Holiday Memories ♥

Hi Everyone,

Today a special mani for me :) The final week of the Nail Polish Canada Holiday challenge is “Holiday Memories” this can be whatever your favourite part of the holidays is, whatever gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

This theme was really special for me, as most of you know I lost my mother on 2nd Christmas Day 2011, so my favorite memories are the ones with my mom.  Especially when she was “playing” Santa and when she was wrapping our presents. Cause me and my sister always knew what was inside the presents just by looking at the shape and feeling it. That is when she started to wrap them inside objects or make strange shapes of the presents.

Like when we got a lipstick she would put it inside a “toilet roll” or using old boxes from other stuff. Then we opened the present and saw a pack of candles, but the real present was inside that box. The weeks before Christmas she spend hours in the addict wrapping the presents. And my dad always mumbled why she would always keep old boxes/packages from stuff….then she would say well it is for Christmas ;) Unwrapping them on Christmas Eve was always so fun ♥

This is my favorite Holiday Memory…sure miss those days.  So I did a mani representing these things, with on my ring finger a heart with the word mom and a Santa hat on top, cause my mom was our Santa. And on the other nails different presents.

Base Color Club winter affair mini Berry and Bright and P2 010 Pure White with P2 260 Divine on top for the shimmer. Gold full nail stamp with Essence A piece of Forever (Pueen 45). Made a stamping decal of a piece of the mom heart (Moyou Biker 08) stamped a Santa hat on top (Winstonia W120). The present are from Moyou Festive (aka Christmas) 01. Using Konad SN white, SN black and SN red.

And another pic with different lighting.

I really love participating in this 3 weeks challenge :) Like I said I believe I am not eligible for any prizes since I am not in the US or Canada, but I do love entering for the fun. You can vote for your favorite by clicking the link above (also still time to join yourself). If you like mine best I do appreciate it ♥

These days are always extra hard for me, but my mom loved Christmas so I think it is also kind of pretty she died on Christmas day cause she loved that holiday.

Snow globes :)

Hi Everyone :)

Today I'll show you my first winter nails :) Nail polish Canada invited me again to join their Holiday challenge, just like last year. I always feel honored when they invite me to join. And I love joining even though I am not eligible for the prizes (since I am not in the US or Canada). Maybe you are allowed to just give an US/Canada address, I don't know that. But just joining is already a lot of fun with or without prizes :)

The theme of this first week is Snow you can see all the participants by clicking the snow link. So I decided to make snow globe nails hahaha. I saw some snow globes online and I wanted to make that on my nails. And since I am a stamping girl...it is all done with stamping :)

It was hard to capture so my thumb is in an oblique angle. And it isn't all perfect and neat but I still like it :)
Basea beautiful blue holo polish... Jade Hypnose. Stamped with Bundle Monster BM320 and BM07 (peace signs) the snow globes and colored them with white blue and silver and a little glitter topcoat. Stamped the globe/bulb standard with Konad M19 (part of the french tip) first in white went over it with red. Used QA19 from Born Pretty Store for the reindeer, house, snowman and golden snowflakes on the standard. Winstonia W115 for the penguin. HB33 for the little Christmas trees. And dotted white snowflakes. I used Konad black, white, pastel blue, silver, brown, yellow, red, green, pastel orange and Essence A piece of forever for stamping (stamping decals), coloring and dotting.

And some swatches of this pretty blue holo polish.

You can still join the Nail polish Canada challenge and also vote for your favorite on their website.
I am already looking foward to next weeks theme, I always like these challenges.

Thank you for reading :)

Have a nice weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving :)

Hi Everyone,

I want to wish all my US readers a Happy Thanksgiving :) So today I have a Fall/Autumn Thanksgiving mani for you all :) I call this another episode from my Children's book :) cause someone once commented on a mani that it reminded her of children's book illustrations :) And with my Fairytale nails I also wrote a little story....the story on my nails lol :) So this time it is a thanksgiving episode in the forest with all kinds of cute animals. I love doing scenery/ landscape nails :)

Base a subtle gradient with Different Dimension Tubular and Born Pretty Store holo no 5. Stamped with Moyou Suki 01 (branches), Moyou Biker 08 (leaves), Moyou Back to the 60's 01 (mushroom), Winstonia W115 (owl), Winstonia W119 (turkey), Bundle Monster BM H11 (pumpkin), HB28 (spider), H21 (squirrel). Using Konad brown, black, white, yellow, green, red, orange, pastel orange and mixed some. From some images I made stamping decals, some I double stamped and the rest is just normal stamping :)

Here a pic of the sublte holo gradient.

I entered these in a Fall/Thanksgiving contest :)

Hope you all have a great thanksgiving for those who celebrate :) The rest hope you all just have a great day too :)

I am really happy with how these turned out.

Thanks for reading.

P2 Bloggers' Choice with nailart

Hi Everyone,

As I have said a couple of times already, I love P2. That is a budget brand from Germany. I love their nail polish and limited editions. The quality is great and very cheap too :) Every now and then they renew their assortment and I always like to look at the new products. One of the new nail polishes I found a while ago was P2 789 Bloggers' Choice...I needed this polish for the name ;) And it is also a unique color too. Very bright and shimmery. It probably looks better with tanned skin, but I do like this color. Made this a couple of weeks ago.

Base P2 789 Bloggers' Choice. I made stamping decals again (following Messy Mansion tutorial, coloring the stamp on your stamper and add a topcoat and peel it off as a sticker) I used Konad SN black and M67, colored them with Kleancolor metallic orange, blue and green. Green plants stamped with M32 and SN green.

Anoter picture of my hand.

And some swatches.

I love this polish and his name too :)

Thanks for reading.

Bright neon gradient music nails

Hi Everyone,

Remember my previous post that I said those black and white nails were a fail to me? I just wasn't feeling them, they made me depressed, not happy, so I really needed something bright. So I went for a neon gradient :) not very rocky for music band night but I so needed happy nails.

White base from P2 and on top a gradient with China Glaze Beach Cruise-r, Hang Ten-Toes, Towel Boy Toy, I'm With The Lifeguard and Sun-Kissed. On top a layer of China Glaze Wireless Holographic topcoat. Stamped with Konad SN black using Cheeky CH31 and the headphone is from one of the newest Essence plates and I made a stamping decal (see Messy Mansion's tutorial ) of it coloring it with white and silver.

And some pics of just the neon gradient base :)

I also had a birthday that weekend of one of my friends who turned 30 so later I added little 30 numbers on my index finger next to the headphones. I only have a cellphone picture of that and it all is a bit blue. It was fun teasing him, cause he did not like turning 30 years old ;)

I really love neon polishes.

Enjoy your weekend!

Something really quick and some ideas :)

Hi everyone,

I've been really sick 2 weeks ago, and last week I went on a short holiday to Center Parcs in Belgium. I was so sick that I was afraid I would not be able to go, but luckily that turned out okay. So sorry for not blogging for a a while.

Here is something I did 2 weeks ago when I had a little workshop again :) Some girls wanted to learn new things, so I showed them all the new things I've learned from fellow stamping/ nail addicts :)

Thumb: a gradient with a make up sponge. And 2 times stamping, first in pastel green then colored the image with that same color and stamped the same image again in metallic pink. With Nailways Spring Time -Easter Bunny A-NW00006 plate ;)

Index: using striping tape, sponging over it with a more coarse Konad sponge and removing the tape again and a Konad flower..

Middle vinger: a baby chicken ;) using flocking powder (but when I took the pic half of it was gone because it was done really quick with too little topcoat underneath) The face made with a dotting tool, the hair is stamped (part of the Konad pineapple image)

Ring finger: saran wrap technique with 2 colors.

Pinkie: a stamping decal Konad M1, coloring him on the stamper, then a layer of topcoat and peel it off. And put it on the nail, I smudged it a bit. But like I said it was done really quick just to show those girls how it was done :) On Messy Mansion is a great tutorial of stamping decals :)

I had so much fun that day, later I took most of it off and did saran wrap on all of them to cover the bald spots…had do it sooo fast cause had to go, but I thought can’t go out with these 5 different nails :P

The Saran wrap with China Glaze Lemon Fizz and a brght pink color from 2True. And a Kleancolor metallic black stamp from Konad M22.

The Saran wrap base.

Both together.

Last week I had skittle Easter nails and toes, I will show those tomorrow.

Have a nice weekend!
