Flowers and butterflies

Hi Everyone,

For this weekend I did a matching pedi and mani. I am going swimming so I love to do a matching pedi. And it is inspired by the colors of my bikini.

It was hard to photograph the pink flowers are better showing in real life ;)

Catrice LE Rock-O-Co C04 Apricoco. Stamped with BP-34 the flowers and Mundo de Uñas Avocado and Tulip and stamped with Catrice Rock-O-Co C01 L'Ombre A Sanssouci the grey butterflies from Born Pretty BP-22.

And my matching pedi.

I really love this base polish, it is actually a matte.

This is 3 thin coats and it dried really fast.

Have a nice weekend.

A beautiful Spring day

Hi Everyone,

Here a mani I've done a few weeks ago for a Spring contest :) Just a short post today, cause did not take more pictures. And it is late so don't feel like typing a lot, but did wanted a new post up before the weekend ;) It does have a bunny in it so it could be the Easter bunny ;) Happy Easter!

A gradient with Lime Crime Pastelchio, Lim Crime Once In a Blue Mousse and China Glaze Too Yacht too handle. Stamped the trees, grass, sun, clouds, fox, deer and bunny with Emily de Molly EdM 07. The flowers and butterfly are from HB32, the dragonfly and jumping frog from the grass are from HB34. Dotted the flowers center and the blossom in the trees. Used Konad polishes for the stamping.

Wish you all a nice Easter weekend!

Spring time...doggies in love

Hi Everyone,

Today a mani I've done a few weeks ago. It was one of my 2 entries in a Spring themed contest. They picked 5 finalist, this mani wasn't one of them, but my other entry was.

A subtle green/yellow gradient with Lime Crime Pastelchio and Lime Crime Crema de Limon. On top INM Nothern lights topcoat. Stamped the flowers with Konad PSN neon green and MoYou 216, the doggies in love are from MoYou 66, I made stamping decals of those and mirror stamped one doggy from stamper to stamper before coloring it. The heart is dotted with a dotting tool.

And another picture.

Also some swatches of the base. You can see the gradient better.

I really liked this base.

Freehand: Spring Scenery

Hi Everyone,

Last week I did my 4th completely freehand mani. This reminds me I still have to post me 3rd one too. A Spring scenery with trees, flowers, plants, a butterfly, swan, dragonfly and a froggy on a lily leaf. I've done similar sceneries with stamping before and thought lets give it a try with a dotting tool and a brush now :) I like trying new things :)

Base is Lime crime Once in a Blue Mousse and Lime Crime Pastelchio. Rest done with paint..no sure what kind of paint. But it is old and not that great.

MoYou Nails: Dachshunds in love

Hi Everyone,

Remember I few weeks ago I posted the Dinosaur nails and showed you the plates I got from Moyou Nails I then promised to do another mani with both these plates. Well here it is, I did this earlier but did not had time to blog about them yet.

The base a subtle yellow gradient with Boulevard Ice Cream polish yellow, OPI Need Sunglasses and Essence Cherry Blossom Girl 01 Fortune Cookie.  Stamped the black Dachshunds with Moyou nails 66 and the red and orange flowers from Moyou nails 216. Added some dots in the flowers and dotted the little hearts .Used Konad stamping polishes. I mirror stamped one Dachshund (from stamper to stamper and then on the nail).

Here some pics of the gradient base.

My sister has a wire haired Dachshund and know that these ones aren't the same but still I had to do this Dachshund mani :)

Like I said in my Dinosaur post the plates stamp really well and so does the stamper. The quality is great! Make sure to check out their site for more great plates. And they also have facebook and instagram and twitter for those who have that ;)

Thanks for reading :)

"Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees...."

Hi Everyone,

"Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees
and the flowers and the trees,
the moon up above,
and the thing called love."

A few weeks ago there was this contest from Above The Curve and the theme was Spring is in the air.  In the Spring lots of animals/people fall in love so I wanted to do a cute Spring scenery where 2 snails fall in love  :) You know how much I love doing sceneries/landcape nails all done with stamping. I always have so much fun making these.

Base a white from P2 sponged with Born Pretty Store BK 06 and BK 02 glow in the dark polishes. Added a subtle Spectraflair topcoat on top. Used many plates HB34 (bee), Moyou Mother Nature 01 (hearts, grass, flowers, butterfly) and 02 (flowers) Moyou Suki 10 (grass), Moyou Princess 04 (snails), Nailways Snowwhite Weather Forecast (clouds) and Nailways Vive la Vie Beach Baby (kite). Using Konad SN dark orange, orange pearl, green, black, white, pastel violet, sky pearl, yellow, red and Klean color metallic white.

And another picture with different light.

And a pic of just the gradient glow in the dark sponged base.

I was happy with how this mani turned out. While I was making it the song about the Birds and the Bees got stuck in my head and now I hope you have that too haha ;)

The see all the other entries in this fun contest click here. And also check out their beautiful polishes I can stop drooling on those holo's (don't own any but my nail friends do and when they post their mani's I am like woooow soooo pretty :) )

Thank you for reading.

Have a nice day :)

Flowers and Skull

Hi Everyone,

The challenge in different nail groups this week is Cinco de Mayo...it did another mani for this. Will blog about those next week. But later this week I did these nails and they also have a "Mexican" feeling to it with the sugar skull :) I really like this skull it is one of my favorite Bundle Monster plates.

Orly Basket Case, stamped with Konad SN white and BM 205 for the flowers and added a little pink and yellow color. The skull is from BM 413 stamped with Konad SN black colored with SN white and a little pink and added neon orange studs as eyes.

Here a swatch of the mini Orly Basket Case.

Have a nice weekend.

*Lest We Forget* ANZAC Remembrance Day nails

Hi Everyone,

The Saturday challenge from Nail Update is ANZAC or Penguin nails. I am blogging about this already because tonight and tomorrow we celebrate Kingsday here in Holland. Formerly known as Queensday or Q-day but since we now have a King it will be Kingsday. Anyway that means I won't have much time to go on a computer. So I am sharing my challange mani earlier.

I chose to do ANZAC nails and today it is ANZAC day so it isn't even that bad that I blog about these now ;) When I was googling to find out what ANZAC day meant I saw this pretty picture of a poem. And that became my inspiration. Will post that picture too.

I am really proud of how thes turned out, I even did freehand and I don't do freehand much haha. Cause I am not good at it. Even my boyfriend liked these nails.

Base Saran wrap with Catrice C01 Pebble Beach, Konad SN white and Konad SN black. Used Konad M36 and M36-I for the SN green leaves, flower buds etc. With Konad SN black I stamped the big cross from Konad S3, the words "Lest We Forget' are from the tittles of Nailways plates. The little cross is part of FUN5. The soldier is the man from the dancing love couple on Messy Mansion MM03 and freehanded him an arm, hand, hat/helmet, rifle/gun. And freehanded the poppies with Konad SN red, SN black and a little SN yellow.

My nails together with my inspiration
Here a link to the poem picture

And some pictures of just the saran wrap base.

I also really liked this base.

For all my Australian and New Zealand readers, have a good ANZAC day!

For all my Dutch readers Happy Kings night/day!

And for the rest...I wish you a wonderful weekend :)

Easter eggs and hatching chick

Hi Everyone,

Here one of the 4 Easter mani's I did the last 2 weeks....I guess that means more blogging or I'll be showing Easter nails after Easter too ;) (I am sure that will be the case haha).

I was again invited by Nail Polish Canada to enter their contest, always a honor and so much fun to be show cased between all those amazing artists. But stupid me thought the deadline was the 17th not the 16th haha oopsie. I did them like monday, so I should have just blogged about them then hahaha.

You can see all the amazing entries and vote for your favorite by clicking the link.

Base China Glaze Lemon Fizz, sponged with Konad SN pastel green, China Glaze Peachy Keen, Konad SN pastel pink, Konad SN pastel blue and Konad SN pastel violet. Plates BM H09 and Winstonia W212 using Klean color metallics and Konad SN black (colored with Konad SN yellow and Konad SN white).

Another picture.

And a picture of the sponged gradient tips.

Normally just before Easter I break a nail (happened to me 2 years) seems like my Easter tradition. And it is always my middle finger. And then looking back at my Easter mani's I am like well that sucks one shorty :P So I really hope I don't break a nail this week ;)

NailNation Awesome Sauce with simple nailart

Hi everyone,

Today a mani I did 2 weeks ago. It was a nice Spring weekend and I wanted a bright holo on my nails, so it was time to use one of my NailNation polishes.

I really loved Awesome Sauce it looked amazing especially in the sun ofcourse. After I did topcoat on it it changed color...that was so weird. I know white stamping often changes color with topcoat but the polish it self turned more orange too. You can see the difference on my mani and pedi picture.

I went to the beach that weekend so I wanted something bright. The challenge that week in AIS was to combine stamping with other nail art, so I decided to do some dotting too (but I totally forgot to post that mani there that sunday haha)

Base NailNation Awesome Sauce, stamped with Konad SN white and Nailways Vive la Vie - Beach baby A-NW00010. And dotted with white and later went over it with Konad PSN psyche yellow and psyche orange.

Here you can see how the polish and the stamping turned more orange.
Matching pedi and mani (well not very matching since the color changed ;) )

And my hand on the beach.

And some swatches of this awesome polish ;)

Final a pic of the sunset we watched sitting at a bench eating and enjoying a nice cold beer.

Cats playing in the garden :)

Hi everyone,

This was actually my first idea for the blogger mani-a giveaway/contest. I saw the list of 11 themes and one of them is CATS so I immediately thought of this mani. Then I heard I could do more then one theme so I did 2 other ones too :) Like I said before I love doing themed mani's and I had enough ideas for all the themes haha, but that would be too much. I really wanted to do this Kitties/Cats playing in the garden mani. I like making scenery/landscape nails, they do take some time to make but I love doing that :)

The weather is really nice here..it really feels like Spring :) Outside you always see cats chasing frogs (thumb) or butterflies (ring finger) and just having fun in a garden. So I had to make that on my nails too. And I miss having cats. I had not used the plate with the cats yet so this was also a perfect opportunity to do that.

Base DA magical with a franken green holo and Nubar Absolute. Cats are from Born Pretty Store plate QA15. Frog, swan, dragonfly from HB34. Grass from Konad M66 and Moyou Mother Nature 01. Flowers from HB33, Moyou Suki 10, Moyou Mother Nature 01. Butterflies also from Moyou Mother Nature 01. Sun is from Nailways Snowwhite Weather Forecast. And the clouds are from Moyou Mother Nature (aka Landscape) 06.

Colors used: Konad SN black, SN white, SN yellow, SN pastel blue, SN orange pearl, SN red, SN moss green, SN pastel pink, PSN apple green, PSN pop green, Flormar 47.

Also used a dotting tool  and a sponge (for the water).

I hope the weather will be nice here the next week too......can't wait for the Summmer.

Bzzzzzzzzz

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post with my nails for this weekend. I broke my poor pinkie nail earlier this week so don't mind my short little nail ;) I messed up my thumb a little but probably nobody IRL will notice that ;)

Base a yellow ETOS mini (no name or number) on top BK 02 (Born Pretty Store glow in the dark yellow) stamped/colored with Konad SN black, P2 eternal, Klean color metallic white and Essence Cherry Blossom girl LE 01 Fortune cookie. Using Fab Ur Nails FUN5 and FUN7.

Have a nice weekend!

What a girl wants...

Hi Everyone,

Today a colorful mani with all kinds of stuff a girl wants or likes ;) Or so people say :) Cosmetica, perfume, nail polish, fashion/shoes, jewelry/diamonds, love and sweets (macarons). Born Pretty Store is having a contest on their blog and the rules were to use specific products of them that were listed. It is a pretty long list so enough options to choose from. One of these products were these water decals. So I made a mani with them. The decals have so many pastel colors so I wanted to do a base with those colors too. And some holo glitter and stamping. I always love to combine things in this case: painting, stamping, glitter, sponging and using water decals.

Base China Glaze Lemon Fizz. Stamped a full nail with M57 and Konad SN white. And sponged colorful tips over that. I made a sideways sort of gradient using Konad SN pastel green, a self made pastel orange mix, SN pastel blue, SN pastel violet, SN pastel pink. Added a layer of Catrice Million Styles C08 Have an Icy Day (a holo glitter topcoat) And used the Born Pretty Store water decals with all the girly stuff.

And a picture before the decals so you can see the stamping better.

And also before I added the topcoat.

And some more pictures of this mani in different light. It was hard to capture all the colors and the glitter and stamping.

All these colors remind me of Spring and also Easter but then instead of the girly stuff it had to be Easter eggs ;) I do love all these girly things but never ate a macaron in my life...do want too try them they always look yummy :)

I believe the entries will be on the Born Pretty blog in a few days.

They also have some great new nail art wheels.
You can see them here. I really like the candy colored one. If you want to buy them, don't forget to use the coupon code BPSL91 to get a 10% discount!

Owls and Cherry Blossoms ♥

Hi Everyone,

I am so behind with posting my mani's (from weeks, months and even years ago....lol) But today something I've made this week and currently still have on my nails :) I just had to use some of my new plates from Moyou they have released many awesome plates lately. I only have a couple but love the ones I have. One very special plate is Suki 01 it is just sooo unique, I love it. This is also the plate I used for this mani and pedi.

A gradient made with Max Factor 27 Cool Jade and Deborah Milano 827 (had the colors reversed on my feet) All stamped with parts from Moyou Suki 01 and Konad SN black and SN white. And added dots in the flowers and eyes with a dotting tool and Konad SN white and Konad SN pastel pink. Also added topcoat over it all.

And my matching pedi :) I love the really big owl it is perfect for my big toe :)
Both hand and foot with topcoat.

Also my right hand.
This pic was taken before I put topcoat on.

And both my feet :) When I look down or lie I see 2 cute owls watching me haha :)
Also this was without topcoat.

And again my hands and foot but then without topcoat.
As you can see I reversed the colors on my toes. So I painted my toes with Max Factor 27 Cool Jade and sponged with Deborah Milano 827. And my hands I painted with Deborah Milano 827 and sponged with Max Factor 27 Cool Jade.

And some swatches of the gradient base.
 Entire hand.

And just my 4 fingers.

I am really happy with this mani/pedi. It turned out how I envisioned it in my head (not perfect tho but I am happy). When I first saw the Moyou Suki plates I knew I wanted to make something like this :)

Moyou has many more lovely plates, make sure to check out their website (too bad my birthday money is now all spent, cause I really want more of them haha)

Thanks for reading/watching.

Floam ♥ with some simple flowers

Hi Everyone,

I finally used my Floam and I love it :) I am not the biggest glitter fan, a lot of my untrieds are glitter polish. But I do really love Floam. It are really tiny "matte glitter" I know matte glitter sounds strange lol, cause it isn't glitter-y (is that a word? ;)) So I started calling them little scales, like fish scales ;) I needed 4 coats to get it opaque but it dried fast, so that wasn't a problem. Cleaning the cuticles was a problem hahaha, glitter everywhere. And removing it wasn't fun either, tried the normal way on one finger, then I decided to use the foil technique for the first time and it worked good :)

Base Floam stamped with XL plate O (that is a dupe of XL K) with Konad SN black and added some SN yellow and SN sky blue dots.

Another picture of my hand.

And of course swatches of this really cool polish :)

It are tiny yellow and blue matte glitters and very flat, it doesn't felt really gritty. The yellow and blue together gave this a green look. I really like Floam I think it is unique.

Have a nice weekend!
