Cats playing in the garden :)

Hi everyone,

This was actually my first idea for the blogger mani-a giveaway/contest. I saw the list of 11 themes and one of them is CATS so I immediately thought of this mani. Then I heard I could do more then one theme so I did 2 other ones too :) Like I said before I love doing themed mani's and I had enough ideas for all the themes haha, but that would be too much. I really wanted to do this Kitties/Cats playing in the garden mani. I like making scenery/landscape nails, they do take some time to make but I love doing that :)

The weather is really nice here..it really feels like Spring :) Outside you always see cats chasing frogs (thumb) or butterflies (ring finger) and just having fun in a garden. So I had to make that on my nails too. And I miss having cats. I had not used the plate with the cats yet so this was also a perfect opportunity to do that.

Base DA magical with a franken green holo and Nubar Absolute. Cats are from Born Pretty Store plate QA15. Frog, swan, dragonfly from HB34. Grass from Konad M66 and Moyou Mother Nature 01. Flowers from HB33, Moyou Suki 10, Moyou Mother Nature 01. Butterflies also from Moyou Mother Nature 01. Sun is from Nailways Snowwhite Weather Forecast. And the clouds are from Moyou Mother Nature (aka Landscape) 06.

Colors used: Konad SN black, SN white, SN yellow, SN pastel blue, SN orange pearl, SN red, SN moss green, SN pastel pink, PSN apple green, PSN pop green, Flormar 47.

Also used a dotting tool  and a sponge (for the water).

I hope the weather will be nice here the next week too......can't wait for the Summmer.

2 Halloween mani's with Nailways Halloween plate

Hi Everyone,

Today I have two mani's to show you :) I have so many images I want to use that last week I decided to make different mani's on my left and right hand :)

Let's start with my left hand.
Base a gradient with 3 holo's a light green franken, Nubar Reclaim and Color Club Revvvolution. Stamped with Konad SN black and SN dark orange (and SN yellow for the dots). Plate Nailways Darker Period- Halloween A-NW00016.

Here some pics of just the gradient.

I really liked how this gradient turned out :)

And now my right hand, the hand I always have trouble with to photograph or hold my fingers normal haha. So these pics aren't great but you can see the mani (most of it) ;)

Base a gradient with 2 Jade holo's Hypnose and Fascinio Violeta. Stamped with Klean color metallic black (Konad SN yellow for the dots) and all images are from the Nailways Darker Period- Halloween A-NW00016 plate.

Here also some pics of the gradient base.

I had my nails like this for a few days haha. I really like Nailways plates :) They now have 16 of their own plates, divided in 4 sets see their website.

Decorated Christmas Tree nails

Hi Everyone.

Today I'll show you my 3rd and final entry for the Nail Polish Canada Holiday challenge. I had so much fun entering all these 3 weeks, and I am very happy and honored they invited me to join :)

This week the theme is: Trim the Tree (Holiday Decorations): lights, ornaments, tinsel, frosting, heck, even popcorn on a string if that's your thing. Let's see your nails all dolled up like a Christmas Tree!

So I decided to make my nails look like decorated Christmas trees with a green base and all kinds of cute Christmas balls, ornaments and of course my barbed wire Christmas candle lights on my ring finger :) At my parents place we have lights shaped like real candles so I really wanted to do that too and I used the barbed wire to represent the power cord..LOL. The candle shaped Christmas lights remind me of the nice Christmas days we had as a family with my mom :(

Base a green holo franken made with a lot of polishes (too manu to mention) and Spectraflair. Stamped with Nailways' Snowwhite Christmas plate A-NW00002 (the balls, candles, present, ginger bread, tree, teddy bear, candy cane) with Konad SN blue, SN sky blue, SN white, SN yellow, SN green, SN brown, SN red. A Essence plate for the SN red ribbons. And BM323 for the barbed wire under the candles with SN black. I drew the black lines.

Another pic with different light.

It is snowing a lot here in Holland so I took a pic from our bedroom, you see our garden and view...everything is white :) The water in the ditch is a bit frozen, luckily our own little pond isn't.

Here some swatches of my green holo franken base.

I really like this green holo :)

With different light.

These aren't my favorite/prettiest nails I have ever made, but I had fun doing these :)

You can see all this weeks entries here and of course you can all vote again this week for you favorite. There is also still time to join yourself :) If you like mine you can also vote for me, by selecting my blog name D.I.A.N.A and fill in your name and email. Voting closes December 12.

The prizes are open to US and Canada only so I can't win, but I do appreciate your votes :)

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Thanks for reading.

Greece 2012: Caretta Caretta sea turtles

Hi everyone,

I still haven't showed all my creations from my vacation last month to Greece. So lets go back to the Summer instead of Fall and rain :) Today I'll show you my Caretta Caretta nails, I made those in my 2nd week on Zakynthos. The Caretta Caretta turles are an endangered spieces and one of the places they live and where they lay their eggs is Zakynthos. Many beaches there are protected because of all the nesting places.

This is again a post with lotsss of pictures :) From my nails with beautiful backgrounds, but also some holiday pics and pics of real Caretta Caretta's that I saw there...they are sooo sweet and big :) The local people really loved my turtle nails :) And I was joking that I could offer to make turtles on customers from touring agencies who organize turtle spotting trips...like book now a turtle trip and get turtle nail art for 5 euros or something :) ....oh wow really doing something like that in the main season will be a gold mine ;) and sooo much fun :) A girl can dream right? ;)

Let's start with a pretty blue ocean picture :) In the back you see "Turtle Island" it is called that way because it is shaped like a turtle and also the beach there is one of the nesting beaches.

The base is a lime yellow holo franken made with many polishes and Spectraflair. Stamped with Konad SN green and imageplate HB016, the bubbles are from H20. The word Caretta Caretta are self made water decals.

 The view from our balcony.

 In Zante town harbour.

Of course I had to make a matching pedi. The word Zakynthos is also a self made water decal, the turtle is from HB016 and the turtle shells are from BM313.

Turtle island in the back..it really does look like a turtle :)

My thumb.

 A view from above.

Enjoying the pretty blue water :)

The decals aren't that pretty anymore (had it on my nails for a week ;)) but this was during a boat trip to spot the Caretta Caretta's unfortunatelly we did not see any during this trip, so I took a pic of my hand above the gorgeous blue water.

My turtles swimming under water ;)

Of course some swatches of my lime yellow franken. I really don't know what polishes I used but they were a lot ;)

In the sun.

Some holiday pictures.

Dave and I with Turtle Island in the back....pfff it was soooo hot that day.

Cooling down in the shadow with some water sitting on the rocks watching the ocean.

Walking to a rocky beach with Turtle Island and my dad in the back ;)

 One of the many churches.

I am on the top of the world...uhh brigde ;)

My own cave man climbing the white rocks...these were really weird and broke very easily. It looked like salt with sand or something.

Some more turtle sand "castles" that I made haha lol :)

From the boat, there are a lot of caves around the island.

We stoppped here for a swimming stop.

Dave and I on the turtle trip boat.

During sunset and the moon is rising above the mountain.

Feeding the cats and kitties on our balcony in the evening after a beach day.

Early in the morning in Agios Sostis harbour to visit Cameo Island and the Caretta Caretta that is spotted around the harbour/island every morning.

There she is....isn't she cute? And really big about 80 cm.

 Look at those eyes <3

Having a drink with my dad (and Dave but he took the pic) at Cameo Island.

The view from Cameo Island with Turtle Island in the back.

Enjoying my ice cold peachy ice tea.

The wooden bridge to Cameo Island, which had 2 bars one on top (where you can spot the turtles) and one at the beach on the other side. And in the main season there are lots of parties there.

Thank you al for watching/reading :) Hope you liked this post about the Caretta Caretta, the Greek island Zakynthos and a peek in my holiday pics too ;)

Black Cats under a Full Moon

Hi lovely readers,

The challenge this Sunday on Adventures in Stamping was Halloween themed, so a perfect excuse for me to make something Halloweenish (is that a word? ;)) A had many ideas and also some cool self made Hello Kitty Halloween decals. But I decided to go for the full moon and black cats. I also really wanted to use one of my franken polishes I made with many polishes and Spectraflair.
Base a blue franken mixed a lot of blue polishes with some Spectraflair. Stamped "the moon" with SN yellow and imageplate HB012 (it actually is a Christmas ball hahaha. The rest I stamped with SN black using HB28, Konad Coraline plates C01, C02, C04, BM13. Made yellow eyes with a dotting tool. And stamped some silver stars with Essence silver stampy polish and M14 (you see the stars better on the picture below).
 Without flash under artificial light.
 And another one.
Also some swatches of my blue franken holo, I put in a really small empty Konad mini stamping polish bottle :)
I have a weakness for blue polishes and I really like this blue :)

Thank you for reading.
