Also took some pictures of my nails in Amsterdam and at the beach in Zandvoort.
Thought it was fun took take a pic with a van Gogh painting since he was also on my nails.

Liberation Day 2015

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for not blogging very often, I promise to do it more again. Things just have been kinda busy and I 've been sick. But I still have lots and lots of mani's to show you, like a couple of Rock 'n' Roll mani's, mani's with my first Mundo polishes, mani's with a couple of my new MoYou nails plates (the round ones), also some with my first Chez Delaney plates and lots more ;) And ofcourse I also still have many older mani's to show from before I started blogging.

I have been posting more on my instagram: https://instagram.com/dianavnisselroy/

Today May 4th  is remembrance of the dead and tomorrow May 5th we celebrate Liberation Day with lots of music festivals across the country. Ofcourse I had to make a mani. And I'll be going to one of the music festivals, there is one in every county/province. It is always fun to celebrate our freedom with some amazing free live music. Lots of great bands/artists are coming.

Base is Sinful Colors Black on Black. With the flames representing the liberation fire (FUN7), the stripes in the colors of the Dutch flag red white and blue (Konad M44), the words 'free' and 'music' cause we have our freedom and can celebrate and enjoy it by listen to music or express yourself through music (MoYou 115) and the guitar cause I love listen to live music and will be going to the Liberation festival tomorrow (Cheeky Jumbo 5 Musical nails). All stamped using Mundo polishes.

Kings Day 2015

Hi Everyone,

Last Monday the 27th was Kings Day (I still want to say Queens Day lol) been so used to say that. Sunday night it was Kings night...that usually means a night full of parties!!! And Monday it was Kings Day (fleamarkets, live music etc). I was not feeling 100% but did went to a local bar to see some live music.

Instead of a bright orange base like I usually do I went with a black base (now that I have Mundo polishes that stamp great over black haha) :) And ofcourse did used orange our national color and the colors of our red, white and blue flag. Some Dutch mills, little crowns, tulips and ofcourse beer wink-;)

I used Winstonia Store W105 for the beer, W215 for part of the crowns and W218 for the mills. Stamped with Mundo de Uñas 28 neon orange, 51 tulip mixed with Konad red, 1 white, 30 neon blue mixed with 5 turquoise, 18 silver and 46 mustard. The base is Sinful Colors Black on Black.

I'm from The Netherlands

Hi Everyone,

As you all know I am from The Netherlands also known as Holland. There was a challenge on IG to represent your heritage with nail art. So today I have some Dutch nails for you.

Orange is our national color so I chose a light orange base: Lime Crime Peaches ♥ Cream. I thought it was fun to show some typical Dutch things...things people think about when they envision Holland.

Ofcourse my country is known for it's cheese (pinkie), everyone here rides a bicycle and there are mills (ring finger), Heineken is a Dutch beer brand and we love to drink beer (middle finger), stroop wafels are famous Dutch cookies with caramel (index), a blonde (somehow people often think the Dutch are all blonde) girl with old fashioned Dutch clothing and tullips (thumb). Also stamped the tullips at my tips in our red, white and blue flag colors. Images all come from MoYou Tourist 15 plate. I freehanded the tiny Dutch flags.

This was so much fun too do.

World Cup: Proud of the Dutch Lions

Hi Everyone,

Even though we did not made it to the Final I am still proud of the Dutch team. In the beginning nobody thought we would make it this far (most people thought we would not make it pass the first round). Tonight they play for the 3rd and 4th place against Brazil. So this is my last World Cup mani. I am proud of the Dutch Lions in Brazil :)

Base Sinful Colors Snow me white and P2 divine (white shimmer). Stamped the thumbs up from FUN2, the Brazil heart from Moyou Tourist 14, the orange lion from Moyou Fairytale 12, the soccer/ foot balls from Winstonia W103, the flags from Konad M49, the lines from Nailways Back to Basics - Lines, the letters VS from Nailways Back to Basics 123ABC. And some red, white and blue dots made with a dotting tool.

I do hope we win ofcourse but I also find it okay if Brazil wins ;)

Have a nice weekend!

World Cup: We are on fire :)

Hi Everyone,

In one of the facebook groups the challenge this week is Caviar Beads. I have lots of them but don't use them much, so it was actually fun that this challenge was picked for this week...I had to use them again. I am also still in the World Cup mood so I had to combine the beads with a World Cup mani :)

I did not really liked this and removed it right away.

Catrice Orango Bloom (and a white on my ring finger) stamped the flames in the colors of our flag (red, white, blue) from Bundle Monster BM312 and the soccer/foot ball is from Winstonia Store W103. Double stamped....first in white and colored it white then stamped over it with black.

And some more pictures with different lighting.

Ofcourse I have a The Netherlands - Costa Rica World Cup mani planned for tomorrow :)

Thanks for reading.

Terschelling, World Cup and Oerol festival

Hi Everyone,

As many of you know I love going to Terschelling, one of the Dutch Wadden Island. I love the nature and feeling there, it always feels like home when I am there. We used to go there when we were little too. Every in June there is the Oerol festival there, this means music, theater, plays etc. There are sooo many people on the island and and it is always fun. This year we are also there and just like other years I wanted to do a Terschelling scenery but the World Cup is also now and I also always love to do something for that too....so I combined those things...

Terschelling is turning orange for the World Cup during the Oerol festival...with soccer balls all over the island and a beautiful orange sunset sky ;)

Holo base using many holo's from Golden Rose Paris, DA, Catherine Arley, Nail Nation. Self made water decals of the seagull on the pole, the seals, seagull, the lighthouse Brandaris, the flag from Terschelling, the Oerol logo, the boat. Painted the back white on some decals to make them pop. And stamped the soccer balls from Moyou Tourist 14 and Konad M49 first in white then colored them and stamped over the in black, stamped the green grass from Konad M66 and M29, and the flying seagulls are from Stampaholis ST01. Using Konad SN black, green and white.

Another picture with different light.

Also did a pedi ofcourse. Base Impala Tech with Hits Demeter (both Brazilian brands so hopefully they will bring us luck in Brazil ;)) The soccer balls from Konad M49 and self made water decals from the Terschelling flag and Oerol logo.

And my hand with my toes together. A bumped my toe while it was still wet so the ball is not round anymore haha, tried to fix it.

I usually also post some pictures of our vacation there. But I will do that in another post since I planned this post, and I haven't been on the computer since my vacation so those pictures aren't on the computer yet.

Thanks for reading.

World Cup 2014

Hi Everyone,

Here my World Cup nails for this year. Will do more ofcourse so hopefully we make it passed the first round ;) I did these earlier last week before I cut my nails. I needed them long to do this ;) And that night the Dutch team was playing their last friendly practise game, so it was fun to watch with orange nails :) Now I won't have much time to do my nails.

Base a gradient with China Glaze Son of a Peach and Impala Tech. Made some stamping decals and layered the stamping decals and stamping too. World Cup from MJ XXIV test plate stamping using multiple colors and layered it over a white image, cause otherwise the colors would not show up well. The Dutch flag is stamped with Konad M44 stamped all the lines seperately. The stadium, Rio and the Brazil flag heart are from Moyou Tourist 14. The smaller ball and World Cup from Konad M49 and the bigger soccer ball is from Konad M52. Used Konad SN black, white, red, blue, yellow and green.

And some more pictures.

It was really hard to scrape and not blend the colors on the world cup and the grass in the stadium and later adding a stamping decal of the little ball on top, but at the end I really liked this soccer/footbal mani.

And some pictures of the gradient base.

I really liked this orange gradient base.

Are you making World Cup nails? If you want to see more you can always search here for previous World Cup/ European Cup nails.

Tonight our Dutch team will play against Spain..so we need all the luck we can get haha.

Have a great weekend!

Kingsday (Koningsdag)

Hi Everyone,

This weekend we celebrated our first Kingsday formerly known as Queensday/Q-day here in Holland. So that meant ofcourse Dutch nails.

Orange is our national color so a really bright neon orange base (hard to capture), red/white/blue tulips in the colors of our flag. The crowns because it is Kingsday and a mill for that little extra Dutch touch hahah.

I love orange but not in combination with red/white/blue. But still I do it every year to support my country.

Base Impala Tech over China Glaze FYI, stamped with Konad SN black, SN red, SN white and SN blue and Winstonia W215 and W218.

Some more pics with different lighting.

They were really bright orange, I loved how bright there were.

I guess I'll be doing more orange nails with red/white/blue this Summer during the World Cup soccer.

Thanks for reading.

Doekie...the seal

Hi Everyone,

Last weekend we went to Vlieland (a Dutch Wadden Island) for a day. I had some day trip tickets. As you may know I love Terschelling (other island) and we often go there, so with these tickets we decided to go the a other island. I have been there when I was a little girl, but could not remember anything from it. It was a beautiful Spring day and we enjoyed the nature and silence, had fun biking/walking on the island.

I really wanted to do the logo from the boat company on my nails. It is Doekie the seal...always loved him ever since I was a little girl.

Base Catrrice Luxury Lacquers LE C02 Mailiblue (sand polish) and on my index a white P2 Ship Ahoi! 01 Pure white. Stamped the French tip with Konad M56 and P2 Gigantic. The rest is stamped with Konad White and Moyou Sailor 07. And a self made water decal of the seal “Doekie” it is the logo from a boat company .

And some more pictures with the logo or the beach scenery on Vlieland.

And a collage from Doekie :)

And some nature pictures of Vlieland :)

Thanks for reading/watching.

Have a lovely day :)

Olympics Sochi 2014

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to make a Olympic mani to support my country :) Ofcourse I had to use orange (our national color) and our Dutch flag and since the Dutchies are very good at speed ice skating I had to do something with ice skates but since I don't own any of those images I had to improvise LOL (see details below).

Base Barry M multiglitter 333 and a sponged accent nail in the Olympic colors (Konad SN blue, SN yellow, SN green and SN red). Konad SN white sponged tips and sponged over that with Konad PSN psyche orange.  Stamped the Sochi Olympic logo from MJ XXIV tester plate in Konad SN black. Stamped the rest with Konad SN white. Made the medal with the part of the pink ribbon image on FUN1 and Cheeky CH48 using Essence A Piece of Forever. For the ice skating guy I used part of an image on MJ XXIV tester plate and gave him skates using a dotting tool and part of the helicopter image on FUN1. I also did not had a big ice skate so I used the roller skate on MJ XXV removed the wheels and again used a dotting tool and stamped part of the helicopter from FUN1 to make it look like an ice skate haha :)The cheering guy is from MJ XXIV tester plate too. Made the Dutch flag with stripes from FUN7 stamping them all seperately using Konad SN red, SN white and SN blue.

I find it fun to look at the plates I do have trying to think of what I can use to make a certain image...always very challenging. The result ain't perfect but it was still fun to do :)

Our small country already won 12 medals with ice skating.

Ho Ho Ho Santa's Sleigh :)

Hi Everyone,

Last weekend we suddenly went to Terschelling for one day and night :) My sis is on holiday there now and we went to visit. So nice to see the island in the winter, I love it there it feels like home. I always feel good there, breathing the fresh air. See pictures of our little one day trip at the end of this post. Of course I first have to share my Santa Sleigh mani :)

I wanted to do this mani, ever since I got the Moyou Festive (aka Christmas) 01 plate. The Santa or the reindeer were to width for my pinkie (tried it) so I had to think of something else. And decided to spread it also on my thumb :) I was very happy with how this mani turned out. Still have this on my nails :)

Gradient sponged base with Konad SN white, SN pastel blue and SN sky pearl. Stamped with Moyou Festive (aka Christmas) 01 (reindeers, Santa and sleigh, North Pole, snowman) and Moyou Mother Nature (aka Landscape) 06 (the trees) And added white snow dots, black eyes and hooves and Rudolphs red nose with a dotting tool. Used Konad SN black, SN red, SN brown, SN green and SN white for stamping/coloring and dotting.

Stamped with multiple colors the North Pole (red and black) and Santa in his sleigh (red, green and black) scraped really carefully so it wouldn't blend much, then I colored the white while the image was on the stamper, added a layer of topcoat over it, let it dry, peeled it off and placed it on my nails. Also made a stamping decal of the snowman, colored with white and red while the image was on the stamper.

I posted these nails friday in a nail group on facebook then I saw I forgot part of the black reins on my index...see picture below. As soon as I saw this I had to stamp it haha.

I mirror stamped my right hand (the reindeer and Santa sleigh) I used my squishy stamper to pick up the image then stamped it on my Konad stamped and then on my nails....you have to be fast but it works for me :)

And a picture of the gradient sponged base.

And a picture of my nails under the Brandaris (the lighthouse on Terschelling).

Like I said we went to Terschelling for one day here some more pics.
 On the boat....beautiful blue sky.

We saw some seals on the way there.

The town was decorated with Christmas lights.

Watching the sunset from observation post.

See the sun disappear in the sea.

The moon shining above the harbour.

My sis and I in the harbour.

 The famous statue.

The next morning view over the Green Beach <3

 I love walking there.
Yoshi in the forest.

 My boyfriend and I.

 The seagulls on the poles.

Drinking hot choco in the Walvis (the whale) with a preet view. (also loved all the Christmas ornaments)

Waving my sis and Yoshi goodbye cause she still has almost a week on the island left.

It was a fun 24 hours there, we did a lot, shopping, watching the sunset, going the a small christmas fair, walking in the harbour, going out for dinner, relaxing, going out dancing between the local young people haha, sleeping (not too long), walking in the dunes, forest, beach, drink hot choco...too much for just 24 hours haha.

Thank you for reading...still have plenty more Christmas nails idea, but don't want to take this off ;)
