff.
I make something like this every year you may remember these from 2010 Romantic Sunset and 2011 Romantic Night at the Beach..
but with those 2 I also used selfmade water decals..this year it is a all stamping mani :)

 Different light.

Without flash under artificial light.

Here you can see my inspiration :)

Also made matching toes again, stamped with BM315, M29 and GCOCL A02.

Again my hand with my inspiration in the background :)

Enjoy the weekend! I know I will with this lovely sunny hot weather :)

We also are going to celebrate my dads birthday...first one without my mom :( Last year even though she was really sick she/we organized a surprise party for him because he turned 60. She also said I wanna celebrate it because it might be our last B-day together :( I soo miss her and know my Dad misses her too.

Thank for reading I am really happy with the way my nails turned out. Just by looking at them it makes me smile and I imagine I am at this beautiful beach.

Sunset Sailing with some Seagulls :)

Hey hey,

I made these a few months ago at the end of May and just haven't posted them yet...no reason why. But here they are and it is still Summer (when I made these it wasn't Summer but we had Summer weather for a few days). This was actually my second sponged neon gradient (with all the colors at a sponge at once).

Base a gradient of China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, China Glaze Sunworshiper and Impala Tech sponged over a white base. Added China Glaze Wireless Holographic topcoat on top. Stamped with Konad SN black and imageplates H18 and H20.

Here some more pictures made with differnet light.

My kinda matching toes :) with the same base but another stamp :)
Stamped with Konad SN black and M29.

Also some swatches of the gradient.

In different lighting.

Neon Under the Sea Summer nails :)

Hello everyone,

I sooo love making Summer nails, so today another summer mani ;) I also made these for the OC contest, I just can't resist a summer theme ;) It's so much fun. I am not that good in coloring between the lines, but I am happy with the result.

My left hand.
Base is Beauty UK Midnight Minx - black. Stamped with Konad SN black and SN white. Imageplates M21, M24, M27, M29, M33, M34, M35 and M82. Then I colored over the white stamps with different sheer neon stripers from Flormar and SoEasy and polishes. Like I said it not all very neat but I still like it :)

This was my inspiration: a 2 meters wide velvet fan with neon sea life painted on it. It hangs in our bedroom, so I always see it when I go to sleep and wake up :)

This is how I entered the OC contest, everything together in a picture.

Right hand (even less neater :P).

 Hands and feet.

Hand and foot.

Here a swatch of this nice black polish. It really applied great and was in 2 coats opaque.

Still hoping for nice warm sunny weather....next week will be better, sooo they say ;)

Thanks for sending the sun to me last weekend, we kept it dry and also saw the sun. But it did rain a lot before so the beach was flooded, but I danced on bare feet in the puddles :)

Have a nice week.

Summer Neon Gradient: Turn Up The Beach

Hello everyone,

Today I have a summer neon gradient to show you :) Still have more of them from a few weeks ago, but these I made this week. I am going to a dance festival on the beach today that is called Turn Up the Beach. Not really my kind of music, but I think it would be fun anyway with my friends. Although the weather forecast is really really bad, with lots of rain and only 17 degrees Celsius (that is like 63 degree Fahrenheit). I first had a different ring finger (that was my entry for the OC contest) but later changed it with a decal for the Turn Up The Beach festival :)

I did this neon gradient base a while ago with a blue cow print on it, that was the first time I tried sponging with all the colors on one sponge at the same time. Back then I already knew I was gonna do it again for this festival but with palm trees on it :)

Base P2 Ship Ahoi! 010 Pure White. Sponged with all 6 colors of the China Glaze Poolside collection. And added China Glaze Wireless Holographic on top. Stamped with Konad SN black and imageplate S2. And a self made water decal on my ring finger of the logo from the festival.

Here you can see how it first look liked :)
 Left hand.

 Right hand.

 Hands and feet :)

Everything together, this is how I send it in for the OC Summer is Here nail art contest on their FB page.

Last month was my B-day and for my B-day I hosted a contest on Adventures in Stamping Group on facebook... I love that group. The theme for that contest was Fun in the Sun. A lot of my followers are a member there so you all now this ;) But if you're not you can see all the lovely entries there if you join this group. Below you can see the photo I made as an album cover for all the entries. A collage of some of mine summer themed creations I made over the years.

Have a nice weekend everyone, and please sent some sun to this small cold rainy country ;)

Happy Birthday to me: Dutch Island Texel nails

Hey Everyone,

Today is my birthday :) And the day the Summer officially starts here in Holland. Normally I make some sort of tropical summer nails on my birthday, but I had no time for something like that this year. So that is why I want to show you some typical Holland beach scenery/landscape nails I made in November 2011. I went to one of our Dutch Wadden Islands called Texel. It was really cold and windy there (almost winter) but also very pretty and we had fun. I do plan on making something like this today on my nails for one of the other islands..Terschelling.

It still is Soccer/Football month here, even when Holland isn't in the game anymore ;) I still have some older World Cup creations to show you. And a lot of other countries are still playing so you can always get inspired to make something in different colors for your own country :) But since today is my B-day I wanted to show you something else ;)

Base China Glaze Kaleidoscope: It's my turn, Let's do it in 3D and Kaleidoscope Him Out (on some a littel bit of He's going in Circles)  Selfmade water decals of different things you see on the island a beach pole, seals, the lighthouse of Texel, seagulls, a seal and the word Texel. Stampes some feet with HB26 and SN brown, brids in the sky H18 and SN black, clouds M79 and SN white and some grass of M66 and M29 SN green. I colored the seagulls with a Essence nail art pen.

Different light.

 With flash.

On Texel with the actual beach pole in the background.

Here a picture of just the holographic sort of gradient base.
The blue sky, the gray/blue sea, and the golden sand :)

Here some other funny pictures of that short holiday in cold November/December 2011.

My sisters dog Yoshi, my big sister and me on the boat to Texel.

Me at the large and windy beach with the beach pole ;) You can see sand waves of the wind ;)

Yoshi is playing in the sand :)

At Ecomare the seal rescue/care center.

Look at those cute big eyes...soo sweet.

Feeding the seals and the seagulls are trying to steal the fishes.

Walking to the lighthouse to climb it.

View from the top of the lighthouse.

 The lighthouse.

My boyfriend is lifting the lighthouse..LOL.

I look ridiculous (like a penguin) but it was sooo cold, and my hair flew away ;)  I had fun walking in the foam on the beach. And Yoshi the dog loved to chase the flying foam

It almost started to rain.

Sometimes having long hair is annoying :P hahaha.

In the harbour with sunset, a seagull just flew away.

It was a lovely trip even though it was cold and rainy, we had fun :)

Hope you liked reading this blog post, it will also give my foreign readers an idea of our country :)

Can't wait to go on my next short trip to one of the other Dutch Wadden islands soon, since it is Summer the weather should be nicer, but I am affraid it is also going to rain....well that is Holland ;)

I was really happy with these nails. They are probably one of my favourites ever, so that is why I wanted to show them to you on my birthday :)
