The Great Polish Giveaway of 2014

Hi Everyone,

Nail Polish Canada is hosting The Great Polish Giveaway of 2014 They've partnered with Cirque Colors, NCLA & Picture Polish to host the biggest giveaway ever.  One winner will take home up to 200 nail polish from over 10 different brands! The prize starts at zero, then bloggers can each pick a favourite shade to be added to the prize.  You can enter on their website. And you can also enter once on each blog that adds a shade to the prize.

The prize is currently 186 shades.

I chose to add Nfu Oh 63

I love holo polishes and Nfu Oh 63 was one of my first holographic polishes. I also really love these bottles. Ofcourse I have some swatches for you of this beautiful polish. The holo rainbow effect is really strong especially in the sun or under artificial light.

Also my mani with nail art I posted these before a few years ago but here it is again. Done with stamping and the flowers are selfmade water decals.

Like I said you can enter on their website but for more entries you can also enter here. I don't have twitter so this is the twitter account from Nail Polish Canada. But like me on facebook for an extra entry. And make sure to check out all the polishes and enter on other blogs too.

a Rafflecopter giveaway
I am not really sure if this is only for US/Canadian residents or for US/Canadian addresses. The last option would mean that if an international person will win they have to provide an US/Canadian address, but most of us nail addicts have friends world wide so that shouldn't be a problem. I asked NPC so if I know the exact anwser I'll let you know.

EDIT: it is only for US/Canadian residents so sorry for everyone who doesn't live in the US or Canada

Have a nice weekend and good luck!

Terschelling, World Cup and Oerol festival

Hi Everyone,

As many of you know I love going to Terschelling, one of the Dutch Wadden Island. I love the nature and feeling there, it always feels like home when I am there. We used to go there when we were little too. Every in June there is the Oerol festival there, this means music, theater, plays etc. There are sooo many people on the island and and it is always fun. This year we are also there and just like other years I wanted to do a Terschelling scenery but the World Cup is also now and I also always love to do something for that too....so I combined those things...

Terschelling is turning orange for the World Cup during the Oerol festival...with soccer balls all over the island and a beautiful orange sunset sky ;)

Holo base using many holo's from Golden Rose Paris, DA, Catherine Arley, Nail Nation. Self made water decals of the seagull on the pole, the seals, seagull, the lighthouse Brandaris, the flag from Terschelling, the Oerol logo, the boat. Painted the back white on some decals to make them pop. And stamped the soccer balls from Moyou Tourist 14 and Konad M49 first in white then colored them and stamped over the in black, stamped the green grass from Konad M66 and M29, and the flying seagulls are from Stampaholis ST01. Using Konad SN black, green and white.

Another picture with different light.

Also did a pedi ofcourse. Base Impala Tech with Hits Demeter (both Brazilian brands so hopefully they will bring us luck in Brazil ;)) The soccer balls from Konad M49 and self made water decals from the Terschelling flag and Oerol logo.

And my hand with my toes together. A bumped my toe while it was still wet so the ball is not round anymore haha, tried to fix it.

I usually also post some pictures of our vacation there. But I will do that in another post since I planned this post, and I haven't been on the computer since my vacation so those pictures aren't on the computer yet.

Thanks for reading.

Hi everyone,

I have been soooo busy (still am) I haven't stamped my nails in 10 days and my polish is all chipped....horrible :( Busy painting the attic, laying the floor, moving etc. Also have to lay the floor at my sis her new apartment this week too. So still so busy.

So today just a quick post with a mani made in August 2013. It was a tribute to my favorite nail group...World of Nailcraft (WON).

Base China Glaze FYI sponged sort of gradient tips with A England Tristam. Stamped  yellow stars with Konad SN yellow and Winstonia W110.  And a selfmade water decal of the logo.

Thanks for reading, I promise I'll blog more often soon. Or at least post older not posted mani's from the past years and not keep you waiting more then a week ;)

I see a ghost :)

Hi Everyone,

Today another Halloweenish mani, the challenge today in AIS was to stamp over a black base. So that was something I liked to do. And I was just testing out some selfmade water decals that were big....not much a success since I could not get the decal flat on my nails. That is often that way with big self made decals cause a decal is flat and my nails are very curvy...it's like wrapping a ball with paper haha. That is why I usually not make my decals bigger then 1cm. My ghost now has a wrinkle on his head but it kinda makes it extra spooky ;)

Black sponged base, added a self made water decal of a ghost on my ring finger (first sponged with white underneath it). Sponged over the edges with black again to cover the excess white. Stamped with BM301 (the sort of saran wrap stamp) first stamped it with Konad SN white then again over it with Konad SN black.

Another pic with different light.

Have a nice Sunday!

Thanks for reading.

Rock and Roll street on Terschelling

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for not blogging for soo long. I've been busy and haven't been home much. In the weekend of September 6th we went to Terschelling (Dutch Wadden Islands) again. It's the most beautiful place of Holland (I think) and I love it there. I also really love Greece but if I have to stay in my own country I just love to go to Terschelling. My sister booked a holiday there and then we found out it was Rock and Roll street weekend that weekend so we wanted to go too. We rented a caravan (big mobile home that stays on one place) 2km from where my sister rented a little house for her and her doggy :) So it wasn't that long on the bike to visit eachother :) Of course I had to make Rock and Roll nails for this weekend :) I was inspired by this logo. As you know I also love sharing some of my personal life and the places I visit so this post contains lot's of pics of our short holiday on Terschelling during Rock and Roll street 2013.

Base a white polish from P2 with a shimmer sheer pearly white from P2 over that (sorry I am bit lazy don't want to look up names/numbers but have used both polishes more often so they are on my blog somewhere ;)) Stamped the red lines and sort of gradient with BM301 and Konad SN red. And with Konad SN black I stamped music things from Cheeky Jumbo 5 musical nails. Selfmade water decals of the Brandaris (the lighthouse from Terschelling) and the word Terschelling. Both came from the Rock and Roll street logo see link above ;).

Since it was still nice weather I had to make matching toes too :) Used the same plates for that.

Here a pic before I stamped the music stuff so only with the BM301 plate and my self made water decals

And some pics of our short holiday/long weekend there ;)
The first day it was very hot but we saw bad weather coming our way so instead of swimming we went for a bike trip and walking. But soon the thunder storms came and we had to bike home really fast, since my sis her rented house was 2km further she did not make it in time and got wet haha. Not it wasn't funny really but we both laughed about it. Dogs weren't allowed in our caravan so they could not shelter from the rain at our place.

Our first night out to Rock and Roll street, we tried to make our outfit's look like the 50's :) My dress, nails, jewelry matched our interior of the caravan haha.

My sister and Dave my boyfriend (who did not like it that I did his hair with a side parting to make it look like a 50's hairdo.

The town where to festicval was is called Midsland :)

In one of the bars. You had to buy a pin and they you could go in to 10 bars all with different bands playing.

At the end of the night when we came back to our bikes my sister her doggy basket was filled with empty beer bottles haha.

The next day it was my boyfriend his birthday so I decorated the caravan :)

After that we went to the the 50's market to watch all the old cars, motors and stuff.

So funny and they had guts to go on stage in those outfits ;)

We acting funny with our cotton candy haha.

Since we were afraid it might rain the next days we wanted to bike to West Terschelling (were my sis her home was) and go to the "green" beach.
West Terschelling with the harbour and and the lighthouse in the back.

I just had to feel the sea :) and act crazy :P

 Dave and I.
Yoshi and my sis.

And some pics of the 2nd Rock and Roll night out on Dave's Birthday :)

The band with a special guest performance from a Marilyn Monroe look a like :)

We do dance, not any good Rock and Roll but we try and have fun :)

 Poor Davy's back haha :P

My sis and I dancing haha.

The 3 of us with the band and the big green bass in the back :)

My sis and Dave dancing haha.

The last day of Rock and Roll street.

Very nice weather and lot's of people there for the lotery of the Solex Puch.

Also auctioning a golden Zippo with the logo on it.

 Very old :P

 Motors.

Dave and I :)

Biking to West to the harbour to see all the cars leave on the boat.

 The  lighthouse by night.

Our last full day, so went for a bike trip.

 Bad weather coming our way.

Lots of rain above sea and Vlieland (other island).
The rain reached us so we looked for shelter in a old bunker :)

With a nice view on a double rainbow.

You see the rain falling above see.

The harbour with the lighthouse in the back.

Yoshi on the Terschelling bench with the colors of the Terschelling flag :)

 Feeding the seagulls :)

Waving my sister goodbye, cause she stayed a bit longer.

 Bye bye Terschelling.

It was a lot colder but we wanted to sit outside and watch the sea :)

Thanks for watching/reading.
