Funny .. 15 oldies from 2008 :)

Hi Everyone,

I still can't add photos :( Hope this problem will be solved soon. So I thought lets show a lot of oldies from 2008, when I just started stamping. I have those on a Dutch page of my mine, so I can link them and doesn't have to add new pics, since that isn't possible at the moment unless I first upload them somewhere else.

Back then I was also still struggling with my nails and trying to stop biting them completely. So my nails aren't in the best state, but I find it fun to show you those oldies too :) Although some are ugly hahaha and very bad cuticles and stuff. But it makes me laugh to see those oldies :)

I don't know all the base colors anymore, but I do know the plates I've used.

Stamped with Konad M2 and M9 using PSN gold black, SN whte, SN violet pearl and SN silver.

Konad M31 stamped with PSN cool red, SN yellow, SN green and SN dark orange.

Konad M15 stamped with SN dark orange.

I actually did liked these, and it was a holo from a Essence LE. Stamped with Konad M35 and SN white.

Konad M66 stamped with PSN chocolate, SN pink pearl and PSN light gray.

Konad M24 stamped with SN white.

Konad M8 stamped with PSN psyche pink.

Konad M25 stamped with SN green and PSN gold black.

Koand M24 and SN violet pearl.

Konad M8 stamped with SN pink pearl.

Konad M9 stamped with SN violet pearl.

Konad M24 stamped with SN white.

Koand M15 and SN blue.

Konad M66 stamped with SN blue, SN green and SN violet pearl.

This was actually the first time I took a picture of my nails in the beginning of 2008. But I like these much more then some other ones I made after that hahaha. Also my nail shape looks much better, but sometime I did start biting again, so I guess I did that after these too. Konad M29 stamped with SN green, SN red, SN yellow.

Hope you liked seeing my oldies haha.

Neon Under the Sea Summer nails :)

Hello everyone,

I sooo love making Summer nails, so today another summer mani ;) I also made these for the OC contest, I just can't resist a summer theme ;) It's so much fun. I am not that good in coloring between the lines, but I am happy with the result.

My left hand.
Base is Beauty UK Midnight Minx - black. Stamped with Konad SN black and SN white. Imageplates M21, M24, M27, M29, M33, M34, M35 and M82. Then I colored over the white stamps with different sheer neon stripers from Flormar and SoEasy and polishes. Like I said it not all very neat but I still like it :)

This was my inspiration: a 2 meters wide velvet fan with neon sea life painted on it. It hangs in our bedroom, so I always see it when I go to sleep and wake up :)

This is how I entered the OC contest, everything together in a picture.

Right hand (even less neater :P).

 Hands and feet.

Hand and foot.

Here a swatch of this nice black polish. It really applied great and was in 2 coats opaque.

Still hoping for nice warm sunny weather....next week will be better, sooo they say ;)

Thanks for sending the sun to me last weekend, we kept it dry and also saw the sun. But it did rain a lot before so the beach was flooded, but I danced on bare feet in the puddles :)

Have a nice week.

Essence Metallics (magnetic nailpolish) swatches

Saturday I went shopping in Germany and I saw the Essence Metallics LE collection. I just had to buy them :) A bought them all, and the Essence magnet to create the magnetic effect (I didn't used this magnet for the swatches).
There are 5 colors in this collection: 01 Iron Goddess, 02 Copper Rulez, 03 Steel Me, 04 Nothing Else Metals and 05 Metal Battle. The last one isn't a magnetic polish.

Here you can see them swatched on a wheel. This is the only picture I could take without flash or artificial light.

Swatched on a wheel, photo with artificial light.

I have also some swatches on my own natural nails. I have to say they aren't the best swatches (a did it in a hurry) and it is difficult to take picture of the magnetic effect. It's really dark, grey, rainy outside so I don't have good light. But when I take photo's with flash the flash really reflect in the magnetic effect. So I took them under artificial light without flash. The main thing is you can get an idea of how the polishes are. The colors are quit accurate.

01 Iron Goddess, photo without flash under artificial light. One thick coat.

02 Copper Rulez, photo without flash under artificial light. One thick coat. This is my personal favorite, I think the effect is really showing the best with this color.

03 Steel me, photo without flash under artificial light. One thick coat.

04 Nothing Else Metals, photo without flash under artificial light. One thick coat.

05 Metal Battle, photo with flash under artifical light. I had to take this one with flash so you can see that it isn't just an plain black polish.

I really like these polished but I did'n use the Essence magnet. That magnet is very weak and the effect you create with it is minimal or with some colors not showing at all. It could be me (I saw on Parokeets blog a wheel swatch with that magnet), but I used a strong refrigerator magnet instead. Most magenets create lines and it's up to you how you want them on your nails, vertical, horizantal or like how I did it. This refrigerator magent created lines with a 0,5 cm space between them. The Essence magnet lines are really small probably 0,2 cm space between them as you can see on the picture below.
Pattern with Essence magnet. Like I said I personally find it hard to create a good showing effect with this magnet.

Ofcourse I also had to try some simple Konad on it ;)

If I can get my hands on more of these polishes I might organize a GIVEAWAY with a couple of them. My plan was to have a giveaway when I have 75 or 100 followers but that is going to take a while ;)
