Freehand Fairies with 3D wings

Hi Everyone,

I did this mani about 3 months ago for a freehand contest. I made a Fairy Forest with flowers, a little creek, cute bunny, mushrooms (or should I say Fairy houses ;)) fairies with 3D wings and little fire flies.  We all know I am not a freehand artist (not even close haha :P) but I do occasionally freehand some details or once in while do a freehand scenery. I did these for #Chele_EnchantedMani I liked the enchanted theme and always like a challenge just to have some fun :)

I was inspired by one of a stamping scenery mani but in this case I freehanded everything (I am a little proud of my fairy wings :)) Randomly painted Color Club Pucci-licious, China Glaze That's Shore Bright, China Glaze Neon & On & On and China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle for the base. Also put a glitter holo topcoat from Catrice on top.  I also like to do some fun 3D art so I painted the wings on a ziplock bag colored them with Color Club Harp on it..topcoated cut them paste one wing on my nail and the other wing only part of it so the fairies have 3D wings.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freehand: Beach scenery

Hi Everyone,

Here my 3rd attempt at a freehand mani...a Sunset beach scenery. With islands, palm trees, dolphins, a hammock, a boat etc. I did these about 3 months ago.

For the gradient base I used a blue, yellow, orange, pink and purple holo from Teeez and Catherine Arley. And painted with acrylic paint.

And here the gradient base.

For these kind of sceneries I'll stick to stamping  lol...a bit of fail with the messy palm trees and all, but I did like the base ;)

Freehand: Spring Scenery

Hi Everyone,

Last week I did my 4th completely freehand mani. This reminds me I still have to post me 3rd one too. A Spring scenery with trees, flowers, plants, a butterfly, swan, dragonfly and a froggy on a lily leaf. I've done similar sceneries with stamping before and thought lets give it a try with a dotting tool and a brush now :) I like trying new things :)

Base is Lime crime Once in a Blue Mousse and Lime Crime Pastelchio. Rest done with paint..no sure what kind of paint. But it is old and not that great.

R.I.P. sweet ratty Hope ♥

Hi everyone,

Today we had to say goodbye to one of our sweet pet ratties...Hope ♥ We will miss you and also Faith and Joy will miss you. R.I.P sweet strong little girl.

The top nails I had when we went to the Vet and when we came back I stamped her name and the tombstone :( Ofcourse I had to wear my ratty ring too.  Base Lime Crime Crema de Limon on top of that neon glow in the dark yellow from BK 02, made the cheese with a dotting tool...just making holes in it so the lighter base or my bare nail was visable and added a little darker orange/yellow on some spots. The rat and tombstone are from a no number plate from the Tedi shop Gemany. And the letters are from Nailways Back to Basics - 123ABC plate.

I'm from The Netherlands

Hi Everyone,

As you all know I am from The Netherlands also known as Holland. There was a challenge on IG to represent your heritage with nail art. So today I have some Dutch nails for you.

Orange is our national color so I chose a light orange base: Lime Crime Peaches ♥ Cream. I thought it was fun to show some typical Dutch things...things people think about when they envision Holland.

Ofcourse my country is known for it's cheese (pinkie), everyone here rides a bicycle and there are mills (ring finger), Heineken is a Dutch beer brand and we love to drink beer (middle finger), stroop wafels are famous Dutch cookies with caramel (index), a blonde (somehow people often think the Dutch are all blonde) girl with old fashioned Dutch clothing and tullips (thumb). Also stamped the tullips at my tips in our red, white and blue flag colors. Images all come from MoYou Tourist 15 plate. I freehanded the tiny Dutch flags.

This was so much fun too do.

All done with cheap bad paint...LOL really need some good acryllic paint one day ^_^ but had fun trying freehand for the 2nd time.

I'd love to go to Santorini someday it was my moms favorite island.

I still have lots to learn but I was happy with how they turned out.

Another picture with different light.

And here together with my inspiration... my moms funeral card. This was a picture she took herself on Santorini.

My first completely freehand mani...a Winter Scene!

Hi Everyone,

The new year just started and what is a better way to start then trying new things..challenge my self to do new stuff. So here is my first completely freehanded mani, I have done some freehand details or an accent finger before but never a completely freehanded many :)

I know it is nothing compared to all those masters out there I am kinda proud of it. I don't have good brushes and only have some really old paint (not even sure what kind of paint LOL) but did it all with paint and polish.

I often write a little story with my mani too so is another story:

"A girl and her little brother went on their annual winter holiday together with their parents. And just like every year they went to the cabin in the mountains. They always have a lot of fun there. While Mom and Dad enjoyed time together in the cabin next to the fire place the kids played outside in the snow. The girl was getting very good in figure iceskating, she wants to join the Olympics when she is older. Her little brother had fun on the ice too on his skates playing with the sleigh.Their cute little black dog also played outside in the snow. And all together they build this large snowman. They had a great vacation in their Winter Wonderland."

Before I started to paint this on my nails I first drew a quick sketch on paper for an idea.

And some more picture in different light.

I always be a stamping girl, but maybe I'll try freehand some more every now and then :)

Thanks for reading <3

All my mani's for the BM challenge :)

Hi Everyone,

Here a picture of all the mani's I've done for the Bundle Monster challenge. I had so much fun, too bad I missed the first weeks because I was on vacation. I've never done a daily challenge and loved doing the 18 I did :) I wasn't one of the lucky randomly chosen winners...but having fun was more important :) I loved being creative and thinking outside the box sometimes.

Still have to show you my final Halloween mani.

Mummies...creative with toilet paper :P

Hi Everyone,

This was my mani for the BM challenge day 21 and the theme was Mummies. I did not have a real mummy looking image so I had to improvise ;) and I was creative with toilet paper.

Base Sinful Colors Black on Black. Used the balls of yarn image (well I think it supposed to be that) from BM206 to make mummy heads haha and added eyes with a dotting tool. And on my ring finger I've been creative with pieces of toilet paper and also a dotting tool

And another picture of my hand.

I so loved doing this mani...might be my favorite I've done. It was just so fun playing with the toilet paper haha.

Pirates

Hi Everyone,

The BM challenge for day 29 is Pirates. I don't have their new sun kissed collection which contains pirate images so had to find another way to make a pirate mani using BM plates ;)

Base Sinful Colors Snow me White and P2 680 Glamour. Stamped the wood with Konad SN brown and BM309 (made it look like an old pirate ship). The anchor on my pinkie is from BM08. For my ring finger I used BM423 to make the red dotted pirate bandana and used BM413 for his mouth and freehanded the rest. For my middle finger I used BM-H07 for the skull and freehanded the flag and the bones. For my index I used the skull from BM225 and freehanded the bandana and the bones.

I will post all the other mani's soon too, think I'll blog twice a day now.

And BM- H06 for the tiny blood drops on his teeth And a little freehand for te rest of the vampire.

Scary zombies

Hi Everyone,

Today another Halloween mani I've made this week. I really did a lot of Halloween mani's this week. This was for the Bundle Monster challenge and the theme that day was zombies .As you all know I like being creative with stamps too and use parts of image to create something new. I also did this here too and I also used a little freehand.

China Glaze FYI holo base stamped with BM-H06 the eyes (first stamped in red and colored them red and stamped over it with white), the teeth (first stamped in black then stamped over it in white) and the blood. BM-H08 for the zombie hands and BM411 for the stitches (used parts of it). And a little freehand for the nose and mouth on my thumb.

I only have one pic to show, I already swatched this polish some years ago so no swatches.

Have a nice weekend!

Romantic Summer Beach Scenery

Hi Everyone,

Here my mani and pedi I did before the weekend. I wanted to do another summer beach scenery. I always love doing that and especially with bright neon colors.

Base a gradient sponged over white using China Glaze Towel Boy Toy, China Glaze That's Shore Bright, China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and China Glaze Sun Worshiper. And added a subtle spectraflair topcoat on top for the holo sparkle.  Palm trees are from Nailways Vive la Vie- Beach baby, little dolphin, waves, boat, lighthouse from Moyou Sailor 01, big dolphin and birds from Stampaholics ST01, part of plam tree leaf from H10, love couple from Messy Mansion MM03. And a little freehand.

And ofcourse a matching pedi.
Toes no white base just sponged without the orange color and on the rest of my toes only Flip Flop fantasy. The love couple is made with parts from Moyou Mother Nature 01.

And here my other foot.

And a picture of the gradient base.

I was really happy with this mani and still have it on my nails :)

World Turtle Day....hatching turtle eggs

 Hi Everyone,

Today is World Turtle Day :) I did not even knew there was such a thing, but now I do. Thanks to Nailpolis. They have a World Turtle Day challenge there (so many super cute and beautiful mani's). As some of you may remember about 1,5 years ago I went to Zakynthos on holiday. Zakynthos is a Greek island well known for the "Caretta Caretta" turtle (also known for partying but that was the reason I was there haha) There are many hatching beaches there. During our vacation we learned a lot more about these turtles and even got to see them swimming in the ocean. You can see all the turtle manis and my holiday pics in previous blogposts (search Greece + turtle). I still haven't blogged about one of the 3 turtle mani's I did back then (told you still soo many mani's to show LOL) I did share all my previous turtle manis in the Nailpolis challenge, but ofcourse I also wanted to do a new turtle mani.

I think turtles are amazing animals. So I did a mani with little baby turtles hatching from their eggs finding their way into the big blue ocean. One little guy already made it (middle finger) and is under water :) From all the eggs that actually hatch only a few make it into the ocean. And even if they make it, their chances of survival aren't that big either. Poor little baby turtles.

I've been wanting to do this mani ever since I got my Stampaholics ST01 plate..now almost a year later I finally did it for this challenge :)

I used a nude with golden shimmer from Catrice (very old can't see the name anymore) for the beach. Sponged with Konad pastel blue over it and white in between the water and the sand. Sponged over the pastel blue with a shimmery blue from Catrice C02 Never green before to give it more of a water effect with the shimmer and some places a little darker.

Used Konad SN white to stamp the broken/ hatching eggs made with parts of Nailways Spring Time Easter Bunny plate A-NW00006. The shells in the water and on the beach are from HB46 (colored over them with Kleancolor Metallic white for the shimmer pearly shell effect. And ofcourse the dark green (Konad black mixed with moss green) cute little baby turtles are from Stampaholics ST01 plate <3  I freehanded the little starfishes with a self made coral stamping polish :)

I was a little inspired by my nail friend Aasta her beach mani she gave me the idea to sponge white between the ocean and the sand.

I took some more pictures in different light.

I know not everbody likes these sceneries on their nails, but I do and I just enjoy making them.

ST01 is also still one of my favorite plates, if I am correct she will be expecting new stock and her fourth ST04 plate next month.

Happy World Turtle Day and have a nice weekend.

*Lest We Forget* ANZAC Remembrance Day nails

Hi Everyone,

The Saturday challenge from Nail Update is ANZAC or Penguin nails. I am blogging about this already because tonight and tomorrow we celebrate Kingsday here in Holland. Formerly known as Queensday or Q-day but since we now have a King it will be Kingsday. Anyway that means I won't have much time to go on a computer. So I am sharing my challange mani earlier.

I chose to do ANZAC nails and today it is ANZAC day so it isn't even that bad that I blog about these now ;) When I was googling to find out what ANZAC day meant I saw this pretty picture of a poem. And that became my inspiration. Will post that picture too.

I am really proud of how thes turned out, I even did freehand and I don't do freehand much haha. Cause I am not good at it. Even my boyfriend liked these nails.

Base Saran wrap with Catrice C01 Pebble Beach, Konad SN white and Konad SN black. Used Konad M36 and M36-I for the SN green leaves, flower buds etc. With Konad SN black I stamped the big cross from Konad S3, the words "Lest We Forget' are from the tittles of Nailways plates. The little cross is part of FUN5. The soldier is the man from the dancing love couple on Messy Mansion MM03 and freehanded him an arm, hand, hat/helmet, rifle/gun. And freehanded the poppies with Konad SN red, SN black and a little SN yellow.

My nails together with my inspiration
Here a link to the poem picture

And some pictures of just the saran wrap base.

I also really liked this base.

For all my Australian and New Zealand readers, have a good ANZAC day!

For all my Dutch readers Happy Kings night/day!

And for the rest...I wish you a wonderful weekend :)

Bad Hair Day

Hi Everyone,

Today something fun, I did this last week. As you all know I love being challenged and get creative, I was invited for a "Bad Hair Day" contest over at Upload And Share Your Own Nail Art Creations and felt so honored (she is amazing). I was challenged to think outside the box and use unusual things for nail art. So I used my own hair haha :)

"The moment you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror (pinkie)
Trying to brush and comb your hair (ring finger)
But nothing works you are having a bad hair day (middle finger)
Blow drying, combing, brushing...you even consider cutting because nothing works (index finger)
But then you make the cutest braid with bows (thumb)
And you bad hair day is saved"

We had to include a paper with a smiley face on it so she could see it was new and made for her contest :)
Gradient with Essence Show your feet Flamingo rose, Konad SN pastel violet and Essie Full Steam Ahead. Stamped the mirror from Moyou Princess 07 and colored it with a mini silver from Color Club, stamped the comb, brush, sciccors, blowdryer, hand mirror from parts of Cheeky CH40. Stamped and colored the girl on Moyou Suki 10 and used a little freehand coloring, adjusting her hair and eyes.  And added my own real hair on my middle finger and made a little braid in my own hair cut it off and paste it on my thumb haha LOL Also added one silver and one pink fabric bow.

Also a picture without the smiley face.

And this what it look liked without my own hair.

And some swatches of just the pink and lilac gradient base.

I had so much fun doing this :)

Thanks for reading.

Hi5 challenge: inspired by Lillibit's blog

Hi Everyone,

A few months ago I was challenged by Lillibit for the Hi5 challenge. I was one of the 5 ladies she challenged to do a mani inspired by her blog (the way it looks). As soon as I read that I wanted to do something with the cute gnome girl (lillibit) that is on her blog and is also her profile picture on facebook.

I was really busy the last months but this week I finally did this fun challenge. Ofcourse my freehand skills aren't good that I could draw the Lillibit, so I had to think of something to make with stamps. As you know I always like making my own images out of parts of different stamping images. So I did my best to recreate a little Lillibit on my nails.

Here my mani together with the Lillibit picture.
Base China Glaze L8R G8R over that a gradient with W7 120 Mojito and a no brand green. Stamped the branches and leaves with Moyou Mother Nature (landscape) collection 03 and Konad SN green and SN brown. Made the Lillibit with the hat from FUN11 (next to the star wars logo) and Pebbles from FUN3. I editted and freehanded a little and then made stamping decals from it coloring with Konad SN black, SN yellow, SN violet, SN red and a self made pastel orange mix.

And some more pictures.

And a picture of just the gradient base.

This was such a fun challenge to do and I feel honored that Lillibit invited me for this :)

Now it is my turn to challenge people.

1. Make a mani in the theme, write a blogpost about it and link back to the person who challenged you.
2. Think of a new theme.
3. Invite 5 bloggers to do the challenge in your theme.

The theme for my Hi5 challenge is Monkey See Monkey Do ...so recreate/copy a mani that I made in the past years on my blog, it can be anything. It can be an exact recreation, but also something similar (I know not everyone has the exact same polishes or plates etc) it can also be the same design but with different colors if you like. It would be fun to post my picture together with your own. And please let me know when you did the challenge :)

It was hard to choose just 5 amazing bloggers, I love so many blogs. But I challenge:
2. Life in Color

Hope these ladies will accept the challenge <3

There is no time limit, but if you accept please let me know. And let me know when you did the challenge so I don't miss it ;)

Thanks for reading.

Have a nice weekend.

Valentine's Day in Paradise

Hi Everyone,

Today another mani I made last weeks. Made these for a Valentine's challenge on Nailpolis. I wanted to do a V-day mani like how I would love to spend my Valentine's Day...somewhere in Paradise, warm, the beach, the ocean hmmm :) A few years ago I did a romantic mani like this, together with stamping and self made water decals see here. It inspired me to do something like this now too, but since I now own love couple plates I made it an all stamping mani (and a little tiny bit of freehand) :)

So I made a romance under the moonlight, with a beautiful (love) boat) an airplane making a heart in the sky and even the dolphins are in love <3

Base 3 holo's from Teeez Cool 02, Smooth 01, Outta Control 01. Stamped with Konad SN black and China Glaze OMG. Using Messy Mansion MM03 (love couple), Stampaholics ST01 (dolphins), Nailways Vive la vie Beach baby (palm trees), Vivid Lacquer VL023 (boat), HB29 (heart in sky) Nailways Vive la vie Vacation (airplane) MoYou Mother Nature 01 (heart above dolphins) and Konad M14 (silver twinkle stars). And a little freehand (moon, islands, waves).

Another picture.

And a picture of just the holo base.

Snow globes :)

Hi Everyone :)

Today I'll show you my first winter nails :) Nail polish Canada invited me again to join their Holiday challenge, just like last year. I always feel honored when they invite me to join. And I love joining even though I am not eligible for the prizes (since I am not in the US or Canada). Maybe you are allowed to just give an US/Canada address, I don't know that. But just joining is already a lot of fun with or without prizes :)

The theme of this first week is Snow you can see all the participants by clicking the snow link. So I decided to make snow globe nails hahaha. I saw some snow globes online and I wanted to make that on my nails. And since I am a stamping girl...it is all done with stamping :)

It was hard to capture so my thumb is in an oblique angle. And it isn't all perfect and neat but I still like it :)
Basea beautiful blue holo polish... Jade Hypnose. Stamped with Bundle Monster BM320 and BM07 (peace signs) the snow globes and colored them with white blue and silver and a little glitter topcoat. Stamped the globe/bulb standard with Konad M19 (part of the french tip) first in white went over it with red. Used QA19 from Born Pretty Store for the reindeer, house, snowman and golden snowflakes on the standard. Winstonia W115 for the penguin. HB33 for the little Christmas trees. And dotted white snowflakes. I used Konad black, white, pastel blue, silver, brown, yellow, red, green, pastel orange and Essence A piece of forever for stamping (stamping decals), coloring and dotting.

And some swatches of this pretty blue holo polish.

You can still join the Nail polish Canada challenge and also vote for your favorite on their website.
I am already looking foward to next weeks theme, I always like these challenges.

Thank you for reading :)

Have a nice weekend!
