What a girl wants...

Hi Everyone,

Today a colorful mani with all kinds of stuff a girl wants or likes ;) Or so people say :) Cosmetica, perfume, nail polish, fashion/shoes, jewelry/diamonds, love and sweets (macarons). Born Pretty Store is having a contest on their blog and the rules were to use specific products of them that were listed. It is a pretty long list so enough options to choose from. One of these products were these water decals. So I made a mani with them. The decals have so many pastel colors so I wanted to do a base with those colors too. And some holo glitter and stamping. I always love to combine things in this case: painting, stamping, glitter, sponging and using water decals.

Base China Glaze Lemon Fizz. Stamped a full nail with M57 and Konad SN white. And sponged colorful tips over that. I made a sideways sort of gradient using Konad SN pastel green, a self made pastel orange mix, SN pastel blue, SN pastel violet, SN pastel pink. Added a layer of Catrice Million Styles C08 Have an Icy Day (a holo glitter topcoat) And used the Born Pretty Store water decals with all the girly stuff.

And some more pictures of this mani in different light. It was hard to capture all the colors and the glitter and stamping.

All these colors remind me of Spring and also Easter but then instead of the girly stuff it had to be Easter eggs ;) I do love all these girly things but never ate a macaron in my life...do want too try them they always look yummy :)

Holo, dots and flowers from 2011

Hi everyone,

Today I'll show you something I've made in 2011 during my blogging break.

Something really strange is going on, I can't add pictures to my post. The section where you can normally browse and select a picture from your computer is gone, I do see it sometimes but before I can click it's gone again. So luckily I had these pictures already online somewhere so I added them that way.

Does anyone else has this problem?

Base Catherine Arley 802 a pretty holo. Stamped with XL plate B and Konad SN white. And some flower decals (these are not self made).

Also a picture of just the stamping.

Of course also some swatches, I really like Catherine Arley holo polishes.

Christmas 2011: Nostaligic Christmas

Hello Everyone,

 

Are you already getting tired of all my Christmas posts? I hope not :)

 

Today something I made last year in my blogging break before Christmas. I called them Nostalgic  nails, because of the decals....they really look old. I bought these decals, did not made those myself. Later I really found it strange/weird that I made Nostalgic Christmas nails...because my mom died 2nd Christmas day and those Christmases we used to have as a family would never be like that again and already feel a bit nostalgic.

 

Base OPI Sheer your Toys (pretty grey with really tiny red glitter) water decals (not self made) and stamped with XL plate B and China Glaze 2030.

My Halloween nails from 2011

Hi Everyone,

 

Today I'll show you my Halloween nails from last year. As you know I had a blogging break back then, because of my mom. But I never stopped doing my nails :) I already showed some Fall nails from last year and I also have a lot of Christmas nails from last year ;) But since it is almost Halloween and I am going to a Halloween party saturday, I thought I'll show my Halloween nails from 2011 today. They weren't very special, did not had much time but just wanted to do something that was Halloween themed.

 

Base Catherine Arley 805 a gorgeous black/dark grey holo. Stamped 3/4 of a full nail spiderwebs on it with China Glaze OMG and imageplate HB28. And added some waterdecals of skulls (NOT self made) I got those from ebay.

Flowery Fall nails on Catherine Arley 806

Hello Hello,

 

Well it is October so that means it's Fall/ Autumn. I don't like this season, but do like the colors of the leaves changing. I just don't like the rainy dark days in Fall it's depressing but I think the next months I feel the same because of everything that happend last year :( I made these nails in November 2011. The colors reminded me of Fall.

 

Base Catherine Arley 806. Full nail stamped with Konad SN brown and imageplate M72. Water decals NOT self made.

Angels in the sky

Hi everyone,

These nails I also made a few weeks ago, for the challenge "The Sky is the Limit" on the Adventures in Stamping Facebook group. I made these the day after Motherday, and I was still a bad sad so I was like maybe my mommy is an angel too. And the angels are holding animals, so our cat we lost that weekend (and the other pets and persons) are also angels :)

Base is from The Face Shop BL603 a gorgeous bright light blue with white/silver shimmer. Water decals from angels with pets (not self made) Stamped the clouds with Konad M79 and SN white.

Starry Kitty nails

Hi everyone,

I made these nails a few weeks ago for the stamping challenge to make something with a plate ending in a 5. It was also mothersday that day and we just lost our pet cat before the weekend, so I wanted to make something that would combine it all ;)

So I used a water decal of a cute lady cat, because she was a real lady and her name was little lady in Dutch :) And stamped stars because I said all our loved pets/persons are stars now and watching over us. So also my mom who I missed even more on mothersday :(

 Base is Zoya Gilda over Essence Flashy Pink from the Show your feet collection. A water decal (not self made) from a white cat. And stamped some sort of stars from Konad M5 with SN white.

I wanted to make swatch photos but it was soo hard with this polish ;) It often made it to pink or with blue in it and looked like it was still sheer (but that Essence underneath covers really good). But here some pics that will give you any idea. And is shows also the sparkle.

It's a bit blury but you see the sparkle in it ;)

Love nails

I had this on my nails on Valentine's Day. Made it really quick and easy because I'm not feeling well have a cold and I'm really snotty :P

Base Essence Can't cheat on me (a bit holographic silver) with a french from Teeez Smooth 01 (holo pink) and some decals (not self made).

I did this a few weeks ago, just something quick ;)

Base Essence LE Nails in Style - Style me Love 03 stamped with H21 and SN white and some flower fabric decals (not selfmade)

It only needed one thick coat but I used 2 thinner ones.

China Glaze Kaleidoscope How About a Tumble swatches + nail art

I made this more than a month ago, when I got back from my short holiday to Centerparc. I needed to do something fast, and what dries faster then Kaleidoscope polish ;) Just added a simple full nail stamp anddecals. These decals I bought I did not made them my self ;) Although I lost all my photos since April 2011 I still had these photo's on my Dutch page called Hyves (something as facebook) so I was really glad.

Butterflies in the sky (P2 530 Charming)

This creation I made this weekend. I had it in my head the day I got these decals from one of my nail friends (thank you Syl). I did not really found this creation beautiful but I found it funny :) and it reminded my of wallpaper from a children's room. (that is what my mom and I said) I did found it very happy :)

I was in a supermarket in Germany and an older lady was handing out chocolates for the customers and I grabbed one and she noticed my nails. And wanted to see them and she was talking too fast so I couldn't understand everything but she really liked them. All I could say was Danke Danke Danke with my blushing head ;)

It could also be something for Easter with the clouds (look like dots from a distance).

Base P2 530 Charming, beautiful blue polish that reminds me a bit of Orly Snowcone, stamped with Konad SN white and imageplate M77. Water decals of some great colorfull butterflies, I got them from a friend (not self made). Photo with flash.
