"Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Hi everyone,

Here is my Rudolph mani with his "real" antlers made of twigs and his big shiny rhinestone nose. Sometimes I like being a little crazy and do something 3D (remember when I used my hair, toilet paper a real feather :)).

Anyway this is just a short post cause I have only one picture ;)
Base China Glaze Nail Lacquer Ruby Pumps and some gold glitter from Alessandro Nederland 297 on the tips. Ring finger is Born Pretty Bgirl white textured polish. Stamped with Bundle Monster BM H01 Rudolph and the snowflakes. Colored the big rhinesstone nose with Ruby Pumps too. And used twigs to make his antlers :) LOL.

Thanks for reading.

Alessandro No 261 with flowers

This is one of the polishes I won with the Show us your Country Challenge on Parokeets a couple of months ago. It's a nice color with a bit of duochrome, but I found it hard to capture that with my camera. First I'll show you the photos with nail art, below are the swatches. I made this about 3 weeks ago before I broke my nail ;)

Base Alessandro No 261 stamped with China Glaze Metallic Muse and XL plate F. The pink dots are made with a dotting tool and China Glaze Emotion. Photo with flash.

Photo with flash under artificial light.

Photo without flash under artificial light. Here you can see the purple/blue duochrome a little bit.

Now here are the swatches, like a said it was difficult to capture it's true beauty so I have a lot of different photos.
With flash.

Without flash under artficial light.

Without flash under artificial light, a bit of strange skin color, but here you can see the purple glow a little bit.

Also without flash under artificial light with some strange settings but in a different angle.

The bottle, in the bottle you can see the two colors the best.

Finally with flash under artificial light, then the purple glow is hardly visible.

Thanks again to Parokeets for this lovely polish ♥

Some new goodies

I went to Germany some place very close, because I was still a bit sick. I really wanted to go outside because of the nice weather, and of course it is always fun to look a the new nail polish collections. I bought some new polishes, but unfortunately I was really disappointed in two.

From left to right:
- a new color from Essence 52 Out of my mind (beautiful blue with green/gold shimmer maybe duochrome)
- Essence effect topper 04 Mystic mermaid (silver with blue and purple sparkles, really like this one but it's for a topcoat too opaque)
- P2 590 Who cares (such a sweet color)
- Essence magnetic nail polish 01 Miracle shine (a gray polish with lilac shimmer, nice color but the effect is disappointed compaired to the Essence LE magnetics and Alessandro)
- Essence cracking white (really ugly it cracks bad and slow and most of the time only veritcal cracks)

From left to right:
- Essence cracking white, you can see how ugly it is. It needs a really thin coat otherwise it doesn't crack at all, this was a thin coat.,
- Essence magnetic 01 Miracle shine with strong Alessandro magnet, you see the effect isn't that big.
- Essence magnetic 01 Miracle shine without any magnet, a nice gray with lilac shimmer, dries matte.
- Essence effect topper 04 Mystic mermaid.
- Essence 52 Out of my mind (love this color)
- P2 590 Who cares (also love this one it's is sooo cute)

On this photo you can see all my magnetic polishes with different magnets tests.
On 5 o'clock you see the new Essence magentic 01 Miracle shine, the bigger stripes are made with a refrigerator magnet, the smaller ones with the Alessandro magnet. You can see the effect of this new one is less. (don't pay attention to 4 o'clock there is crack polish under those magnetic polishes, so it looks nasty)

I really hated the white crack I tested it over my mood polish and then a did one coat of Essence 52 Out of my mind to make the white blue, it looks better, but I still hate the way it cracks. A close up of the magnetic polish you can see the lilac shimmer in it, but this was the best result with the magnet I could get :( I was playing with it for an hour, first I thought the magnet didn't worked anymore, later I thought I just couldn't do it anymore. But then I tested it with my other magnetic polishes and everything was fine.

I don't recommend buying the Essence white cracking polish, the magnetic one is not that magnetic but still a nice color without the magnetic effect.

My new goodies :)

I have some new goodies to show you. Let's start with my prize from the Show us your Country nail art Challenge from Parokeets I was so happy and surprised that I won :)

Some great make-up and lovely polishes and the most adorable earrings

Here you can see the polishes swatched on a wheel.

From left to right: Alessandro 297, Alessandro 261, Catrice From Dusk to Dawn, Gosh Powder, P2 Dangerous, Golden Rose 312 and Golden Rose 344.

Those cute earring were made by Maestra one of the Parokeet ladies. I immediately fell in love with them. That evening I went out to the dinner with my parents and boyfriend to this Yugoslavian restaurant and I just had to wear them :)
(Don't mind me just look at the earrings ;)) Even my boyfriend said that night that he loved the earrings :) So thanks again Parokeet ladies and especially Maestra for making them ♥

Friday evening I went to the household fair, this used to be a fair for household products, but these days you can find all kinds of stuff there :) Like make-up, nail polish, food, gadgets, clothes, and ofcourse also nice household stuff. There was a stand of Golden Rose and they had this 1+1 offer :) I had a shopping list for 3 of my lovely nail friends, Henny, Esther and Giuditta it was mostly for Golden Rose flakies but also some other polishes. This is what I bought all together.

Only the top 4 bottles are mine ;)

Golden Rose Paris Magic color: 309, 321, 327 and 328.

Swatched on a wheel: 321, 327, 328 and 309.

Last week I finally went to Michelle's home to pick up my XL plates. I couple of weeks ago we and some other friends from Beautiful Nails 4 U did a group order. But I just hadn't got the time to pick them up yet. Now I finally have my XL plate B and F and the XL stamp. I just love these plates and the stamp is nice too.
Next blog: China Glaze 2NITE swatches, my favorite.

Alessandro Go Magic Twist - Blue Chip

When I was in Germany, my sweet boyfriend finally found the Alessandro magnetic polish at the Muller :) It costed 12,95 euro's that is cheaper then I thougt but still my most expensive polish ever. I bought the blue one, and I was happy that I finally also had a good magnet (because the Essence one is not good at all). It's strange on the box or polish I can't seem to find the name (just a number) but I saw on the Alessandro website that this one is called Blue Chip.

A beautiful metallic blue with purple shimmer, with the magnet you pull out the purple shimmer :)
Photo without flash under artificial light.

Photo with flash. It was not as easy as I thought, the Alessandro magnet is much stronger and I was used to holding the magnet really close, but this magnet really pulls the nailpolish up and sometimes it even touched the magnet :(

Another photo with flash.

The polish, the magnet and some different swatches (see next photo).

First with my refrigerator magnet (you can see this one makes wider stripes and really pulls out the purple), second the Alessandro magnet normal, third the Alessandro magnet vertical and last the Alessandro magnet from a distance and with a really thin coat of polish.

Again the Essence magnetic polishes on the right with Alessandro magnet.

With some subtle Konad butterfly's (in real much better to see but I couldn't take a normal photo of it) plate M1 stamped with China Glaze Sci-Fi.
