Hi Everyone,

This mani is inspired by a new t-shirt I bought back then.
Base Essence Show Your Geet 05 Flashy Pink. Stamped the bats from a Halloween no name/number plate from the Tedi shop in Germany using Konad SN black. Dotted little white eyes on them with Konad SN white.

Here a pic of just the mani.

And some swatches.

The Great Polish Giveaway of 2014

Hi Everyone,

Nail Polish Canada is hosting The Great Polish Giveaway of 2014 They've partnered with Cirque Colors, NCLA & Picture Polish to host the biggest giveaway ever.  One winner will take home up to 200 nail polish from over 10 different brands! The prize starts at zero, then bloggers can each pick a favourite shade to be added to the prize.  You can enter on their website. And you can also enter once on each blog that adds a shade to the prize.

The prize is currently 186 shades.

I chose to add Nfu Oh 63

I love holo polishes and Nfu Oh 63 was one of my first holographic polishes. I also really love these bottles. Ofcourse I have some swatches for you of this beautiful polish. The holo rainbow effect is really strong especially in the sun or under artificial light.

Also my mani with nail art I posted these before a few years ago but here it is again. Done with stamping and the flowers are selfmade water decals.

Like I said you can enter on their website but for more entries you can also enter here. I don't have twitter so this is the twitter account from Nail Polish Canada. But like me on facebook for an extra entry. And make sure to check out all the polishes and enter on other blogs too.

a Rafflecopter giveaway
I am not really sure if this is only for US/Canadian residents or for US/Canadian addresses. The last option would mean that if an international person will win they have to provide an US/Canadian address, but most of us nail addicts have friends world wide so that shouldn't be a problem. I asked NPC so if I know the exact anwser I'll let you know.

EDIT: it is only for US/Canadian residents so sorry for everyone who doesn't live in the US or Canada

Have a nice weekend and good luck!

MoYou Nails review: Dinosaur nails

Hi Everyone,

Today I'll show you a mani made with MoYou Nails plates. Or should I say the "other" MoYou with the round plates, also known as OMG nails :)

These 2 plates are my first MoYou nails plates, I have to say I was happily suprised... the quailty of the plates is amazing. I really love the perfect backing, no sharp edges (they reminded me of Konad plates when I look at qualilty and that is a good thing :) ) And they stamp really well too. I had no problems at all. The full nail images are a little narrow/small, 1,8 cm by 1 cm. So the lenght is okay but 1 cm in width might be too small for many people. Luckily my nails are not so width so I could use them as a full nail stamp. But I always find other ways to use them too, like a diagonal sort of french tip stamp or a normal french tip. See pictures below. First lets show the final mani I've made with these plates.

Base is China Glaze OMG A UFO, stamped the full nails and the diagonal french with Konad moss green and MoYou 216. The dinosaurs are from MoYou 66 stamped with Konad black.

Here another picture with different lighting.

And here you can see just the full nail image. As you can see even though it is narrow it still fits my nails (maybe not my middle finger and thumb they are a little wider). You can also see how I used it as sort of a diagonal french tip stamp on the other fingers. I like using stamps in another ways to make them work :) Or use just part of an image.
The full nail image reminded me of animal skin so I thought it went well with the dinosaurs on top.

Here also some swatches of the greenish holo base polish.

I really liked this polish it's an unique color.

MoYou nails send me 2 plates 66 and 216 (my choice) and as you know I prefer single images more then full nail images, but I thought it would be nice to show you 2 different plates from them. So I chose a plate with single images and one with full nail images (also great for layering) to have more options and show you different kind of mani's.
I also received their stamper and plastic scraper. The stamper stamps great and needed no buffing. I know many people love squishy stampers but my favorite is still the Konad double ended stamper. And this stamper reminded me of that stamper. I like a little firm stamper for good placement. For stamping full nails a more softer stamper sometimes is easier, but still I did not had any problems with it. You just have to roll the image from left to right (or the other way around ;) ) I have tried several plastic scrapers but I always still love my metal scrapers. Though for a plastic scraper this one really wasn't bad :) (maybe my favorite plastic one). But that is just all personal preferences. I guess after so many years I am just used to my metal ones despite the fact they leave small scratches on the plates.

In the catalogue you can see all their plates and the sets they sell. It's fun to have so I can easily watch all the images. And I'v read they will release some more plates soon. Make sure to check out their facebook page too for any news/updates.

Here also a pictures of the 2 plates.

I already have a few other ideas for these plates, so expect some more mani's from me with these soon too ;) (I really love the Dachshund since my sister has one).

I don't have instagram or twitter but I thought lets share MoYou's instagram and twitter account for those of you who do have that ;)

*Even though I received these plates for a review I doesn't affect my opinion.

Thank you so much for reading.

Have a nice weekend!

Balloons and gradient stamping

Hi Everyone,

I did this last week when I cut my nails. The challenge is a group was gradient stamping, the challenge in another group was postive/negative stamping and the challenge from BM that day was balloons. So I did all 3 in one mani.

Base Orly Goth, gradient stamped with BM310 and 3 colors Konad SN white and 2 self made mix. Later stamped the balloons from BM H20 and Konad SN black.

And some pictures before I stamped the balloons.

Some swatches of the base. Love the black with silver tiny glitter.

Thanks for reading. Next blog will be World Cup nails. Are you making World Cup nails to support your country?

Origami birds with the new Stampaholics ST04 plate

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a very happy Summer mani and pedi to show you. And my review about the the new Stampaholics ST04 plate that I used to make these. I received that plate this week and had to use it immediately. I think it is such a lovely plate. And the weather is really nice here too, so what is better then to stamp my finger and my toe nails :) I always love a matching mani/pedi. First I'll show the nail art picture and at the end the pictures of the plate. So I have a lot of pics for you.

A gradient base with China Glaze Son of a Peach and China Glaze That's Shore Bright. Stamped with Konad SN white the full nail origami image and used Konad SN black for the origami birds (paper cranes).

And here my mani with the matching pedi.

And a picture of both my feet.

Ana from Stampaholics included a little origami paper so I could fold my own paper crane. My peace crane will get a nice place in my nail room :)

Also a picture of just the full nail stamping.

And some pics of the gradient base.

I really love these colors together.

Ofcourse I also have swatches of just the base color China Glaze Son of a Peach.

I really like this color, I did needed lots of coats to even it out and make it opague but it dries really fast so that wasn't a problem.

Now some pictures of the 4th Stampaholics plate 1000 paper cranes.

Here is the story she posted together with this promo picture.

1000 paper cranes Sadako Sasaki was two years old when the bomb was dropped on her home city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Sadako seemed to escape any ill effects after her exposure to the bomb, until, ten years later, she developed leukemia, "the atom bomb disease."
When she was in the hospital, her friend Chizuko brought her a folded paper crane and told her the story about it. According to Japanese legend, the crane lives for a thousand years, and a sick person who folds a thousand cranes will become well again.
Sadako folded cranes throughout her illness. The flock hung above her bed on strings. When she died at the age of twelve, Sadako had folded six hundred and forty-four cranes. Classmates folded the remaining three hundred and fifty-six cranes, so that one thousand were buried with Sadako. In 1958, with contributions from school children, a statue was erected in Hiroshima Peace Park, dedicated to Sadako and to all children who were killed by the atom bomb.

Each year on August 6, Peace Day, thousands of paper cranes are placed beneath Sadako's statue by people who wish to remember Hiroshima and express their hopes for a peaceful world. Their prayer is engraved on the base of the statue: This is our cry, this is our prayer; Peace in the world "Peace Crane, I will write peace on your wings and you will fly all over the world." Sadako Sasaki, age 12

Look at all those cute images ^_^

And some quick paper swacthes.
Just like the other ST plates I love this one too. I love that is has full nail images (2,0 cm by 1,5 cm) and single images. And it stamps great.

You can order this plate by sending her a mesage on her facebook Stampaholics or visiting her store

Thanks for reading!

Have a nice weekend.

In the Mood Ditsy with Messy Mansion lace and BPS rhinestones

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I had some money to spend on nail goodies :) And I really wanted some Messy Mansion plates. There plates are amazing and I only had one and that one was lonely haha. One of the plates I ordered was MM44 the new lace plate. Ofcourse when I got it I had to play with it :) Also the challenge last Sunday in AIS was over a pink base so lace over a pink base it is :) I also got the free rhinestone wheel from Born Pretty Store (some weeks ago if you shared the info and pic about their new rhinestone wheels, you could get a free wheel and I received it) I used some of these too, more about that wheel below.

I love mood polishes and In The Mood Ditsy was still one of my untrieds, and I thought how cool would the color changing look under the lace. They I have dark pink nail with white lace when my hands are cold and light pink when there are warm. It sure makes doing the dishes more fun :)

Well let's show you all the pictures (I took a lot cause it is so much fun to play with water and mood /thermal polishes).

First some pics of the final mani.
Base In the mood Ditsy (a mood/thermal polish that changes from darker to lighter pink). Stamped with Messy Mansion M44 and Konad SN white and added some rhinestones from BPS. Here you can see my tips are a little darker then the rest.

And a pic of my entire hand.

Playing with warm and cold water (ring finger and index are warm and pinkie and middle finger are cold).

And some more playing with water pictures before I added the rhinestones.

Cold

Normal warm nail bed cold tips.

Pinkie and middle finger cold, ring finger and index warm.

And some swatches of this mood polish.

Warm nailbeds and cold tips

Index and ring finger cold and middle finger and pinkie warm.

Cold

This is how it look like "normal" most of the time, not completely warm nail beds but you do see a subtle gradient.

And here my nails are warm.

And a wheel with the rest of my InTheMood polishes :)

Also a little review about the Born Pretty Store rhinestone wheel I received. When I first opened the envelop I was confused since I could not see how to open the wheel. It wasn't like the other wheels I have.

Normally you turn it until the opening is above one part of the box but as you can see there isn't an opening ;)
So I fugured it had to be a sliding system, but it was hard to actually slide it (I did manage to slide it open though) When my boyfriend came home I gave him the wheel and asked him how do you open it haha. At first he was like what? And also looked a little strange and looked closer and said slide it but also could not get it to slide open at first. The postive thing about it is it closes really well, you don't have to be afraid it might accidently slide open .

What I don't like about this kind of wheel that when it is finally open all the little boxes are open too not just one piece. So if you knock it of your table you have a lot of picking up to do :P instead of usually only one box.
But the quality if the rhinestones are really good, sometimes when you put topcoat on it they loose their shine but that did not happen. And they stayed well on my nails only using topcoat to apply them.

So while this kind of wheel is a little unusual to me and do like the stones. And thank you BPS for sending all those people a free wheel.

Thank you all for reading/watching :)
