Here another Halloween mani I did for the Bundle Monster challenge. The theme was Witchy Woman.
Dry brush base with many blue polishes from Seventeen and also MdU stamping polishes. Painted the moon and stars with MdU Yellow. Stamped with MdU black the witch is from Bundle Monster BM13 and the trees are from BM407.
Remember the black cat on the wall mani I've showed you last week? Well I changed that mani later. I felt like something was missing and also the challenge from Bundle Monster was werewolves. So I decided to remove the kitty and add a wolf ;) And I also added some stars in the night sky.
Base Seventeen 545 (kinda has a suede look to it). Stamped with Konad SN yellow the peace sign from BM320 so I could color it and it could be my moon (see I do combine stamping with a little freehand haha). Used Konad SN pastel orange (this isn't really a pastel) to color part of my nail and stamped over it with BM422 in black to make it look like a brick wall. The SN Konad yellow and silver stars are from BM14 and the black wolf is from plate LLC10.
Today one of my Halloween themed mani's I've made this week. I made a couple of them I love Halloween themed mani's. I wish Halloween was a real holiday here too :) Julep contacted me and asked me if I wanted to participate with their Halloween challenge...and I said yes cause always love a challenge and especially when it is a fun theme. I don't own any Julep polish since it isn't easy for me to get, but ofcourse I've seen their polishes on blogs and facebook of my fellow nail addicts :)
They send me a Halloween nail art tutorial....we all know my freehand skills aren't that great. And I have many other Halloween ideas but I thought it was fun to do a stamping mani based on their freehand tutorial..since I am a stamping girl ;) It isn't my most favorite Halloween mani I did but it was fun to do and I did gave my own spin to it...they used a fence and I made it a wall ;)
First I'll show you my mani and then I'll share Julep's tutorial with you. I would love to see your version of it if you decide to make it :)
I needed to use a blue for the night sky color, I could have used a darker more midnight blue but I wanted to use my new polish from the Greek brand Seventeen that I bought on my vacation there ;) It is opaque in one coat so that is nice and it also stamps, so win win. Will show swatches at the end of this post.
Now here is my mani.
Base Seventeen 545 (kinda has a suede look to it). Stamped with Konad SN yellow the peace sign from BM320 so I could color it and it could be my moon (see I do combine stamping with a little freehand :P haha). Used Konad SN pastel orange (this isn't really a pastel) to color part of my nail and stamped over it with BM422 in black to make it look like a brick wall. The black cat is from Nailways Darker Period- Halloween.
Here the tutorial from Julep.
You have to zoom the read so to make it easier for you a cut it in pieces so you can easily see the steps.
You can see all of Julep's nail polish colors online.
Like I said if you make this look please let me know I would love to see :)
Here as promised some swatches of my new Seventeen polish. I only used one coat for this.
I really like this brand and every time when I am in Greece I have to buy at least one polish :)
I almost forgot to blog about this today...but if I hurry I will post it before midnight here ;) So it will still be April 11th World Parkinson's Day. I did a mani with the blue ribbon and the red tulips that are the symbols for World Parkinson's Day.
It was hard to capture because of the metallic polish :( So sorry not the greatest picture and only one.
Base Seventeen 523. Stamped the full nail windy clouds with China Glaze Sci-Fi and BM 312. The tulips are from FUN4 stamped with Konad SN red and SN green and the ribbon is from BM 321 stamped with Konad SN blue pearl.
And a swatch pic of the metallic base. This is also a great stamping polish. Got this a few years ago in Greece.
Thanks for reading/watching since I haven't typed much haha.
I am soo behind with showing my nails...still have Halloween nails to show you haha. But for today something I did last week.I broke one nail, so I decided to make them all shorter :) Haven't had them this short in a while, the older Konad full nails even fit now haha :)
You know when I showed you all the ST02 Halloween mani's I also told you about ST03 the 3rd Stampaholics plate, well I now finally used that plate too. And I love it. I really like all the full nail patterns and so many on one single plate too, together with some nice words stamps. And the full nail sizes are big 2cm length and 1,5cm width.
I used a pretty duochrome for the base or maybe it even is a multichrome it switches from purple to gold but also has a bit of blue/green in it. I got this polish last year on holiday in Greece from my boyfriend. Seventeen is a Greek brand that I really like. I used to buy one or 2 every year when we were in Greece too bad we did not went this year :( I really miss the warmth and beauty of the Greek islands.
I have made a lot of pics cause the duochrome and stamping is so difficult to capture.
Seventeen 539 (very pretty duochrome polish :) ) stamped with Stampaholics ST03 and Essence a piece of forever.
And some swatches of this polish, again a lot of pics cause it looks different is all kinds of lights.
Here you can see all the colors in the bottle.
I really really love this polish and also this plate.
A picture of the plate.
And a scanned picture of the plate.
You can buy ST plates on her facebook page Stampaholics by sending her a pm or emailing her.
Yesterday we celebrated Liberation Day here in Holland. There were 14 Liberation festival across the country (at least one in each of our 12 province/counities), with lots of stages with bands, music, drinks, food...one big party. The logo of the Liberation fesitval is a blue torch with red flame. I wanted to make decals of it but since a couple of months our printer is still broken...so I had to think of something else ;)
The blue base is my first franken a mix of lots of polishes and on my ring finger P2Ship Ahoi! 010 Pure White. Like I said the logo is a liberation fire/torch. So I made some sort of torch with BM07 (Konad SN red, yellow, black0 and the tower from BM15 (SN blue) upside down haha, the other flames are from Konad M63 (SN white).
Here a swatch of my first dark blue holo franken. Waht I remember they were: 3 blue ones from China Glaze (dark blues Up all night and a other one and a neon from the Poolside collection), China Glaze Sexagon, Catrice topcoat Million styles topcoat 08 Icy day (China Glaze fairy dust dupe), China Glaze wireless holographic topcoat, P2 topcoat, a dark blue from Seventeen, a dark blue metallic like from Flormar, Color Club worth the risque, and loose silver holo glitter powder (not spectraflair).
It's in a empty Konad topcoat bottle I don't have any empty bottles and little balls for shaking so all the glitter went to the bottom. I made this a few months ago.
Thank you for all the sweet, kind, lovely words for me, my family and especially my mom :) I find it soo sweet ♥ and it means a lot to me!
A few months ago I won 1 minute free shopping at Kruidvat (our local drugstore) First I thought it was a joke and I emailed them asking if it was real ;) I kept thinking it was a joke even when we went there by bike. I did not want to go alone so my dad went with me. It was not in my own town but a 45 minute bike trip (we don't have a car ;) ) I had to be there at 8.00 in the morning so it was a nice early morning trip for me and my dad...ofcourse the rest of the stores were closed so I kept saying it was fake hahaha.
It was not like one minute free shopping like you see on tv...just throw everything in it. There were a lot of rules... you could only pick one piece of each product, you could only pick 4 pieces of make up and facial care (that was for me a reason not to go there because it was on the otherside of the store and it would have cost me half a minute to get there), you had to start in the aisle with the deo and shampoo, no electronica, one perfume for him and her and some more rules.
Here you can see some pictures of me and my free shopping stash, I also have some movies but those are horrible ;) You can see me really nervous, talking weird and stuff (I'm still feel embarrassed when I see those)
Here you see me at the end with all my goodies :) I had to show everything so Kruidvat could take some pictures for their facebook ;)
I had to grab those Hello Kitty and Cars pillows, Kitty for my big sister and Cars for my boyfriend ;)
I'm standing in front of the store waiting, and hoping that I see people inside so it wasn't a joke ;)
Before the minute started I was talking to the girls about my stategy.
Here you see me with my full basket after the minute.
When I had only 5 seconds left I ran to the Kitty and Cars pillows I also fell because the floor was very slippery and I was running fast ;) (normally I wear heals, I was so happy that I managed to find my yellow Puma shoes) Luckily you can't see on the movies that I fell, otherwise everyone could see that on youtube.
Showing all the goodies :)
The total amount of my goodies....259,55 euros.
Posing with the entire Kruidvat team of that store and my new stuff.
Back home at my mom and dads place, showing all the goodies on the table for my mom.
The results of one minute free shopping :)
- 1 big Hello Kitty pillow
- 1 big Cars pillow
- Meccano radio controlled car (you can build it in 2 models
- 2 kinds of Oral B toothbrushes
- Oral B electric toothbrush
- 2 kinds of John Frieda foam hair dye
- 8 Dove deodorants (2 for men)
- 4 Dove shower gels
- 4 Guhl products (mask, shampoo, leave-in spray, conditioner)
- The new Gliss Kur collection (hairmask, repair spray, oil, conditioner, shampoo)
- 2 Gliss Kur products (shampoo and shine spray)
- 5 Kneipp shampoo and 1 conditioner
The first one made my dad and the second one is from Kruidvat:
Shame shame shame shame shame on me ;)
During this one minute shopping I had a crackling creation on my nails. I cutted my nails, so I could grab everything better :P
Base Seventeen (Greek brand) 492 with P2 crackling 020 blue thunder. I also stamped a white four leaf clover on my ring finger for good luck (not just for te one minute shopping but most of all for my mom) I forgot to take a picture of that
I made this a few weeks ago. The day my mom got the results of the surgery and tests she had, to find out if she had cancer or not. I actually wanted to do something with thumbs up or praying hands but I did not have anything like that so I used these hands....some sort of helping hands for her ;) Unfortunately we got some bad news :( my mom has a really rare kind of lymphoma cancer/ lymph leukemia. I don't know the exact words for it in English, in Dutch it is already difficult to explain ;) But it is quite rare the kind she has :( We are still waiting for some more test results (we will hear that June 20th one day before my birthday) and then hopefully she will get better with the right kind of chemo therapy. We must stay positive!
Base Beyu 381 a beautiful duochrome dark blue with purple and green glow and silver mini glitter (really difficult to capture with my camera) stamped with a light metallic blue Greek nailpolish from the brand Seventeen, number 523 and imageplate HB16.
Some swatches of Beyu 381 this is one of the polishes I got from Nagelszone / Nailsszone
With flash, you don't see the duochrome in it :(
Without flash under artificial light, here you can see the green glow a little bit.
A bit of blurry photo of the bottle but here you can see the purple and green glow the best.
Last week we went to the beach and I wrote a message in the sand for my mom. I took a photo and sent it to her. With the text: Look a message for you is washed up on the beach ;)
I hope my mom will fight her cancer! Mom (mama) get well soon!
I'm back from my lovely holiday to Chios. The pictures of my creations I made in Greece will come later. I have to sort them out first between the rest of my holiday pics.
First my current creation that I made with Greek polish.
A used Konad plate M67 and I stamped with the same polishes, the jeans blue metallic and the aubergine/eggplant purple shimmer/glitter. On my ringfinger a blue rhinestone (that finger is not so neatly but I messed that finger up, normally this is not one you see the brush strokes so clear, like metallics often have)
I bought 5 Greek nailpolishes these are two of them.
Below a picture of the 5 bottles.
Don't feel like looking up the numbers, but it is a brown one with copper/orange glitter/shimmer, a light green shimmer, a blue shimmer, a jeans blue metallic and a aubergine purple shimmer/glitter.
