V-day 2013 pastel gradient with hearts and kisses

Hi Everyone,

Today a V-day creation I've made today :) I was inspired by something I've made in 2009 but back then I used loose glitter over the sponging instead of a glitter topcoat and also used a different purple. Also had more hearts and no kisses see this post.

Sponged the base with Konad SN pastel pink, SN white and SN pastel violet, holo glitter topcoat from INM Nothern Lights. Stamped with M2, M3, M4, M18, M59, M84 Konad SN magenta and Catrice Forget me not.

I also made something like this (or more like the one I've made in 2009) last year with different colors and made my first and only video of it last year see this post.

I've entered these in a Valentines Contest from Konad if you like them you can "like"  my picture to vote and ofcourse see all the other pretty nails and like the ones you like too ;) Some have over 300 likes I know I won't make that, but that is okay I just love making themed nails for contest/challenges and like I always say having fun is most important :)

V-day 2013 pink, holo, gradient, love nails ♥

Hi everyone,

Like I said I love to make V-day or love mani's :) So today I have another one for you. These nails were a bit inspired by something I've made in 2011 these purple holo V-day nails.

China Glaze How about a Tumble with China Glaze Tickly my Triangle gradient base. Stamped with Konad SN white, SN pastel pink, SN magenta, SN dark red and PSN cool red. Imageplates: M2, M3, M4, M13, M18, M34, M43, M59, M76, M84 and M90.

I have some more Valentine's Day nails planned...at least 2 or maybe 3 ;)

Everything is Haunted!

Happy Halloween Everyone,

 

This holiday isn't really celebrated here in Holland but I do like it a lot  and wish it was a real holiday here too:) (and like you could see in my previous post I went to a Halloween party last weekend) I love making Halloween themed nails, so today I'll show you another creation: a haunted village :) on a sunset gradient base.

 

A 3 color gradient with Catherine Arley 806, 800 and 673 (just painted not sponged) Did sponge the black with Konad SN black. Stamped with SN yellow and SN black and used a lot of plates ;)

Pinkie: bat BM13, tree HB33 and cat HB28.

Ring finger: moon M16 (the middle of the button and colored the 4 holes), witch, ghost and pumpkin HB28, cross BM13.

Middle finger: bat C04 (Konad Coraline plate), tree HB33, house BM305.

Index: ghosts HB28, cross M18 (made of the letter T), pumpkin BM305.

Thumb: moon HB012 (part of a christmas ball), witch BM13, small bats HB28, little village HB33.

 

Some images like the pumpkins I first stamped in yellow, colored them in, and then stamped over it in black. Used a dotting tool for the eyes and windows.

A month ago while we were on vacation we lost our oldest pet rat Trouble. And Valley stayed behind very sad and lonely, so when we got back we had to buy some new friends for her. So we got Hope and Faith :) Here you see 3 months old Faith... see wanted to play in the haunted village too ;)

 

 Can I play in the haunted nail village too? Please? It looks like fun.

I know some people are scared of rats, but they really are sooo sweet and smart. Hope I didn't scare any of my followers away by posting rat pics...but to scare people on Halloween is allowed isn't it ;) But really they only give kisses, so no need to be afraid :)

A Romance in Paris ♥

Today some cute lovely nails I made this for a contest on Konad Ireland facebook. The theme was to make romantic nails, and she was going to Paris because of her 10 years anniversary.

As you all know I really like contests/challanges with or without prizes ;) especially since my mom died. I just love making something in a specific theme :) Doing me nails is still one of the things I like to do and it gives me distraction. When I am busy thinking of a creation or painting and stamping I just finally think of something else then missing my mom (and pets).

I thought of a Romance in Paris with kisses, the Eiffel tower, love, diamonds (jewelry) and a good glass of wine *cheers* and ofcourse lots of roses ;)

The Eiffel tower is a self made water decal, the rest is all stamped with M3, M4, M14, M18, M35, M38, M53, M59 even the word Paris is stamped from the patent and copyright letters that are engraved at the bottom of the big Konad demo plate :)

(I still can't print new decals (printer is broken) but I made these for over a year ago and they came in handy now ;))

For stamping I used Konad SN black and SN white, Opi Rosy-mistletoe-sies for the hearts and kisses and stuff and China Glaze TMI for the subtle holo pink roses.

The base is Orly Cotton Candy, see swatch below:

It still looks a bit sheer on some spots but that wasn't really the case in real life.

Inspired by music/song challenge (Bon Jovi)

Today I'll show you my creations I made for the inspired by your favourite music/song challenge. I don't really have one favourite band or music style but I do like these songs for many years now. And my mom also liked Bon Jovi especially the song Bed of Roses.

This is my 1st for this challenge inspired by these lyrics:

I actually found this one funny... it tells a story ;) But not pretty and I only had this on one hand and went out the door with it, with on my other hand something completely different ;)

It's been raining and the water level is rising on each finger. On my ring finger a girl who's been left by her boyfriend looking sad waving goodbye with a broken heart. And the water level keeps on rising and on my thumb it's at the top. And the girl just gave up looking sad/angry she is drowning in the flood (all the bubbles of her last breath).

Base China Glaze Moody Blue, water sponged with PSN sky blue on top a layer of Maybelline Bolt of blue 140 for the glitter. Rain stamped with Konad SN blue and M13, waves to make it more look like water from H20 (SN pastel blue), broken heart from M18 (made it broken myself) girls from Coraline C02 and C05 (SN black pearl), bubbles from M16, M34 and M35 (SN blue, black pearl).

My 2nd creation was also from a song from Bon Jovi and I did these because it was also one of my moms favourite songs.

These I found a lot prettier ;) and did it on both hands and I'm still wearing it.

Somehow I really love blue and I was in a blue mood so I chose for a blue base again. Base is Teeez Cool 02 a blue holographic polish and on my ring finger Nfu Oh 65 a light blue holo. I stamped some roses from M65 with SN black pearl on them and on my ring finger a love couple (self made water decal) from a guy who'd love to lay his girl on a bed of roses ;) also stamped a blue rose from M25 with SN blue and SN black pearl above them.

I know there is a lot more to the song then just that one sentence, but I only used the Bed of Roses part literally for this creation ;)

Peace, Love and Music

I made these nails in November 2011 for a 70's - 80's party. I did not blogged about them  back then because I was still having a break. But now because of a stamping challenge to make something inspired by music I just thought of these nails and wanted to show them.

They are not pretty but I liked them for the theme party.

Base is 4 colors of the China Glaze OMG collection (L8R G8R, GR8, BFF, DV8). Some self made water decals of a peace, love and music logo on my ring finger and thumb. And I stamped a peace sign from an Essence plate, heart from M18, guitar from M58, the music notes are from M43. For stamping I used Konad SN pink pearl, SN blue pearl, SN pastel green, SN pastel pink and SN pastel blue.

In loving memory of the Swan ♥

At my boyfriends place his backyard lies at the water. A couple of months ago we saw a love couple of Swans and later they had 8 babies ♥ I am really an animal lover so I was really happy to see that and from our backyard I gave them something to eat every time I saw them swimming by. The last time I saw them daddy swan was alone with his 8 babies (they grew tremendously) we found that really weird but I thought mommy was behind some bushes or something....untill friday......I heard horrible news from my neighbor. Mommy swam was murdered, they threw a rock on her head and the animal rescue could not do anything anymore. HOW CAN THERE BE PEOPLE WHO DO SUCH A HORRIBLE THING!!!!!! People who do that deserve death. Animals are so defenseless, and Swans are such beautiful, gracefull animals.

I was really sad and I cried, they were my friends and I loved feeding them (they made me happy when I was feeling blue) now daddy is alone with his babies. Swans are monogamous and stay together they entire life, sometimes you hear that if one of them dies the other one dies too because his is lonely. I hope daddy finds strength to live also when his babies leave. I know he takes good care of them, because he was already alone the last time I fed them and still very protective. They now are moved to a pond some streets away.

Because I was soo sad and find it horrible that people can do such thing I decided to honor mommy swan with a nail art creation.

Base Essence Ballerina Backstage LE 05 Grand Plié in Black (black polish with orange glitter) ringfinger is P2 Ship Ahoi! LE 010 Pure White. Stamped with Konad SN white and imageplate H21. Ringfinger stamped with Konad SN black the Swan from HB34, black hearts from M18 and with Konad pastel orange hearts from HB29.

At the end of May one big happy family, daddy, 8 babies and mommy.

June 10th I'm feeding them from the backyard, still one big happy family of 10.

June 23th daddy alone with his 8 babies who grew a lot. Took this photo from our backyard and I was hanging over almost fell in the water.

Even though daddy is alone he is a proud and protective daddy never leaves his babies behind. I was feeding them from the backyard in the rain. This was the last time I saw them, mommy was already murdered then but I thought she was hiding :(

Sooo sad, R.I.P. mommy Swan ♥ ♥ ♥ I will never forget you and your babies and loving partner will also never forget you!

While I'm typing this blog and watch the photos my eyes get all watery again.

Valentine's Day ideas part 6

Today another lovely Valentine creation. But I'm really bummed, I just couldn't get this normal on a photo. The flash made the holo effect too strong and then I couldn't see the metallic stamps anymore. But without flash it became blurry...so sorry for these bad pictures.

On the first photo you can see the colors the best and on the second photo you can see the design better.

Base China Glaze QT from the OMG Collection. Stamped with China Glaze Admire and imageplate BM11 and China Glaze Emotion and Konad imageplates M3 and M18. On my ring finger a light pink heartshaped rhinestone.

And some older Valentine's Day creations :) This one I made in 2010 for Valentine's Day.

China Glaze Lubu Heels with China Glaze Long Kiss roses stamped from M65. Pink hearts from M2 with China Glaze Admire.

The next one I didn't made for Valentine but it could be something you could wear at Valentine's Day ;) This is from the beginning of 2009.

The base is a french with some pearly polish don't know the brand any more, stamped with Konad SN red and green imageplate M40.

This I actually made for my boyfriends birthday in September 2009. It was his choice the base color and design. I find it also something romantic so it's also a good idea for Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day ideas part 4

Let's go back to the love, that is so much nicer then the fuss in my previous blog ;) (thanks everyone for the sweet words ♥ ) For today another love creation this time a purple one with lots of hearts.

As a base I'm wearing China Glaze LOL from the OMG collection, a lovely purple holo. Stamped with Konad SN pastel violet, pastel pink, pastel blue and white. Used imageplates: M2, M3, M4, M18, M34, M42, M47, M59 en BM02. Cupid is pointing his arrow to a purple fabric heart. Photo with flash under artificial light.

Disney Piglet week 3: love

Okay it is a bit late but I was away this weekend. Here are my last Piglet nails (I'll probably make more Piglet creation in the future) This last creation had a love theme. I made them around Valentines day and also for a contest.

As a base I'm wearing OPI I Pink I Love You. Beautiful color but needs more then 4 coats :( Stamped with OPI Rosy Mistletoe-sies and Konad SN Pastel Pink, Imageplates: M2, M3, M14 en M18. And ofcourse selfmade water decals of Piglet.
