Monthly palette Project August 2013

Hi Everyone,

Here something I've made for the Monthly Palette Project in August 2013....told you I still have so many mani's to show haha ;) The rules were to use at least 2 of the colors on the palette and tape ofcourse my goal was to use them all ;)

Base Glitter Gal The Award Goes To, then added striping tape and painted over it with P2 Denim Delight 020 navy washed denim. Sponged the tips with P2 Denim Delight 050 indigo denim and removed the tape again so you can see the Glitter Gal stripes. Stamped with Konad SN white and Pueen 26. Added dots with Flormar 394.

And here all the seperate pictures.

 Also from my right hand.

 Another one from my hand.

The base.

And all the polishes I used.

I remember I really liked this mani, not sure why I never posted it before haha.

Well, it's one for the money, Two for the show, Three to get ready....

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for not blogging for a while. I've been busy and I am sick too. But I have been posting on my fb page and on instagram.

Even though I am sick I had to do the TAG you are it challenge for a Facebook group I only had a week that was almost over ;) I had 3 choices and combined 2 of them so I chose vintage/grunge style and inspired by an old song :)

"Well, it's one for the money,

Two for the show,
Three to get ready,
Now go, cat, go.

But don't you step on my blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but lay off of my Blue suede shoes."

Base Essence 33 Wilde White Ways and Flormar 47 on ring finger. Added blue flocking powder on my ringfinger to make it look like like a suede shoe haha it sure feels soft ;) Stamped the "shoelace" with parts of Konad M7 and Bundle Monster BM420. Used a grey, white, light blue and darker blue to make the vintage/grunge distressed look. Stamped with BP-47 the music notes, Elvis is from MyOnline Shop MJ XXII and the shoe prints are from Nailways Snowwhite - Traces.  Used Konad stamping polishes and made it all matte with China Glaze Magic matte.

And here the glossy picture.

And the grunge/vintage/distressed base. Later added a little dark blue brush strokes.

I did this really quick but I am pretty happy with how these turned out. It was a fun mani to do and great theme. I still have many more mani's to show you all :)

MSMD inspired by Nicky NailsLove

Hi everyone,

The challenge in one of the Facebook groups was Monkey See Monkey Do. I wanted to do a mani from the lovely Nickynailslove I really love her work and she is such a sweet person too. I did not had much time to do a mani so mine version is really quick and not as pretty as hers ;)

I did not used the rhinestones and also did not made it matte. She also used a silver polish, I don't own a silver stamping polish so a used a lavender metallic one.

For the base I used Flormar 47 and on top Orly Royal Navy. I wasn't sure if the Orly polish would be opague enough so did one coat of the Flormar first. Stamped with China Glaze Sci-Fi and used BP-11 for both the images.

Here a close up from just my mani,

And also a swatch picture.

Born Pretty Store: texture polish and Q-girl 016

Hi everyone,

Today I have some fun stuff from Born Pretty Store to show you. I received some product to review and chose a plate (Q-girl 016), a set of mini textured polishes (no 11) and water decals (palm trees). See photo's below. For my mani from today I used the plate and the white textured polish. Will use the decals later.

Born Pretty Bgirl textured polish white from their no11 set. Stamped with Flormar 47 the flowers from Q-girl 016.

Here another picture with different light.

I was really impressed by the plate and the polishes. The plate stamps really well and has great quality and also the polishes. I was a little afraid that it might get lumpy, but this wasn't the case. It also dried pretty fast and I just loved the white texture with tiny silver glitters. It looks a little between white and silver..maybe pearl is the right name for the color?

Also a swatch picture.
I know I will be wearing this polish more and maybe do a Winter mani with it.

Here you can see all the products I received.
I did not expect the polishes would come in a package. Think this is a really fun set to gave as a present too. And the packaging also contains a small jar with nail polish remover pads :)

Here also some wheel swatches from all the 4 colors.
I really like all these colors. You can buy this set here and there are also different colors available.

Ofcoure I'll be using some other images from the Q-girl 016 plate soon too. And the palm tree water decals ;)

Thank you for reading.

Monthly Palette Project May with "acid wash" technique

Hi everyone,

Every month in WON there is a color palette with rules. You have to use at least 2 of the colors and the technique rules are different each month. Last month we had to use the "acid wash' technique. I had never tried this before, so it was a challenge. Don't think this is my cup of tea but it sure was fun to try.

Started with the light blue Flormar as a base, then the dark blue Flormar, then the pink from Essence. On ring finger I changed the dark blue and pink layers. Acid wash technique so I used a q-tip with remover to rub over my nails so the layers underneath become visable. I stamped over that with Moyou Kitty 01 sort of gradient Konad SN pastel violet and Konad SN pastel blue butterflies with little light pink (almost white dots in their wings) I had to try using all the colors again :)

Close up of the stamped mani.

And here just the acid wash base

Like I said not really my "style" but it was fun to do.

Gold, Holo glitter, Santa and Holly

Hi Everyone,

Today just a quick mani I did earlier this week. I haven't done my nails all week and I planned to help my friend yesterday in his new house, painting, putting wallpaper up etc. And my Santa sleigh mani was chipped, I am always afraid my nails break sooner when I have chipped nails or no polish on. So I had to do something fast to make them "job-resistant" ;) And this base polish with glitter made my nails really firm.

Base Flormar 394 (gold with holo glitter) stamped the holly and Santa with MC-02 and MC-06 (cheap no brand plates from Tedi Shop Germany). Made a stamping decal of Santa. Used Konad black, green, red, white and a peachy mix I've made.

Another pic of my hand.

And some swatches of this pretty polish.

I love the polishes from Flormar :)

Happy Halloween :)

Hi Everyone,

Happy Halloween! Today another Halloween mani, again this isn't my current creation. Will show those later, still have 2 more to show you ;) So Halloween on my blog will be a bit longer ;) Hope you don't mind haha.

Like I said before Halloween isn't really celebrated here, but I do plan to go to a Halloween party this Saturday, just like last year :) Me and my sis love Halloween, she also carved a pumpkin. Sometimes we wish we live in the USA ;)

This was a really quick mani I just painted over me neon base lol cause I knew the metallic polishes are opaque in one coat. For this one I've used Konad plates.

Base Flormar Supershine 50 and 47 gradient. Stamped the pumpkin from Konad M13 first with Konad SN yellow (colored it) and stamped over it with Konad SN orange pearl. The cats are from Konad Coraline C01 and C02 stamped in Konad SN black (dotted SN yellow eyes) and the stars are from M14 stamped with Konad SN yellow.

And here a picture of just the gradient base.

I really like these flormar polishes :)

Hope you all have a great Halloween. My sis and I are going to a concert tonight (she got free tickets) but we will dress up saturday for the Halloween party.

Sea nails on JOSS Holographic Caribbean Holiday ♥

Hi Everyone,

I was on holiday the last 2 weeks and did not wanted to make pre planned blogposts, wasn't and still am not really feeling like blogging much. Anyway the trip to Terschelling was fun will post those nails and pics later :)

Today something I've made a month ago, I just loveeeee this base polish sooo much. The stamping wasn't great cause I double stamped everything, but overall I still liked this mani :)

Base JOSS holographic Caribbean Holiday. Stamped every sea creature twice for more brighter colors (or with different colors and colored them in) so it isn't perfect but it is okay :) ) LLC5 (love this plate) for the sea creatures ♥ with different Konad pastel stamping colors, M16 for the blue bubbles using Sally Hansen Blue it, H29 for the seaweed in bright shimmer green (a Flormar polish) and dark green (Konad SN green) to give it aome depth.

Also made a matching pedi :)
Same base color, turtle from LLC5 and blue bubbles from M16.

And a pic of both my feet.

Ofcourse also some swatches. I really love blue polish and holo, so this could be one of my favorite polishes ever :)

I bought this polish and the LLC5 plate at Llarowe I was so happy to had won a giftcard (empowering woman contest from Lacquer or Leave Her ) a while ago so I could finally buy some of the amazing polishes and plates they sell there.

Color Club Angel Kiss with roses

Hi Everyone,

I made this a couple of weeks ago. I still wasn't feeling well but really needed to do my nails and if I want something quick I always choose a holo polish :) So it was time to try my new Color Club Angel Kiss (the only one I have from the Halo Hues :( ) I first had it on without any nail art for a few days but somehow I forgot to take a swatch picture (I always take swatch pics, so I blame it on me being sick).

Also the new camera is sent back for repair, so had to use another camera (one that I don't like for nail pics) but did my best to capture all the colors and designs.

Base Color Club Angel Kiss, stamped the full nail with B310 and Konad pastel green. BM14 for the rose with Kleancolor metallic red and BM04 for the leaves with Flormar 50.

And some more pics (like I said I don't have my regular camera so it is hard to take a great pic).

Best Wishes for 2013

Hey everyone,

Hope you all had a great New Years and were careful with fireworks! I thought let's write my first blogpost of 2013 and start by wishing you all the best for 2013. Hope you'll have a great year with love, good health, polishes and nail art and many more great things :)

Base Flormar Supershine Miracle colors U60 (sort of black with golden shimmer) Stamped with Essence A Piece of Forever and Nailways Snowwhite New Year plate A-NW00004.

Some more pictures because it was kinda hard to capture because of the shimmer and gold stamping polish.

I really like the shaking hands image and that it is also mirrored.

Of course also some swatches. I must say I really like all the Flormar polishes I have, it isn't many but the ones I do have I like :)

A bit red hands but the polish color is quite accurate. You really see the golden shimmer here.

Danbo wanted to say "Hi" and he tooks his "New Years" bath and is ready for a new year full of adventures ;)

Again I wish you all the best, and I hope my phone gets better so I can comment more on other blogs :(

Thanks for reading!
