Holo, dots and flowers from 2011

Hi everyone,

Today I'll show you something I've made in 2011 during my blogging break.
Something really strange is going on, I can't add pictures to my post. The section where you can normally browse and select a picture from your computer is gone, I do see it sometimes but before I can click it's gone again. So luckily I had these pictures already online somewhere so I added them that way.

Does anyone else has this problem?
Base Catherine Arley 802 a pretty holo. Stamped with XL plate B and Konad SN white. And some flower decals (these are not self made).
Also a picture of just the stamping.
Of course also some swatches, I really like Catherine Arley holo polishes.

Thanks for readings.

Christmas 2011: Nostaligic Christmas

Hello Everyone,

Are you already getting tired of all my Christmas posts? I hope not :)

Today something I made last year in my blogging break before Christmas. I called them Nostalgic  nails, because of the decals....they really look old. I bought these decals, did not made those myself. Later I really found it strange/weird that I made Nostalgic Christmas nails...because my mom died 2nd Christmas day and those Christmases we used to have as a family would never be like that again and already feel a bit nostalgic.

Base OPI Sheer your Toys (pretty grey with really tiny red glitter) water decals (not self made) and stamped with XL plate B and China Glaze 2030.

Another pic with flash.

And some swatches of this OPI polish :)

Thanks for reading.

Have a nice weekend.

OPI DS Illuminate with golden nail art

Hello Everyone,

I have this polish for a few years but never used it my self before. Don't ask me why because it is really beautiful. But some how I always think no brown is more for Fall ;)

I did some golden nail art on it but pffff that was hard to capture on a photo. Too much bling bling, so the pictures aren't that great.

Base OPI DS Illuminate, stamped with China Glaze 2030 and XL B (tips) and XL F. Some golden rhinestones and a gold line with a golden glitter striper from Konad.

This is more color accurate but the stamps arent' showing that well.

And here swacthes of this pretty color.
I love the green glow it had over it (not showing on my nails on the picture but you can see it in the bottle).

Enjoy your sunday!

Self Designed Dragon nails..lol :)

Hi Everyone,

Today I have something funny to show you ;) I got creative and made my own images out of other parts of imageplates. I made these for the cool History, Myths and Legends contest of Nat from http://noholos.blogspot.nl/2012/07/stamping-and-freehand-contest.html This was such a challenge for me, since I did not have any stamps for this theme. It supposed be dragons above an old castle wall...lol :) I had so much fun thinking and making this. As you know I always love a great theme and challenge. This is actually my 2nd design I first tested both of them on paper. I will make my 1st design later. The contest is open untill August 10th so you should all enter too :) The contest has lots of prices and different stamping categories.

I had a hard time taking a normal picture because the base was too shimmery and metallic so I don't have one without the paper sorry for that. But I was already happy that I managed to make a picture that wasn't blurry or too light. And also the base colors are color accurate here.

Base is a gradient of Golden Rose Paris Magic color 327 & 328. All stamped with Konad SN black.
Thumb: head M27, body H11, wing BM314, fire out of his mouth H20, sort of castle wall XL B.
Index: dragon fire BM12, sort of castle wall XL B.
Middle finger: head and body HB016, wing BM314, tail BM305, sort of castle wall XL B.
Ring finger: head M27, body BM15, wing BM314, tail BM305, sort of castle wall XL B.
Pinkie: dragons tail BM305, sort of castle wall XL B.

Here some swatches of the gradient base.

You can see how reflecting and shimmery it was with just a bit of light.

A bit blurry.

With flash it totally got lighter.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Happy Easter everyone ♥ + some cute animal pics

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope you all have a nice Easter day. Today I'll show you my Easter creation of this year. I also forget one creation in my previous post so I'll show that today. And also some cute pictures of our pets :)

And self made water decals of Hello Kitty disguised as an Easter bunny holding a basket with Easter eggs.

This I actually made for Carnaval 2011 when I was a bunny but this creation would also be something you could do for Easter ;)
Base OPI Alpine Snow with one coat of Orly Gogo for the silver small glitters. French made of Golden Rose Magic Paris color 321. I stamped small bunny feet with Konad SN black and HB38, also some Konad SN psyche pink bunny's from HB38.

As some of you probably know our pet rat died when my mom was also dying too in the hospital, rats can't be on their own so just before Christmas we bought a new friend for our rat Trouble who lost her friend Bubble :( We called our new rat Valley (after part of the name of the hospital where my mom was) Valley was also alone in the store they just sold here sister the day before. We found it very sad that she had to be alone with Christmas so we  took her home ;) I never showed any pictures of  her...but I did promised that so here some pics of Valley ;)

We just picked her up at the pet store.

Sleeping in her coconut in her temporary cage (first the 2 of them have to get to know eachother before they can be together in one cage)

Trouble together with Valley :)

She grew a lot, look at her cute white belly ;) (no I'm not squeezing her).

I am sooo sweet ;)

Here also a cute picture of my hamster Pooh together with Piglet ♥
I just had to share this one hahaha.

Have a happy Easter and great week!

Super Mario nails and some personal info

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for not blogging for a while that wasn't my intention, but a lot has happend the last weeks. My moms 2nd heavy chemo was postponend because of bad blood levels and that made her really sad because the longer she had to wait the more time the cancer has to multiply. And we had a feeling that those heavy chemos did more than the 6 regular ones she already had. In the mean time she did had her chemo and she is home again. She has a busy month ahead, blood test, another heavy chemo, MRI scan, bone marrow biopsy and a lot more. that is too difficult to explain even in Dutch ;) Then if everything goes to plan she will be having a bone marrow transplant next year...so fingers crossed.

More bad things happend but I will tell you later first some nice things ;) We finally celebrated my boyfriends birthday when we came back from our holiday. We invited some friend for a game party. So I made Super Mario nails with 10 different characters :)

My left hand.
Base Color Club Worth the Risque, selfmade water decals of Yoshi, Mario, Goomba, Toad and Bowser. Stamped the tips with Konad SN green, blue, brown, red and yellow. Imageplate XL B.

My right hand.
Base Color Club Worth the Risque, selfmade water decals of Donkey Kong  Dry Bones, Princess Peach, Luigi and Koopa Paratroopa. Stamped the tips with Konad SN brown, blue, yellow, green and red. Imageplate XL B.

Both hands together :)

And some swatches of Color Club Worth the Risque.

Like I said a lot has happend bad and good stuff, some good is that I won one minute of free shopping at Kruidvat our local drugstore :) I will blog about that later this week.

Something bad is that my hamster died this summer, and after our holiday I decided to finally buy a new one, because I missed having a small animal friend. And animals make me happy when I feel down. We bought a sweet really small hamster and called him Windy (I know a bit strange but that name has a whole story to it ;))

We got him friday and he was really sweet and active, but sunday evening he was lifeless in his cage :( To make the story shorter..he probably had a deadly disease called wet tail (not the symptoms yet) because his brother back in the pet store died saturday and had this disease. They were very young (I never had such a small "gold" hamster and I have hamsters for more then 10 years now) I could look for a new one but decided to wait a few weeks because although he was only with me for a couple of days it made me sad that such a small young baby animal suddenly died and I missed him. And because of the stuff that is going on..I was down and said things like I can't do anything and can't take care of anything I'm useless bla bla bla ;)

Me and Windy R.I.P. Never forget you!!!

A few weeks later a could choose a new hamster...they had two for me and it was soo hard to choose. After a few hours petting both we made a decision . My new hamster reminded us of a bear (also a donkey because of his eyes) and we called him Pooh (bear). After a few days he had Wet tail too, so I was really scared because 90% die of this disease. He had really the sypthoms and I did everything I could, I also went back to the vet that was inside the pet store (the costs were for the pet store so that was nice) the vet did not know about this disease...I was really shocked that I had to tell her everything about it. Anyway I got some antibiotics and that same evening before I gave it he was looking better already, so hopefully because of my own care too...and now he is totally better :)

This is my sweet Pooh :)

PS: ofcourse that are not my hands ;) but from my sister, she is a nail biter too, just like I was 4 years ago ;) And my nails looked a lot like hers back then ;)

I promise to blog again very soon!

Just a quick update from me :) I'm back from my holiday!

Hi you all :)

I'm not going to start blogging again regularly, but maybe I will post something once a month or every few weeks or something like that. I just wanted to thank all of you for the sweet and encouraging words, they really mean a lot to me ♥ I also wanted to let you know I'm back from my 3 weeks in Greece, that was really great and I miss it (especially the adorable cats that lived around our appartment and we fed for 3 weeks).

Unfortunatally my mom is still very sick :( The last 3 chemotherapies also did not do anything, (we heard that news during our holiday :( ) she has had 6 chemo's already :( but none of them worked...so this is really sad news.

At the moment she is lying in the hospital for a really heavy chemo, that will last nonstop for a few days....hopefully this will work....♥ I have my fingers crossed ♥

Ofcourse you do want to see some nails and nail art, so here are my holiday nails that I made before we went to the Greek Island Kos.

This one is made after a week, at the beach with a beautiful sunset.

This photo is made before we went under artificial light without flash.

Base OPI DS Sapphire (underneath a layer of China Glaza Sexagon). Some selfmade Greek water decals of a donkey, a logo from Kos, the Greek flag and the island. Sort of Greek signs stamped with Konad SN blue and XL imageplate B.

With flash.

And ofcourse matching toes :)

And here some swatches of OPI DS Sapphire with China Glaze Sexagon underneath.

Both of them with flash.

Untill next time :)

Thanks again for all the sweet words ♥

Flowers, pink, sailing and holo (Nfu Oh) all things I love ♥

Last week I mentioned I had Nfu Oh 63 on my nails and I wanted to post that friday but blogger was down. And in the weekends I normally am not online. So I will show you this today. Not last weekend but the weekend before that we hired a small moterboat in Giethoorn, and my best friend, his girlfriend, my boyfriend and I had so much fun that day. Ofcourse I took some photos of my nails there, the last time I was there I took the photo that is my blog logo now with the big water lily. I wanted take a new one with a lily but unfortunately it was to early in the season and the lilies were not in bloom yet. I did take some other nature photos. So I have a lot of photo spam for you :)

Base Nfu Oh 63, self made water decals of this cute pink flower (Frangipani). Stamped with XL plate B and OPI Rosy Mistletoe-sies.

Photo made from to boat in the background some sort of a small windmill.

It was such a beautiful sunny hot day ♥

Debora ♥ Dennis aren't they cute. (she is the one who always gets me those nice Brazilian nail polishes).

They call Giethoorn also the Dutch Venice because of all the water and bridges.

Just a pretty photo :)

Me and my boyfriend captain Dave ;) He's was at the rudder most of the time.

Some cows.

 Isn't he sweet?

Me at the rudder :)

Now here are the regular photos ;) I also took a few because with decals and holo it sometimes is difficult to take a good photo.

Photo with flash under artificial light.

 Photo with flash.

Without flash or any direct (sun) light. So you can see the decals a bit better.

Without flash under artificial light.

Ofcourse I also took some swatch photos:

With flash.

With flash a bit of different angle.

With flash different angle...look at the rainbow ♥

 With flash under artificial light.

Without flash under artificial light.

I sooo totally love Nfu Oh holo's and also loved this creation I had it on my nails for more then a week.

I also painted my toe nails. I wasn't really matching but it did matched a lillte bit because I used this Nfu Oh for stamping. For those of you who don't like the see foot photos..... DON'T look ;)

Base Teeez Outta Control a beautiful bright dark purple holo nail polish.

I stamped some flowers from XL plate F with Nfu Oh 63 and Nfu Oh 65.
