Pon & Zi and friends :)

Hi Everyone,

I am still sick and it sucks :( it's been a while that I felt this bad. So fingers crossed I feel better soon. Haven't done my nails in a week but still have a lot of mani's to show ;) I've made these about 3 weeks ago before I broke my pinkie nails.

I just love Pon & Zi and my sister has them as stuffed animals, so I just had to make Pon and Zi nails sometime :)

Base a gradient with Essence Blossoms etc 03 My Fellow Yellow and H&M U must have this. And added Spectraflair topcoat on top. Stamped with Konad M36 and Kleancolor metallic aqua. Self made water decals of Pon & Zi and friends. From left to right you have: Scoot, Zi, Pon, Zot and Nubbly.

Hello Kitty with Cherries from 2010

Hi Everyone,

Today a short post. This is something I've made in 2010 but never posted on my blog (like many more mani's ;))

Base China Glaze White on White with a layer of Golden Rose magic 301. Self made water decals of Hello Kitty and her bunny friend with cherries on them :) Stamped with Konad PSN cool red and SN green using M48 for the little cherries and B02 for the big ones.

Spring nails with Woodstock ♥

Hello Hello,

The weather is finally feeling it more like Spring here in Holland. And the challenge in AIS today is Spring colors, so I decided to make Springy nails ;) My short middle nail on my "photo" hand is also almost the same length again :) So I made the rest a bit shorter too, know you can hardly see the difference.

The base is a subtle gradient from an older LE from Essence called Essence Blossoms etc ...02 I Like and 05 Forget-Me-Not. With Spectraflair topcoat on top. Stamped some Spring flowers with Konad M2 using SN white and SN yellow dots. Self made water decals of Woodstock ♥

The Lion King

Hi everyone,

In a FB nail group they were talking about the Lion King and that made me think of this mani :) I made in in Janaury 2010 but have never showed it on my blog before...don't know why...LOL But like I said several times I still have a lot of oldies to show you. I know I was really happy with these when I've made them, I love Disney :)

Base is OPI Sand in my suit stamped with Konad SN brown and SN gold brown and Konad imageplates M10, M42, M57 and M69. Selfmade water decals of the Lion King characters :)

Icy Butterflies :)

Hi everyone,

I made these for the AIS challenge. The theme was accent nail. I often do accent nails also with different colors or totally different. But this time I chose to do a subtle accent nail, all with the same colors and theme but just a little bit different then the rest of my nails.

When I did the base color on, I had actually something else in mind, but then I saw my decals and thought they would look good on this color too.

Base Hits Speciallità 205 Edição Limitada a pretty polish from Brazil. On top a layer of Essence @Holographic.com LE 04 Prismatic white. Stamped with Konad SN black pearl and XL plate O (that is a dupe from XL K). The butterflies are selfmade water decals.

Also some swatches.

Japanese Geisha Hello Kitty

Hello Everyone,

Today something I made in May 2010. My nails were really too long there, but I did really liked this design a lot.

Base Catrice C01 Pebble Beach (a matte gray polish) Stamped with Konad M66 and SN blackm SN red and SN white, made dots in the flower with a dotting tool. Self made water decals of Hello Kitty in a Geisha dress.

Here also a swatch of the base without topcoat.

Like I said looking back I did find my nails too long but I loved this design <3

Merry Christmas from Mickey and Disney friends ;)

Hi Everyone,

 

Let's start by wishing all my lovely readers a wonderful Christmas (Eve). Although I don't really feel up to it, we will have to make the best of it, but I do really miss my mom :(

I made these nails Friday, I am currently busy making new Christmas nails so I just removed these ;) But these were on my nails this weekend when I went Christmas shopping with my sister to Maastricht and Valkenburg (there you have Christmas markets in the marl caves that is always very pretty). My boyfriend had to work the whole weekend :( so he couldn't come so it was a sisters only day :) It was a really fun day but we were totally soaked from the rain :( I will also show some pictures of our trip and Danbo who went with us ;) Most of the time we spent in the train..since it is a 3 hours trip from the center of Holland to the south. But my sis and I always talk sooo much that the time flies by.

 

Base Essence 50's girls reloaded 01 Ahoy with Golden Rose Paris magic 301 for the golden shimmer over the white base. Stamped with BM301 and SN wine red and SN green. And the Disney cuties are again self made and designed water decals. I added the bone with bow, the Christmas hat, the candy cane, the present and the tree myself.

Christmas 2011: Winnie the Pooh cuties

Hello Everyone,

 

Today something from 2011 again. These nails were very special to me I made them while my mom was in the hospital and had surgery. We did not know back then she would never wake up again :( We left the hospital very late that evening and my current nails weren't pretty at all any more and I felt weird standing beside her bed with chipped nails. She wouldn't expect that of me, so really late in the evening I did my nails really quick. When I need to do something quick I always choose a holo polish. I did not bring much nail stuff to my parents place but I did had some decals and plates.

 

My mom knew I really like Disney so I used these Disney cuties water decals that I made and designed myself. I made them Christmassy adding the stocking, hat, tree, present, candy cane etc.

 

Seeing these nails makes me sad again, because she never saw them anymore. And I used to love showing my nails every week to my mom. And with these nails I spent a week until 2nd Christmas (the day she died) living in the hospital. We also slept there (well tried to sleep there was one extra bed so we took shifts) and  we only left sometimes to get some food and feed our pets. But my mom and dad's place is only 5 minutes by bike from the hospital. My dad never left and even showered there, the moment she did really died I wasn't there (I was just at home to take a shower) and I blame myself and it makes me mad. Because my sister slept a couple of nights at home because she couldn't leave her dog alone so many nights and nothing happened. And I just left 5 minutes after staying with her all the time and she died and I missed that :( it still feel so bad :( Some people say that maybe she wanted to spare me that final moment of turning really white with blue finger nails, but to me it feels like I let her down and I wasn't there for her and that feeling sucks.

So these nails really remind me of that period :( and are very special to me.

 

Base China Glaze Sexagon (my favorite silver holo). Self made and designed water decals of the Winnie the Pooh cuties. And stamped the stars from Konad M3 with SN red.

Also something weird, we did decorated the trees at my mom and dad's place and at my boyfriend place while she was in the hospital, because after the first surgery it went well and they were saying that maybe she could be home with Christmas...unfortunately that never happened. The Christmas decorations at my parent's place are always silver and at me and my boyfriends place they are red. So I realized later that these nails represent both colors of both my homes (I offically still live with my parents ;)) and I often decorate my nail room with Disney Christmas stuff.

But this year I decorated the door of out living room with Winnie the Pooh :)

Christmas 2009: Tinkerbell

Hi Everyone,

Today again something I made in 2009. The decals were a little vague, but I still liked these a lot back then.

Base China Glaze Moonlight (natural sheer white) french tips with China Glaze Sexagon (gorgeous silver holo) self made water decals of Tinkerbell dressed up in a Christmas outfit, stamped with Konad SN red and M45 the tips and the little twinkle stars are from M40.

Christmas 2011: Chococat in a Christmas ball :)

Hello Everyone,

Like I said yesterday I made Christmas ball decals again in 2011. Did this during my blogging break, while my mom was really sick. I also did Chococat decals this year, Chococat in the stocking..saying I wanted a kitty for Christmas. I used that same Chococat image in 2011 but than placed in balls instead of stockings :)

Base Essence 50's Girls Reloaded 04 Love me Tender. Self made/ designed water decals of Chococat in Christmas balls. Stamped with Konad M76 and SN yellow, SN psyche pink, SN green, SN blue and SN red.

I really liked the color but did not liked the finish and it was a bit brush strokey ;) But luckily those weren't showing all the time. See swatches.
