New Years Eve nails from the last years

Hi Everyone,

I thought let's show you my New Years Eve nails of the last couple of years. Still have to think of something for this year, not yet sure about the base color.

Here you see them all together.

Let's start with my New Years Eve nails from last year 2011. I did not wanted to use the word "Happy" then since my mom just died...and happy was the last thing on my mind. I posted these nails in this blog post, where also wrote about my mom :( and showed the nails I made for the funeral.

Base China Glaze Ruby pumps. Stamped some sort of fireworks with XL plate F and China Glaze 2030, Essence stampy silver and Konad SN white. The letters 2012 are from M20 and M12 of Konad big demo plate.

And now my New Years Eve nails from 2010 :) You can see the swatches and more pictures in this blogpost.

Base Sally Hansen - 16 Blue it, on top I did a coat of CND effects Crimson sparkle. I stamped the fireworks with BM20 and Konad SN pastel violet, pastel blue, pastel pink, pastel yellow, pastel orange and PSN apple green. Used the numbers from the sides of plate M20 and M11.The word Happy from M43 in different Konad SN pastel colors. For my thumb I used M46 for the word happy and the numbers from the big demo plate.

And also my New Years Eve nails from 2009. My nails were really long then. You can see more pictures in this blogpost.

Base China Glaze Eyes like Sapphires. Stamped with Konad SN silver little stripes from M72. The firework flowers with SN pastel blue and white M54. The text Happy with SN pastel blue and M43. For my thumb I used M46 for the text and M38 for the glasses. The numbers I made with the numbers on the side of imageplates M20 and M10 on the big demo plate.

Of course I will show my New Years Eve nails that I make this year too, but I think that will be Monday.

Thanks for reading enjoy your weekend!

Flowers and Sunglasses

Hi Everyone,

It still is nice summer weather here so I thought time for another summer creation. I made these in October 2011 (now you probably think that it is Fall in October but I just got back from my holiday to Greece and was still in the Summer mood ;)) I also wanted to test some of my new Essence plates. And I got the base polish from my sister who went on a short holiday to the South of Germany.

So I was really still in Summer mood in October...after coming back from my holidays to Greece I never want it to be Fall already. I wasn't really a fan of these nails, but they were okay for a few days :)

Base Gipsy Queen no 3 with a layer of CND effects Jade Sparkle. Both stamps are from a Essence plate (they are not named or numbered :()Glasses stamped with Konad SN black and colored them a bit with black Essence nail art pen to make them look like sunglasses. Flowers stamped with Konad SN white mixed with Hits Sorvete, yellow dot with Konad SN yellow and dotting tool.

 Under different light.

Here also some swatches.

Here swatches with the CND effects on top.

Thanks for reading/wacthing.

Sea nails with self made water decals :)

Hello everyone,

I made these nails last year in the beginning of September 2011 during my blogging break, and I did showed these nails a couple of months ago as a guest post on The Manicured Monkey, you can check this post out here.

I love making sea themed nails, I make at least one sea themed creation every summer but last year I did more then one ;)
Base MOHDA Bermuda-027 with a coat of CND Effect Sapphire Sparkle. Stamped with H20 using China Glaze LOL (from the OMG collection). And I made water decals of different sea creatures.

Sort of matching toes with just some bubbles from H20.

Some swatches of this pretty Brazillian base polish :) This is 3 coats.

Different lighting.

A close up with CND Sapphire Sparkle on top.

Enjoy your week!

Claire's Mood polish flirty/shy (+ CND effect and nail art)

Today I have a lot of photo's for you. Claire's Mood polish flirty/shy is a beautiful dark blue color and I love playing with mood polishes so I took a lot of photo's :) Also with CND effects Sapphire Sparkle on top and some nail art.

Let's start with the swatches of flirty/shy without the CND effect. It dries matte.

This is how it looks most of the time, warm fingers and cold tips.

Warm.

Warm and the tips are slowly turning colder.

Cold.

Cold and  I put the tips under warm water, you get the opposite effect of what it normally looks like :)

Under cold water.

Index and ring finger normal, middle finger and pinkie cold.

Index and ring finger warm, middle finger and pinkie cold.

Now the swatches with CND effects Sapphire Sparkle. Unfortunately I always find it hard to capture the effects on photo. So I couldn't capture the pink shimmer in it :(

With CND Sapphire Sparkle normal.

With CND Sapphire Sparkle warm.

With CND Sapphire Sparkle cold, in real life it looks a lot like Orly Lunar Eclipse, too bad I couldn't capture the pink in it.

With CND Sapphire Sparkle index and ring finger warm, middle finger and pinkie cold.

Close up, you can see the sparkle better (but not the pink flashes)

I really loved the polish with the CND but I did wanted to do some nail art on it. I liked the simplicity.

Stamped with Konad SN pastel blue and imageplate BM05.

A bit of strange settings but here you can see the sparkle better.

I totally love mood polishes, too bad they don't sell them here in Holland.

Happy 2011

I wish you all a happy, healthy 2011 with a lot of nail polish and nail art :) Here are as promised my current Happy New Year nails, like I said I've used a dark blue nail polish again.
As a base I'm wearing Sally Hansen - 16 Blue it, I got this color as a present/souvenir from my mom and dad from Fuertaventura (Canary Islands) it just needed one coat. On top I did a coat of CND effects Crimson sparkle. It is really diffucult to get that effect showing in a picture. I stamped the fireworks with BM20 used Konad SN pastel violet, pastel blue, pastel pink, pastel yellow, pastel orange and PSN apple green. Like last year I stamped the text Happy from plate M43 using different pastel stamping polishes. Used the numbers from the sides of plate M20 and M11. For my thumb I used M46 and the numbers from the big demo plate.

I had a hard time taking a good picture.

Here a swatch of Sally Hansen - 16 Blue it.
One coat (don't mind my ringfinger I damaged it a bit)

Here a swatch with CND Crimson sparkle, it is a weird picture but I just couldn't get the effect showing in a picture.
Happy New Year everyone and be careful with fireworks!

Christmas Workshop

Sometimes I organize Konad workshops at my home, such as birthday and bachelor party's. But also workshop/ meetings with my nail friends from the forum Beautiful Nails 4 U :) This week I had 3 of those workshops and we had al lot of fun. So here some pictures.

I decorated my workshop room in Christmas style.

My stash and some stuff that is for sale.
My door with ofcourse Disney ;)

The table, my little Christmas tree and my Disney Christmas balls.

As a table seating I decorated soms mini Christmas balls with the first letter of their names and some stamps.

Saturday I was expecting 8 people but because of the snow and bad weather only 4 people came, but we had a lot of fun.

Here you can see me acting weird in the back hahaha (thanks Michelle for this photo)

Sunday I had another workshop/meeting but I don't have pictures of that day.

Yesterday Brenda came to me, another friend couldn't come so it was just the two of us. But again we had a lot of fun and we counted all my nailpolish :)

And Brenda gave my my first CND effects...so sweet :) I also got one from Henny that was a big surprise because I already saw her saturday but Brenda had the polish and she couln't come then, so I got it yesterday....thanks again sweeties for the CND.

Here you can see me and Brenda.

As a thank you gift I gave all of them a Candy cane with a set of selfmade Christmas decals.

Merry Christmas everyone!
