MSMD inspired by Nicky NailsLove

Hi everyone,

The challenge in one of the Facebook groups was Monkey See Monkey Do. I wanted to do a mani from the lovely Nickynailslove I really love her work and she is such a sweet person too. I did not had much time to do a mani so mine version is really quick and not as pretty as hers ;)

I did not used the rhinestones and also did not made it matte. She also used a silver polish, I don't own a silver stamping polish so a used a lavender metallic one.

For the base I used Flormar 47 and on top Orly Royal Navy. I wasn't sure if the Orly polish would be opague enough so did one coat of the Flormar first. Stamped with China Glaze Sci-Fi and used BP-11 for both the images.

Here a close up from just my mani,

And also a swatch picture.

Thanks for reading.

Balloons and gradient stamping

Hi Everyone,

I did this last week when I cut my nails. The challenge is a group was gradient stamping, the challenge in another group was postive/negative stamping and the challenge from BM that day was balloons. So I did all 3 in one mani.

Base Orly Goth, gradient stamped with BM310 and 3 colors Konad SN white and 2 self made mix. Later stamped the balloons from BM H20 and Konad SN black.

And some pictures before I stamped the balloons.

Some swatches of the base. Love the black with silver tiny glitter.

Thanks for reading. Next blog will be World Cup nails. Are you making World Cup nails to support your country?

Flowers and Skull

Hi Everyone,

The challenge in different nail groups this week is Cinco de Mayo...it did another mani for this. Will blog about those next week. But later this week I did these nails and they also have a "Mexican" feeling to it with the sugar skull :) I really like this skull it is one of my favorite Bundle Monster plates.

Orly Basket Case, stamped with Konad SN white and BM 205 for the flowers and added a little pink and yellow color. The skull is from BM 413 stamped with Konad SN black colored with SN white and a little pink and added neon orange studs as eyes.

Here a swatch of the mini Orly Basket Case.

Thanks for reading.

Have a nice weekend.

Orange snowflakes for the World Cup speed ice skating

Hi Everyone,

Saturday I went to the World Cup speed ice skating in the Thialf stadion. And of course I wanted to support our country. So that means doing something orange...since orange is our national color. And red white and blue are the colors of the flag. So I chose do make orange snowflakes/ ice crystals on my nails.

In the back ground you see the stadion. Base is a white from a LE from Essence and on top Orly Gogo (white with fine silver glitter). Stamped with one of Konad's newer stamping polishes SN orange pearl (pretty orange with lots of shimmer and part of the full nail image of BM323. I did not want it to fill my entire nail, because that was too orange ;) Added some red, white and blue dots on my ring finger.

You can really see the shimmer in the stamping polish.

Sunday's challenge on AIS was an aspect of matte so I made them matte with my Essie matte about you topcoat.
I am not a big matte fan, but I kinda liked this matte :)

Also some picture of our fun day at the World Cup speed ice skating.

 Warming up.

The 6 of us :) before it started. My dad, my best friend, another good friend, my sis, me and my boyfriend.

Go to the start....ready...go.

Making the ice smooth.

Family and friends in their orange outfits, the purple scarf and hats we got for free from the sponsor.

Me and my sis, with my funny hat that says "Zet 'm op" that means "Go for it/ Do your best" or something like that :)

Go Holland ;)

All 6 of us together, picture taken by the sponsors photographer for their facebook page, so we had to put the purple scrafs and hats on.

The team pursuit...that the Dutch men won :)

We had a fun day there.

Nail art inspired by my new Havaianas on Orly Fiesta

I got some new Havaianas this weekend, and I was inspired by them to make a nail art creation. Using matching colors and hearts and skulls, because the pattern of my flipflops looks like hearts and heartshaped skulls. So I used hearts and a stamp that looks to me like some sort of skull (with 3 tiny skulls underneath) too ;)

Base Orly Fiesta with Spectraflair 14 topcoat. Stamped with Konad SN black and imageplate BM310 and Konad SN pastel pink and imageplate M3.

Some picture os just my hand.

A swatch of Orly Fiesta with Spectraflair 14 topcoat.

And some swatches of just Orly Fiesta.

I like getting inspiration from thing I see or happen to me, this time it were my new flip flops :)
Have a nice day!

A Romance in Paris ♥

Today some cute lovely nails I made this for a contest on Konad Ireland facebook. The theme was to make romantic nails, and she was going to Paris because of her 10 years anniversary.

As you all know I really like contests/challanges with or without prizes ;) especially since my mom died. I just love making something in a specific theme :) Doing me nails is still one of the things I like to do and it gives me distraction. When I am busy thinking of a creation or painting and stamping I just finally think of something else then missing my mom (and pets).

I thought of a Romance in Paris with kisses, the Eiffel tower, love, diamonds (jewelry) and a good glass of wine *cheers* and ofcourse lots of roses ;)

The Eiffel tower is a self made water decal, the rest is all stamped with M3, M4, M14, M18, M35, M38, M53, M59 even the word Paris is stamped from the patent and copyright letters that are engraved at the bottom of the big Konad demo plate :)

(I still can't print new decals (printer is broken) but I made these for over a year ago and they came in handy now ;))

For stamping I used Konad SN black and SN white, Opi Rosy-mistletoe-sies for the hearts and kisses and stuff and China Glaze TMI for the subtle holo pink roses.

The base is Orly Cotton Candy, see swatch below:
It still looks a bit sheer on some spots but that wasn't really the case in real life.

Have a nice week :) I still have a lot to show you guys so I think a might blog more often ;)

Carnival Bunny nails

Last weekend I celebrated Carnival....my outfit was totally wrong ;) I was a "sexy" sort of playboy bunny. And my motto was: Who says playboy bunny's have to be pretty, skinny and blonde....? Why can't it be a plus size brunette ;) haha. No this is bullshit it wasn't my motto, I did say something like that but it was more to give me some self-convidence and courage to go out. I can be really insecure and I'm not this pretty skinny girl, and I often call myself fat but that is just me always negative about who I am and what I look like :P The important thing was I got my outfit from my boyfriend and he liked the way I looked. And during Carnival everbody can be something/someone else ;) And it wasn't even that sexy because I wore a lot of clothes over/ under it, so hardly any skin was showing ;) and the bunny dress was knee length.  But for me it felt wrong but also fun...I know I doesn't make sense right? But most important is that we had a lot of fun :)

Anyway I love matching nails with outfits so I made bunny nails.
Base OPI Alpine Snow with one coat of Orly Gogo for the silver small glitters. French made of Golden Rose Magic Paris color 321. I stamped small bunny feet with Konad SN black and HB38, also some Konad SN psyche pink bunny's from HB38. I had a hard time taking pictures because the bunny's turned purple on the photo, but on this photo it looks real they are the same color as my french.

Me as a bunny ;)

My boyfriend was this Japanese/Chinese guy oh I had so much fun putting make up on his face hahaha.
He looks so sad and serious ;) but we were laughing all the time.

Bunny and Japanese/Chinese guy before going out.

My big butt and bunny tail.

Together dancing in a bar.
So this was my wrong carnival blog *lol*

Scream

This creation I did not make for Halloween but I think it would be perfect for it. I made it a couple of months ago for the horror nailart contest on The Lacquer Files
I'm wearing Orly Gogo (white with small silver glitter), used my selfmade waterdecals of scream. Stamped with Konad SN red and SN black. Used M13 for the blood and knife, Coraline C04 for the big bat and BM13 for the small bat and the spiderwebs

Greece Chios week 1

Here are finally the pictures of my nailart creation the first week of my holiday.

The picture above was a lovely village with a beautifull small harbor.
I used Orly La vida loca as a base, stamped with SN pastel pink, pastel blue and Konad plate M27 and M75. On my ringfinger a pink metallic dazzle flower thing ;)

My feet and hand matching in the sand.

My sandy foot with sea view ;)

My hand at our favourite beach.

And another picture of my hand and thumb (that wasn't showing on the other pictures)
