Black with metallic hearts (V-day 2013)

Hi Everyone,

I know it is a bit late but here is my mani I actually had on my nails on Valentine's Day and this weekend. I did not wanted something too sweet/pink since I was going to a concert this weekend too. And I already made some girly pink mani's for V-day. So I chose a black base with skittle metallic hearts.

Base Beauty UK Midnight Minx black. Stamped with 5 different metallics from China Glaze 2030, Sci-fi, Admire, Metallic Muse and Harmony and Konad SN black for the words. The imageplate is MM03 from Messy Mansion

Some more pictures with different lighting, because the base and the metallics were so shiny it was hard to take a good picture.

No swacth picture this time because I've already show Beauty UK Midnight Minx black before.

I hope you all had a lovely V-day and weekend.

Fashion Inspired: Fairy stars dress

Hi Everyone,

Today I`ll show you another Fashion Inspired creation. Since it is almost New Years Eve I choose something a bit over the top :) a starry fairy dress. Thought it would be fun for this time of year ;)

Base Color Club Pucci-licious with a layer of Golden Rose Paris magic 307 and black tips with Beauty UK Midnight Minx black. Stamped with Konad SN pastel violet and imageplate M84 (on the tips) and M11.

 The nails.

 The fairy dress.

And a picture of just the base without the stamping.

The shimmer from Golden Rose Paris magic 307 was really hard to capture and some how looked a little streaky on the photo. But in real life it was prettier ;)

I mad these for Konad Irelands Fashion Inspired contest. There are only a few entries so far and still a couple of days to enter....so you should all enter too :) it is so much fun to do Fashion Inspired nails. And making them with only Konad is a challenge too ;)

Enjoy your Saturday!

My sad gray Mommy memorial Christmas nails :(

Hi Everyone,
Today it's been exactly a year that my mom died...it was 2nd Christmas day 2011. So I decided to make some less happy Christmas nails for Christmas. I've been making happy nails for a couple of weeks already and I really wanted to make these now for my mommy, cause I don't feel happy at all. And as you know I love doing my nails for special things/themes/occasions. And I really like making sort of landscape/scenery nails too.
I did a black, gray, white gradient for my zebra fashion nails and I really like that, so I decided to do it again but then the other way around, so black tips instead of black at the cuticles. It gives the whole scene a bit of dramatic, sad feeling, but to make a little more sparkly for Christmas I added a holographic topcoat.
Base a gradient of Essence 50's girls reloaded 01 Ahoy, Catrice 01 Pebbles Beach and Beauty UK Midnight Minx black. Added a layer of Chine Glaze Wireless holographic topcoat. All the snowflakes (bigger and little) are from HB23 stamped with Konad SN white. The rest is stamped with Konad SN black.

Pinkie: trees from Nailways Snowwhite Christmas A-NW00002 plate.
Ring finger: cross from Konad S2, tree from HB33, cute snow bunny from HB38.
Middle finger: big tree HB012, small tree HB33.
Index: snowman from BM318 (I gave him a sad face), tree HB33.
Thumb: the sort of tombstone is actually the slot machine from Konad M48 that I colored in and painted a little cross on top, tree is from HB33 and the word mom and 2011 are made with the numbers and letters on the side of Konad M20 and M11.
Here another picture.

And some swatches of the gradient base.
I like this gradient.

And also a picture of Danbo in my mommy's memorial corner.
With the funeral thank you card (where she is watching the endless sunset in Greece), my little urn with Greek signs, her picture and the funeral card we designed our selves (she took this picture herself on Santorini).

Hope you all have a great Christmas.

Fashion Inspired: black gradient with zebra stripes

Hi Everyone,
Today I'll show you something I made in the beginning of this week for Wacky Laki's Fashion Inspired contest. I had so much fun doing my first Fashion inspired nails, that I did another (Christmas) one today but that is a bit of a fail ;) But of course I will show them later this week too ;)
Here are my first Fashion Inspired nails :) I am not really the animal print kind of girl, but my BF really liked this dress and said I should do these. And I was like well it is the perfect way for me to use animal prints again :) And in the end I was happy with the final result.
Base a black/gray/white gradient with China Glaze Snow, Catrice C01 Pebbles Beach and Beauty UK Midnight Minx black. And stamped with Konad M57 and SN black.
The dress... I would actually wear this despite the fact I don't really like animal print. I think this one is pretty :) You can buy it here at Simplydresses.
 Another picture of my nails.
 Again :)
And some swatches of just the black and white gradient base.

I believe you can see all the entries tomorrow on Wacky Laki and vote for your favorite then :)

I really had so much fun and think I will do Fashion Inspired nails more often :) Like I said did some today on a red base but that was a fail, but will show those next week ;)

Thanks for reading.
And have a nice weekend!

Halloween 2012: roses, spiders and skulls + party pics

Hi Everyone,

I went to a Halloween party this weekend in a rock cafe in Utrecht. We had so much fun. Also the pre fun of dressing up and doing our make-up and making bloody handprints on my best friend his cooking clothes. I also had fun doing the make-up of the guys. I went there with my boyfriend, my sister and my best friend. Below you also see pictures of how we look liked :) This post has a lottttt of pictures, hope you don't mind.

Of course my nails had to match my outfit.
Barielle Elle's Spell over Beauty Midnight Minx black. Stamped some roses from Konad M65 with Color Club Worth the Risque. Stamped with SN white the bat from Konad Coraline C04, Halloween from M13, and the spiders and skull from M28. Painted some mini silver rhinestones red for the eyes on my ring finger.

Before the skulls and spider, I already liked it this way it just had something.

Also some swatches of the layered base.

I got this cool red flakie polish from the sweet Nat of No Holos!

Also a swatch of just the black base.

I also pimped some jewelry :)

And ofcourse some party pics haha lol.

Our full outfits. My dress short in front and long at the back and full of skulls.

Having fun with the stage blood, my handprints where everywhere...he killed me..I was even writing help in blood.

A little spider on my cheek.

Somehow I looked really white here, thought it was also cool if I really was that white (only for Halloween)

Me and my sister.

Rhinestones are not just for your nails :P I thought lets stick them to my face :) haha.

My sister Angelique, my best friend Dennis, me and my boyfriend Dave (trying to look angry hahaha).

Me and my big sis.

 In the Stairway to Heaven.

 Me and Dave.

 Dave acting funny hihi.

The 4 of us in the Stairway to Heaven.

 My sis between the zombies.

Dave looking scary.

And the final picture:

Neon Under the Sea Summer nails :)

Hello everyone,

I sooo love making Summer nails, so today another summer mani ;) I also made these for the OC contest, I just can't resist a summer theme ;) It's so much fun. I am not that good in coloring between the lines, but I am happy with the result.

My left hand.
Base is Beauty UK Midnight Minx - black. Stamped with Konad SN black and SN white. Imageplates M21, M24, M27, M29, M33, M34, M35 and M82. Then I colored over the white stamps with different sheer neon stripers from Flormar and SoEasy and polishes. Like I said it not all very neat but I still like it :)

This was my inspiration: a 2 meters wide velvet fan with neon sea life painted on it. It hangs in our bedroom, so I always see it when I go to sleep and wake up :)

This is how I entered the OC contest, everything together in a picture.

Right hand (even less neater :P).

 Hands and feet.

Hand and foot.

Here a swatch of this nice black polish. It really applied great and was in 2 coats opaque.

Still hoping for nice warm sunny weather....next week will be better, sooo they say ;)

Thanks for sending the sun to me last weekend, we kept it dry and also saw the sun. But it did rain a lot before so the beach was flooded, but I danced on bare feet in the puddles :)

Have a nice week.
