Green and Glitter nails + Liebster Blog award

Ever since I bought the glitter Essence Twin duo 06 Edward I was thinking that it would look great over China Glaze Four Leaf Clover (that looks a bit like Essence Bella that belongs with Edward). So last week I decided to try that out.

Base China Glaze Refresh-mint and a french of China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. On top of the french Essence Twins duo 06 Edward. I stamped with China Glaze Four Leaf Clover and Konad imageplate M57. On my ring finger Istamped a flower from M31 also with China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, in the middle a silver rhinestone.

My camera had a bit of trouble to take a photo of the true color of Four Leaf Clover. The french and stamps really looked the same color in real life ;)

Photo without flash in natural daylight.

I received the Liebster Blog again, I know I already got it but I feel so honored so I would love to mention it again. And I thought I is also a great opportunity to give it away to 3 other bloggers too, because there are a lot of lovely blog out there who deserve more attention ;)

This time a got my Liebster Blog award from the lovely Yasmin from Oh What Fun you should really check out her blog! She has a really nice blog and deserves more followers ;)

The Liebster Award is designed to bring well deserved additional recognition to those bloggers with less than 300 followers. If you receive the award you link back to the blogger that nominated you and nominate 3 more blogs.

Disney: Beauty and the Beast contest entry

Confessions of a Polishaholic was hosting a Disney theme contest :) I saw this a while ago and was really excited, then I read the rules and I was like oh no never mind forget about it. I don't do really free hand nail art and don't have any tools for that. But then Orlica mentioned her contest again in the comments on my Disney Flounder nails and I said I thought I wasn't allowed to enter, then she said I was when I just add some free hand details to my creation. So I decided to enter and did my best to make some free hand details ;) Ofcourse I'm not an artist like most of them who have entered, but I just love Disney and couldn't resist to make Disney nails....as you all probably know I do make Disney nails often :)

Base is GOSH Powder I made my own water decals of Beauty and the Beast, on my pinkie Lumière, ring finger Belle, middle finger Mrs. Potts and Chip, index finger Cogsworth and on my thumb the Beast. On top a coat of China Glaze Wireless Holographic topcoat.

I never do any free hand nail art and don't have any good tools for it like I said but I did my best add some free hand details. I made the paws and flowers with a dotting tool and a toothpick with Konad SN polish.

You can see the rest of the entries when you click the link above, and you can vote if you follow her blog. I especially like no 5, 14, 18 and 22. I voted for no 18...just love Piglet. You can vote for me, but I don't expect that ;) because they are really great entries and mine isn't that great. But the the main thing is I liked my nails and loved making them.

xoxox

PS: this has nothing to do with nail art but will you vote for my photo?

You can vote by clicking on this photo or this link: http://foto.pearle.nl/zonnebrillen/foto/1013 that just click on "Stem op deze foto" that means vote for this photo.

I look so dumb hahahaha, but I can win these sunglasses. Maybe they look better in reallife *lol*

Thanks for voting, I hope you will ask other people to vote, it's really easy just one click ;)

Part of my stash + another award ♥

I asked my dad a couple of times if he can make me a nail polish wall display. But he had other things on his mind. Two weeks ago I had Konad Easter Workshop at my place and I really wanted that display before that. Because my glass case was really full and I had no idea where to leave the rest of my polishes. So it was a race against time, but my dad finally made me this wonderfull display. At first I had to pay only for the materials but now it is an early birthday present which is next month.

This is how it look like filled with all different kinds of bottles...there are more then 250 bottles of nail polish in it :) I still have some other polishes and sets in my glass case, along with (special) topcoats and nail art stuff.

Here it is empty hanging in my own nail/workshop room at my boyfriend's place.

The top rows are filled with my bottles of China Glaze.

The rest of my stash a plastic dresser with stuff such as remover, table towels, cotton pads, my extry stamps and scrapers for when I have a workshop etc. On top my Konad suitcase and a box filled with some topcoats and spare polishes. My glass case with my boxes of stamping polish on top, other polishes and sets, nail art and more stuff.

The glass case in the back is filled with stuff I still have for sale. So people can buy some goodies when then come to my place for a workshop.

I'm really happy with the wall display my dad made for me, thank you daddy ♥

It must be award week, because I also received the Liebster Blog award from The Nail Addict
Thank you so much for this award ♥ I gave her the Kreativ Blogger Award you should really check it out, she makes gorgeous stamping designs.

The Liebster Award is designed to bring well deserved additional recognition to those bloggers with less than 300 followers. If you receive the award you link back to the blogger that nominated you and nominate 3 more blogs.

There are many great blogs with less than 300 followers out there but I would love to give this award to these 3 ladies:

They are great bloggers who make wonderful creations and really deserve to have more followers.

Kreativ Blogger Award

I feel sooo honored, I am tagged by three people for the Kreativ Blogger Award.

The people who tagged me are:
- Sarah from Spellbinding Nails
- Elize from Purrrpolish

Edit: I also got it from the lovely Michelle from Passion for Nails. Michelle I knew you already got this award and you sure do deserve it!

Thank you so much sweeties for giving me this award. You all deserve this award too, when you wouldn't have got it already I sure would give it to you :)

Here's what you have to do:

- Write 10 facts about yourself.
- Pass the award along to 10 other bloggers and tell them about the award!

Oh wow 10 things about myself...lets see:

1. I have two places I call home ;) I officially live with my parents, but most of the time I live with my boyfriend especially during the week, in the weekend we are mostly at my parents place because I like that city better ;) It's about 25 minutes car drive between both homes.

2. I don't have my driving license, I don't think I will ever get that. Im affraid of driving (not be a passenger but driving myself) I grew up without a car (my parents didn't and still don't have a car) and I'm used to travel with public transport (especially before I met my boyfriend who is a driver).

3. I was born on the day the summer starts (June 21) That means it is the longest day with the most daylight hours.

4. I have freckles which I really don't like, when I was little I really hated them, but now I've "accepted" them as part of me being a summer child.

5. My hamster is more then 2 years old (they live to be 2-3 years old) and everyday I get up and check if he's still alive (he is still very active though but I'm just affraid of losing him so I check it ;))
His name is Bowser isn't he cute?

6. I still sometimes find it hard to imagine that I stopped biting my nails and now have long natural nails.

7. I don't have one favourite color, I always match some black clothes with something colorfull and ofcourse my clothes have to match my nails ;)

8. I love my boyfriend Dave for many reasons, one of them is that he loves shopping. Most of the time we shop clothes for him :) He also drives to Germany regularly to shop there, and he drives me and my nail friends there so we can go nail shopping. He doesn't mind that at all and sometimes even helpes us looking and choosing ;)

9. I love to drink fruit drinks, next to that my favourite soft drink is 7-up or cassis (when I go out I drink that or very occasionally a beer)

10. I love nail polish (that is totally new info right ;)) and all my lovely followers, thank you so much for following my blog ♥

Many people who'd I love to pass this award to already received it (or gave it to me, thanks again ♥) so I did my best to find (new)  bloggers who haven't received it (recently).

I would love to pass this award to:

I actually want to give this to all my readers and the blogs I follow ;)

Q-day 2011 Dutch Hello Kitty

Tomorrow it is Queensday here in Holland, so here are my new Q-day nails ;) This year I wanted something more subtle ;) But ofcourse all our national colors did had to be in it. Unfortunately my Ez flow topcoat smudged the orange french so everything has an orange glow on it :( also Hello Kitty and the white glitter base color from China Glaze.

Base China Glaze Glacier a bit of a white base with multi colored glitter in it. Orange tips made with Essence 09 Get the fever. Self made and designed Hello Kitty decals, she is wearing a Dutch dress and bow with the colors of our flag and the colors fade a bit at the edges. Stamped with China Glaze Peachy Keen and XL plate B on the tips.

Like I said unfortunately everything got this orange glow from my topcoat, but on Queensday it is allowed that everything is orange ;)

Here a close up from one nail:
Happy Q-day for my Dutch readers :) and don't forget to follow Nagelzone and enter her giveaway, she wants 5 more followers for this giveaway that ends tomorrow!

To everyone have a nice weekend.!

Queensday nails from 2010 & 2009

On April 30th we celebrate Queensday here in Holland. And ofcourse I always make some matching nails. I will make my nails for this year tomorrow, but today I'll show my Q-day nails from last year and the year before that ;) Our national color is orange and the color of our flag are red, white and blue. So these are the colors you see a lot on Q-day.

This creation I made in 2010:
Base China Glaze Peachy Keen with China Glaze Orange Knockout (this one is quite sheer so that's why I used Peachy Keen under it) it was sooooo bright, almost needed sunglasses to look at it. I stamped some crowns with Konad SN red, SN white and SN blue imageplate M40. Also in the same colors the dots from M79.

Here sort of a swatch from Peachy Keen with Orange Knockout:
It was soo bright so I had trouble to capture it's true color.

And now the ugliest nails you have ever seen!!!!! I made this in 2009 I find them horrible (people really liked them that day but looking back I can't imagine I had the courage to walk around with these nails ;) hahah)
I sponged the red, white and blue nails with Konad SN polish and rainbow glitter. Stamped the orange crown with M40. My ring and index finger have an orange base color (don't remember which one I believe it was a color of L`oreal) the tips I stamped with Konad SN pastel orange and rainbow glitter. The flowers I stamped with SN red, white and blue and imageplate M25.

I also wore this horrible matching ring that day, especially young children really liked that one :)

Tomorrow I will make my Q-day nails for this year!

Swap with Spellbinding Nails

The lovely Sarah from Spellbinding Nails asked me if I sell my selfmade decals. And we decided to swap. I search and made here some cute Disney decals, she had a list of what she wanted. So I did my best to find or make everything on the list ;) I still had no idea what I wanted in return. I like foreign nail polish, something I can't buy here in Holland, so I said to her surprise me with a nice bottle of nail polish...I was thinking about just one or maybe two bottles...but she got me soooooo many goodies :) I felt that my swap for her was sooo tiny compared to what she got me, I know making decals takes a lot of time and effort but still .... it looks so small ;)

Look what she got for me :) It felt like it was my birthday unpacking everything and it just didn't stop, there was so many in it :)

Look how cute those baby OPI's are :) (yeah I have a weakness for baby bottles find them sooo cute) The colors are great too, don't know which colors they are but I like them :)

And some nice nail art stuff.

Also a sweet card and some yummy chocolate eggs (I think they are yummy I haven't tried them yet because it would be weird taking a photo of an empty bag with only wrapping papers in it ;))

And look at this really lovely nail polish set, I really love the colors.

Thank you Sarah!

For those of you who don't follow Spellbinding Nails yet, you should really do that (I've a feeling that all my readers already follow her ;)) She makes wonderfull designs and what makes her blog unique is that everytime she uses an imageplate she also swatches the rest of the images on it on her nails. So you can see how all the images look like.

Thanks again for all those lovely goodies ♥

Happy Easter everyone!

I have some new Easter nails.I really like the Easter Egg images on plate HB38. And I wanted to wear this polish with Easter since I saw the swatch from my friend Brenda. So it was an easy choice for me to make this :)

Base P2 Who Cares with CND effects Copper pearl. Stamped with imageplate HB38. I used Konad SN yellow, SN pink pearl, SN pastel violoet, SN pastel blue and PSN popgreen.

Here a swatch of P2 Who Cares?

I didn't clean up very well because I wanted to do CND on top of it, and thought clean up later ;)

P2 Who Cares? with CND effects Copper pearl, I love the pink shimmer on this light blue polish.

Happy Easter everyone!
