Liberation Day 2015

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for not blogging very often, I promise to do it more again. Things just have been kinda busy and I 've been sick. But I still have lots and lots of mani's to show you, like a couple of Rock 'n' Roll mani's, mani's with my first Mundo polishes, mani's with a couple of my new MoYou nails plates (the round ones), also some with my first Chez Delaney plates and lots more ;) And ofcourse I also still have many older mani's to show from before I started blogging.

I have been posting more on my instagram: https://instagram.com/dianavnisselroy/

Today May 4th  is remembrance of the dead and tomorrow May 5th we celebrate Liberation Day with lots of music festivals across the country. Ofcourse I had to make a mani. And I'll be going to one of the music festivals, there is one in every county/province. It is always fun to celebrate our freedom with some amazing free live music. Lots of great bands/artists are coming.

Base is Sinful Colors Black on Black. With the flames representing the liberation fire (FUN7), the stripes in the colors of the Dutch flag red white and blue (Konad M44), the words 'free' and 'music' cause we have our freedom and can celebrate and enjoy it by listen to music or express yourself through music (MoYou 115) and the guitar cause I love listen to live music and will be going to the Liberation festival tomorrow (Cheeky Jumbo 5 Musical nails). All stamped using Mundo polishes.

Thanks for reading!

World Cup 2014

Hi Everyone,

Here my World Cup nails for this year. Will do more ofcourse so hopefully we make it passed the first round ;) I did these earlier last week before I cut my nails. I needed them long to do this ;) And that night the Dutch team was playing their last friendly practise game, so it was fun to watch with orange nails :) Now I won't have much time to do my nails.

Base a gradient with China Glaze Son of a Peach and Impala Tech. Made some stamping decals and layered the stamping decals and stamping too. World Cup from MJ XXIV test plate stamping using multiple colors and layered it over a white image, cause otherwise the colors would not show up well. The Dutch flag is stamped with Konad M44 stamped all the lines seperately. The stadium, Rio and the Brazil flag heart are from Moyou Tourist 14. The smaller ball and World Cup from Konad M49 and the bigger soccer ball is from Konad M52. Used Konad SN black, white, red, blue, yellow and green.

And some more pictures.

It was really hard to scrape and not blend the colors on the world cup and the grass in the stadium and later adding a stamping decal of the little ball on top, but at the end I really liked this soccer/footbal mani.

And some pictures of the gradient base.

I really liked this orange gradient base.

Are you making World Cup nails? If you want to see more you can always search here for previous World Cup/ European Cup nails.

Tonight our Dutch team will play against Spain..so we need all the luck we can get haha.

Have a great weekend!

Olympic nails

Hello,

I made these nails friday, I was hoping that we would win some more medals this weekend. And we did...our small country won some more medals :) Even won more today.

I went for a gold holographic base and used the colors of the Olympic flag for stamping. To stay in the Olympic theme I used a circle full nail stamp and stars for the french tips.

Golden Rose Paris Holographic 104. Stamped with Konad SN yellow, SN blue, SN black, SN red and SN green. Imageplate M85 and M44.

Also a bit of matching toes. Just some stars in the Olympic colors on my big toe.
Stamped with the same colors used imageplate M3.

Here some swatches of this golden holo.
 With flash.

A bit blurry.

I really like watching all kinds of sport with the Olympics but I love gymnastics. (I did that when I was younger for more then 10 years, but I was a bit tooo tall ;))

Have a nice evening.

Soccer/Football month: Hello Kitty goes Orange! (World Cup 2010)

Hi everyone,

This weekend the European soccer/football Cup starts, that means making Holland (red, white, blue or orange nails) :) 2 years ago when it was the World Cup I made several Holland creations, but back then I did not had blog. So I thought it would be fun to show you these too in the upcoming weeks and also my new supporting my country nails for this European Cup that I still have to make. I don't expect that we come far, but we play at least 3 games so I think I will make at least 3 new creations :)

This creation I made for our first match in the World Cup in 2010.
Base is China Glaze Glacier and and a white french with China Glaze Snow. Self made water decals of Hello Kitty (gave her an orange "Dutch" dress and a football) Stamped with Konad M44 and SN red and SN blue, so it looks like our red, white and blue Dutch flag.

Here a photo of just the glitter China Glaze Glacier and the french Chine Glaze Snow tips.

Are you (my European followers) making supporting nails for your country for the upcoming European Cup?

My Easter nails from last year

I made this last year with Easter. I always find pastel colors perfect for spring and easter (now I also have pastel yellow easter nails I will post that later this week).

Base Catrice LE pastel yellow (don't know the exact name/number) Stamped with Konad SN pastel blue and pink pearl and imageplate M44. Selfmade water decals of Thumper coming out of an egg. And on my thumb decals of Happy Easter (on my ring finger Happy Easter in Dutch).

Here a swatch of the Catrice LE polish from last year.

Somehow there were a few bubbles in it :(

I'm from Holland, can you tell?

For the Show us your country challenge on Parokeets I have made some typical Dutch nails :)
My inspiration were the typical things that are used to make my country recognizable for foreign people, the images that are used on postcards or you can see in souvenir shops. So I made my own water decals of those things.

My country is well known for their cheese so I have a piece of cheese on my pinkie. On my ring finger I have a farmer girl in traditinal clothing on wooden shoes holding a mill. A lot of foreign people think that everyone in my country walks on wooden shoes (clogs) but it is just a part of the old fashioned traditional clothing, of course there are still people who walk on wooden shoes, but that is mostly in the country life. My country is also famous for their tulips, so I have wooden shoes and a red tulip on my middle finger. On my index finger I have a mill, that is also something that can't be missing. My thumb has a black and white cow on it. You can identify my country by these five things, they all have a connection. You often see them together on photo's or postcards. Then you see a scenery of tulips with cows, mills and farmer people on wooden shoes. And the milk from the cows is used to make cheese.

On the tip of my nails I've stamped the colors of my coutry's flag. Konad SN blue, red and M44. The base is OPI Alpine Snow with a layer of P2 Divine.

So this is my way to show you my country ;)

Can you tell by looking only at my nails that I'm from Holland?
