Valentine's Day ideas part 5

Today a dark, simple but also romantic creation. Some how I find the colors together romantic
Base color is Catrice Wine-tastic a really dark almost black color with fine red shimmer in it. I stamped with P2 LE Sun Love 020 Summer Affair and Konad imageplate M78. I found that image a bit small for my nails so I stamped some more hearts on the top of my nail :) Photo with flash.

Let's go back to the love, that is so much nicer then the fuss in my previous blog ;) (thanks everyone for the sweet words ♥ ) For today another love creation this time a purple one with lots of hearts.
As a base I'm wearing China Glaze LOL from the OMG collection, a lovely purple holo. Stamped with Konad SN pastel violet, pastel pink, pastel blue and white. Used imageplates: M2, M3, M4, M18, M34, M42, M47, M59 en BM02. Cupid is pointing his arrow to a purple fabric heart. Photo with flash under artificial light.

Where is the respect?

Normally I don't blog about something like this, but it really bothers me so I just have to do this. You know I entered the Challenge Show us your country on Parokeets. I had a lot of fun making that creation, but my joy is totally gone now.

Some people are saying in the comment that they are really disappointed with my entry because I used decals and the free hand painting isn't appreciated anymore. It kind of makes me angry because by saying that they suggest I don't appreciate that by entering with a decal and Konad creation instead of free hand painting. But I respect them all and everyone did their best. It wasn't in the rules that it has to be hand painted :(

My entry:
Here you can see the rest, read the comment and vote in the poll at the right:

This is what I wrote in the comments there:
Sorry if I did something wrong I thought the challenge was to show your country with a mani or/and make up. Never knew it had to be hand painted. I carefully picked out some images that show you my country and made my own water decals of it and used Konad. Thought it was a nice way of showing my country (and t it would be fun to learn more about different country’s) guess some readers here don’t appreciate that. I takes time to make your own decals and on request of some people I blogged about it, why are people interest in how I make them if they can only criticize the use of it?

But I found it no need to talk about free hand isn’t appreciated, now you made it look like I don’t appreciate them but I love all their creations and respect them. Everyone did their best, what happend to respect and leave people for what they are?

Didn’t want to make such a fuss with my creation, guess I should withdraw myself?

Maybe nextime you can say in the rules that decals and Konad isn’t allowed and it is for only free hand painting? Instead the readers take it out on someone :(

Sorry that this had to be on your blog Parokeet ladies, it’s clear to me that my kind of nail art isn’t welcome so I know not the enter anymore.

But I’m really disappointed that people can’t have respect even if you don’t like what you see.
( I removed my big typing mistakes ;))

I started this blog because I love doing my nails and wanted to share it with others (also outside the Netherlands) I love stamping and making and using my self made water decals. But I guess it really isn't appreciated in "blog country" and only really free hand artists deserve respect for what they're doing. I do respect them I respect them a lot and found it amazing what they can paint. But I also respect people who use stamping, stickers, decals etc.

Everyone loves what they are doing if it's by hand or stamping so why don't respect the love they have for it. There is nothing wrong with some criticism, but I think especially in a challenge or contest just don't say anything if you can't say something nice. Everyone does their best in what they like and want to do....just respect that even if you don't like what you see!

Valentine's Day ideas part 3

Today I have an older creation to show you, although this is from February 2009 I still like it. This was the first time I used Konad Sponge nail art.

I sponged the base with Konad SN pastel pink, white and pastel Violet. On top of the sponging I did some rainbow glitter.  I've used imageplates M2, M3 and M59. Stamped with Konad SN violet pearl, pink pearl and an old  dark pink polish with no name. On my middle finger I have some pink heartshaped rhinestones.

Photo without the rhinestones.

Here a photo of just the sponged base with glitter.

Will you vote for me at Parokeets for the this photo?

I'm from Holland, can you tell?

For the Show us your country challenge on Parokeets I have made some typical Dutch nails :)
My inspiration were the typical things that are used to make my country recognizable for foreign people, the images that are used on postcards or you can see in souvenir shops. So I made my own water decals of those things.

My country is well known for their cheese so I have a piece of cheese on my pinkie. On my ring finger I have a farmer girl in traditinal clothing on wooden shoes holding a mill. A lot of foreign people think that everyone in my country walks on wooden shoes (clogs) but it is just a part of the old fashioned traditional clothing, of course there are still people who walk on wooden shoes, but that is mostly in the country life. My country is also famous for their tulips, so I have wooden shoes and a red tulip on my middle finger. On my index finger I have a mill, that is also something that can't be missing. My thumb has a black and white cow on it. You can identify my country by these five things, they all have a connection. You often see them together on photo's or postcards. Then you see a scenery of tulips with cows, mills and farmer people on wooden shoes. And the milk from the cows is used to make cheese.

On the tip of my nails I've stamped the colors of my coutry's flag. Konad SN blue, red and M44. The base is OPI Alpine Snow with a layer of P2 Divine.

So this is my way to show you my country ;)

Can you tell by looking only at my nails that I'm from Holland?

Kaleidoscope Him Out with nail art

Like I said in my previous blog, I had this polish on my nails during my holiday to Greece, the island Samos. I love wearing holographic polishes on my holiday because they are just so pretty in the sun. And I can stare at my nails the whole day.

Here you can see my holiday summer creation I've made this in October 2009.

Look at the view :) I used M27 for the SN blue pearl seahorses, and the same plate for the SN psyche pink fishes. I only had mini bottles with me so I mixed blue pearl en yellow the create green for the seaweed imageplate M32.

Here you can see the nail art better ;)

On my thumb I also have a self made water decal of a starfish. I love this picture with the shell in my hand. It totally doesn't look misplaced in my holiday photo album ;)

China Glaze Kaleidoscope week: Kaleidoscope Him Out

This is my last swatch of the Kaleidoscope collection, the 3 colors I haven't worn I will show you as soon as I wear them ;) This is a very nice light blue, the photo is from October 2009 made it on my holiday in Greece (Samos).
You can see part of the palm tree in the background. Photo with flash.
